Vaccine requirements are becoming more mandatory in several countries as public health experts and governments become more concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic and its variants. In the meantime, as the number of vaccine requirements grows, so does the counterfeiting of vaccination documents. Fake vaccination certificates are steadily growing, being sold online and on the dark web. Due to the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a need of robust authentication mechanisms that support touch-less technologies like Near Field Communication (NFC). Thus, in this paper, a blockchain-NFC based COVID-19 Digital Immunity Certificate (DIC) system is proposed. The vaccination data are first encrypted by the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm on Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and then uploaded to the blockchain. The proposed system is based on the amalgamation of NCF and blockchain technologies which can mitigate the issue of fake vaccination certificates. Furthermore, the emerging issues of employing the proposed system are discussed with future directions.

The security of powering systems has been a major problem over the last decade, leading to an increased interest in wireless power and data transfer. In this research paper, a new inductive Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) circuit topology has been used. In traditional WPT circuits, the inverters are used to produce an oscillation for the transmitter coils. The classic WPT system includes intrinsic energy dissipation sources due to the use of switches, necessitating the need of an extra control circuit to ensure proper switching time. Furthermore, they have limited data encryption capabilities. As a result, an unique WPT system based on memristors has been developed, eliminating the need for switches. Furthermore, because this novel topology communicates a synchronised chaotic behaviour, it becomes highly beneficial. This circuit may be used in Near Field Communication (NFC), where chaotic true random numbers (TRNG) can be generated to increase security. The results of simulations indicate the functioning of the Memristor-based WPT (M-WPT) and its ability to generate random numbers. We experimentally proved the chaotic behaviour of the circuit and statistically demonstrated the development of the TRNG, using an Arduino board and the Chua circuit to build the M-WPT circuit.

Abstract In COVID 19 pandemic, new norms have been introduced, including, to leave a record when checking-in to a particular place. This new norm is regulated in order to trace locations that have been visited by someone with positive COVID-19. This paper presents a work on development of check-in location system. The system implemented Near Field Communication (NFC) technology which is mainly utilized two NFC compatible devices where an identification card (IC) is used as a smart object (NFC tag) and the NFC detector as an NFC reader to exchange information. Testing has been conducted in order to observe the system performance, and, the results showed that this system is able to collect information of users who were coming to premise. Also, the information can be checked by authority in order to track someone with positive COVID-19. As conclusion, this system can be an alternative to MySejahtera App.

The print-out price for printer services varies according to the density of the paper and the amount of ink used, and the payment is made manually by calculating the total print output. Therefore a system is created that can display rates and total invoices automatically based on time printed, as well as automatic payments that make it easier for service providers and service users. The design of this system consists of Arduino mega, ESP8266, relay, Near Field Communication (NFC), and printer. This system can distinguish the print price rates according to the time of printing, the time span of printing and the tariff is Rp. 300.00 with a printing time of 1-6 seconds, Rp. 500.00 with a time of 7-13 seconds, and finally Rp. 700, 00 with a time span above 14 seconds. The success rate of this system in classifying print tariffs is 95%.

The attendance management of the organization is an essential activity of their mundane life, has necessitated the need for revolutionary automatic attendance record-keeping and tracking systems. Paper surveys the emerging automated tools and applications which are popularly dominating this activity and fulfilling the requirement of accurate attendance marking systems. The technological era has gravitated more towards biometric attendance systems, but there are myriad other technologies that have been neglected thoroughly. The author identifies, extract, classify, and highlight all the evolving AMS (Attendance Management System) and have analyzed and compared their performances precisely and conscientiously. This survey identifies assorted AMS as biometric, NFC (Near Field Communication), RIFD (Radio Frequency Identification), Bluetooth, and cloud computing-based attendance systems. This article not only provides the literature review on the earlier work, but also provides an analytical report related to cloud-based AMS, discussions, and future recommendations.

Our main aim in this paper is to show that traceability has become more than a way to guarantee the stock details but also useful after the delivery of the orders. In this paper, we are trying to illustrate this idea where how companies can implement traceability using modern technologies. After researching with the various industrial company about how traceability works, we came up the technologies which can help the company to implement traceability with ease. The companies need traceability in order to track the products while packaging, before and after delivery of orders. With coherent traceability, it becomes easier to locate the missing products in the orders after the delivery and provides credibility of the orders. We are going to review three technologies used in the inventory management systems and how can we use these technologies in traceability is Barcode Technology, Radio Frequency Identification(RFID), and Near Field Communication(NFC).

With electronic payment systems becoming the quintessence of today’s technologically driven society, the integration of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in this field has made the experience of consumers at point of sale (POS) terminals exponentially favorable. This technology, based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and implemented to allow for short-range communication to be possible, has been adopted worldwide in a variety of applications and has enabled the secure bidirectional exchange of data between two NFC enabled devices. NFC allows communication between two NFC-enabled devices within a range of 10 centimeters. The integration of NFC into mobile devices has greatly increased the capabilities of mobile phones, with the potential to do even more. This occurrence has prompted a number of studies on NFC. At the same time, there are substantial issues about customer satisfaction, privacy, speed, and convenience, among other things.
