Algorithms have been presented, analyzed and experimentally tested to stabilize the reaction temperature at constant inlet temperature and composition of the feed by controlled dispensing of the catalyst. The information for the control element is the course of the reaction temperature. If the temperature of the reaction mixture is below the set point, the catalyst is being fed into the reactor at a constant rate. If the reaction temperature is higher the catalyst dispenser is blocked; dispensing of the catalyst is not resumed until the set point temperature has been reached again. The amount of catalyst added is a function of the duration of the switching cycle. The effect has been discussed of the form of this function on the course of the switching cycle. The results have been tested experimentally on a laboratory reactor controlled in an unstable steady state.

This paper presents a numerical study of local thermal behavior. Vertical walls are equipped with alveolar structure and/or simple glazing in East, South and West frontages. Local temperature is assumed to be variable with time or imposed at set point temperature. Results principally show that the simple glazing number has a sensitive effect on convection heat transfer and interior air temperature. They also show that the diode effect is more sensitive in winter. The effect of alveolar structure and simple glazing on the power heating in case with set point temperature is also brought out.

A multi-QoS evaluation model for electric power users is defined, combined with the characteristics of data center in electric power corporation, based on the research of cloud computing platform of data center in electric power corporation and task scheduling strategies of cloud data center. And a genetic algorithm based on multi-QoS, which fitness functions are QoS utility value and completion time, is put forward. Tests in Cloudsim platform and the result shows that the genetic algorithm based on multi-QoS can satisfy the requirements of multi-QoS of electric power users and improve the operating efficiency of data center in electric power corporation.

In the present work, we analyze the influence of the designer’s choice of values for the human metabolic index (met) and insulation by clothing (clo) that can be selected within the ISO 7730 for the calculation of the energy demand of buildings. To this aim, we first numerically modeled, using TRNSYS, two buildings in different countries and climatologies. Then, we consistently validated our simulations by predicting indoor temperatures and comparing them with measured data. After that, the energy demand of both buildings was obtained. Subsequently, the variability of the set-point temperature concerning the choice of clo and met, within limits prescribed in ISO 7730, was analyzed using a Monte Carlo method. This variability of the interior comfort conditions has been finally used in the numerical model previously validated, to calculate the changes in the energy demand of the two buildings. Therefore, this work demonstrated that the diversity of possibilities offered by ISO 7730 for the choice of clo and met results, depending on the values chosen by the designer, in significant differences in indoor comfort conditions, leading to non-negligible changes in the calculations of energy consumption, especially in the case of big buildings.
