In an undergraduate (UG) medical education program, the educational environment is a critical factor of effective outcomes. Because it is a proven approach for this assessment in medical schools, the Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM) was employed in this study.1. To assess the student’s perception of the educational environment using the Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure (DREEM) questionnaire among 1st-year undergraduate medical students. 2. To identify the strengths and weaknesses in student’s educational environment.A cross-sectional study was carried out among first-year medical students. To obtain student perceptions of the educational environment, a widely accepted DREEM questionnaire was employed. The DREEM questionnaire is divided into five sections, each of which has 50 statements that are rated on a five-point Likert scale (0–4). The questionnaire was distributed to consented individuals (n=150) after receiving ethical approval. The filled questions were collected and statistically evaluated. The data were presented as mean and standard deviation, frequency, and percentages. The responses were analyzed and interpreted using McAleer and Roff's practical recommendations. There was a 100% response rate. The average DREEM score was 124.9 ± 50 (62.46%). Among the five DREEM dimensions, students' perceptions of learning received the highest score (65.63%), while students' perceptions of the environment received the lowest (59.31 %).Statements “I have good friends in this college”, “My social life is good” and “I am confident about passing this year” scored ≥ 3 of 4 points.“A more positive than negative perception,” according to the total mean DREEM score. Student confidence, social life, instructor knowledge, encouragement to participate in a teaching session, teacher preparedness, and having excellent friends on campus received the most positive answers. However, there is space for development in areas where there is a lack of expertise, such as student ennui and creative teaching.

The paper explores the interface between the new theoretical approach of ecolinguistics and language educational practices in the new digital environments that we have plunged into during 2020-2021. From the standpoint of ecological communication and eco-semiotics, the exploration highlights its impact on language learning and education in general, as re-contextualized in the new digital spaces we have all been experiencing as educators and learners. The theoretical input from semiotics and conceptual linguistics on the one hand, and educational ecology on the other hand, is paired with a direct empirical analysis of the students’ language learning experience at the USAMVBT University of Timisoara, Romania, the University of Tetova, North Macedonia, and Lomza State University from Poland. Our aim is to better understand how to sustain students’ communicational skills and their overall adaptation to the emerging digitalised educational environment across fields of study.

Based on the analysis of Russian literature, the article considers e-learning as a modern format of educational activity, as a modern pedagogical technology. The role of digital transformation of education is emphasized, which involves constant updating of the content of education and planned learning outcomes, methods, means and control of educational activities in a dynamically developing digital information and educational environment. The use of new types of educational activities based on the interpenetration of already traditional teaching models and modern digital technologies contributes to the quality training of students. Taking into account the prevailing factors, the most effective in this regard is the creation and use of educational e-courses, the active introduction of e-learning into the professional training of specialists. The implementation of educational activities based on e-learning is accompanied by a specially created information and educational environment, which takes over the provision of training through the use of information and communication technologies, network services for the development of educational programs. Electronic educational resources are presented in electronic form and include a certain structure, the main subject content and output data. Thanks to electronic resources, information interaction between participants in educational relations is ensured, the quality of formed competencies and the knowledge of information culture among students increases. The active introduction of e-learning requires not only the psychological and professional preparedness of all participants in the educational distance learning process, but also its theoretical development and methodological support. The development of e-learning stimulates the need for the formation of professional competencies among teachers for successful activities in the electronic information and educational environment. Electronic educational technologies make it possible to complement and expand existing forms of educational communication, and in this sense, the use of e-learning in education today is not only the use of information technologies and digital solutions in the interaction of the teacher and students, but also defines a new format of teaching.
