The varied natural potential makes Bogor Regency has a lot of natural tourism potential. Its location in the highlands adds to the attraction of tourists to visit. One of the natural tourist destinations in Bogor Regency is Cipamingkis waterfall, the location of this waterfall is in Wargajaya Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency. Sukamakmur district actually has several tourist attractions, such as the Kahyangan villa and the Ciherang waterfall. However, the existence of this tourist attraction has not had a significant impact on the villagers, most of the villagers still rely on agricultural fields as their livelihood. In addition, the village youth have not played a role in the management of tourism objects. They prefer to work outside the village rather than develop their village. Therefore, this community service activity aims to provide training in managing and developing tourism objects in Sukamakmur district, the concept of community-based tourism management or better known as Community Based Tourism (CBT). The training was carried out in three stages, including program socialization, group discussions, and the last stage was tourism management planning. The results of these activities, in the socialization stage, the youth of Sukamakmur district actually have the motivation to manage and develop tourism objects in Sukamakmur district. However, it is constrained by limited knowledge about the management of tourism objects. The second stage of activity tries to dig up information on the existence of the tourist attraction, so that several alternative tourism development plans are obtained. In the last stage, it is activated to try alternative tourism objects that can be developed in Sukamakmur district with the hope that Sukamakmur district becomes a Tourism Village and residents get a positive impact.

<p>This research aims at explaining the standardization of halal tourism management in West Nusa Tenggara. The result shows that the standardization of halal tourism management through Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2016 on Halal Tourism has not solved the problems of regional tourism such as good environmental maintenance from the increasingly damaged biology resource crisis, the deforestation, the limited water resources, soil erosion, sedimentation, abrasion on the cost, coral reef damage, littering 53% or about 250 ton plastic waste every day.  Even, this regional regulation is in contrary to the higher laws and religious nuances. <em></em></p>

This chapter discusses gamification as a viable strategy to deliver tourism and hospitality management curricula effectively at a non-public Western university in Vietnam. This chapter discusses how Western tourism and hospitality curricula, which aim at developing problem-solving skills, independent thinking, and individual initiative in a global marketplace, are at odds with the education system in Vietnam, and proposes specific strategies that can be employed by global educators to bridge this gap. A case-study with upper-level tourism management Vietnamese undergraduates is presented as demonstrative of the benefits of gamification of tourism and hospitality management curriculum delivery. Knowledge of Vietnamese behavioral mores, culture, and language are highlighted as conditions for the successful implementation of gamification efforts in this educational setting. Implications for educational praxis, suggestions and recommendations for best uses, common pitfalls, and directions for future research in light of extant literature are discussed.

The development of digital communication technologies and the increase in the use of digital platforms by individuals have increased the tendency towards touristic activities. Cultural tourism, which is carried out for certain purposes within the diversity of tourism, is one of the rising tourism activities of recent times. In this context, tourism management benefits from social media platforms as a tool in marketing their products and services related to cultural tourism. Social media platforms are important here for two aspects. The first of these is the use of social media by tourism management in the marketing of products and services by organizing individual and mass cultural tours and communicating with target audiences. The second is that individuals benefit from social media platforms in participating in cultural tourism and decision making. In this direction, it is important to evaluate conceptually the relationship between social media platforms, one of the most important digital communication technologies, and cultural tourism.

This paper aims at testing the significance of using case studies as a teaching method for the topic of “Tourism Crisis Management”. The case of Arab Spring influence on Jordanian Tourism was selected for this purpose. A sample of 42 students in a Tourism Management BA Program filled a questionnaire, it focused on measuring knowledge of students about the influence of Arab Spring crisis on both the image of Jordan as a tourism destination, and Jordanian tourism economic indicators, also evaluating the performance of tourism stakeholders in the time of crisis. By conducting a paired t-test for responses before and after presenting the case study to students by the instructor, significant statistical differences were found for most of the measured variables, which supports the importance of case studies in making students more aware of political crises’ effect on tourism levels, and how to reduce their influences and retrieve the positive image of destinations.

Introduction. The topic is of relevance due to the need to study tourist flows in terms of the geography of tourist trips in order to analyze and compare the directions of the flows. The problem is that the authorities responsible for tourism management in the region and tourism organizations do not always pay due attention to the geography of the tourist flow and to its optimization in terms of the interests of the region itself. At the same time, the identified trends can be taken into consideration in order to improve and increase the efficiency of the tourism industry in the region and when making managerial decisions in the tourism sector. Based on the results of the study conducted, the article characterizes the travel destinations of Mordovian tourists, reveals trends, and proposes measures to solve the identified problems. Materials and Methods. The materials on the development of tourism in the Republic of Mordovia published by the Territorial Body of the State Statistics Service in the Republic of Mordovia for the period from 2010 to 2019 were analyzed; data from the Digital Tourism service run by MegaFon mobile phone operator were also examined. The methods of mathematical statistics employed made it possible to calculate the changes in the relative and absolute indicators of the geography of the tourist flow in the republic over a ten-year period. To identify the geography of the regional tourist flow, the methods of analysis and generalization were used, which made it possible to identify the features of the internal and external tourist flows of people living in Mordovia. Results. An analysis of the dynamics and placement of inbound and outbound tourism has been carried out; the volume of the tourist flow has been considered; the features of the geography of the tourist flows have been considered; the problems that hinder the more effective development of tourism in the republic have been revealed. The measures aimed at improving the efficiency of tourism activities in the region have been proposed. Discussion and Conclusion. The study made it possible to identify the main trends in the geography of the tourist flows of residents of Mordovia, as well as the causes and features of the ongoing transformations. The results of the study can contribute to the elaboration of an effective program for the development of tourism in the republic, to the adoption of productive managerial decisions in the field of tourism in the region, and to optimization of the geography of the tourist flows.

Penyengat Island has a valuable historical footprint not only for Indonesia but also for Malaysia and Singapore, as well as having a wealth of ancient literacy and influential religious values. Data were collected from tourists visiting Penyengat Island through distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents, combined with in-depth interviews, focused discussions with representative and competent key persons related to the issues discussed. This study found that the accommodation and amenities components are still the main problems in developing tourism on Penyengat Island. The factors of tourism management, tourist safety, public awareness of tourism, and environmental preservation are other central issues that need attention. The development of broad tourism promotion using information technology media and supported by professional management will be able to accelerate the tourism growth of Penyengat Island. Purpose of this study is to measure the dynamics of historical and religious tourism on Penyengat Island using the 5 A attribute approach (attractions, accessibility, accommodation, amenities and awareness). This research is focused on the empirical conditions of the dynamics of tourism development in Penyengat Island, with a qualitative descriptive research method through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observations, and transects. The attributes of accommodation, amenities, and awareness of public tourism are still low. The main factor of the problem lies in the management of tourism in Penyengat Island that has not been done professionally and integratedly by targeting foreign tourists Overall and integrated tourism management by building destinations that ensure the comfort and safety of tourists, building information technology-based promotional media that can reach the wider community, and building a network of partnerships with stakeholders in the development of tourist destinations and strengthening human resources.

Objective - Teaching quality is more and more profoundly decisive for the achievement of higher educational institutions. On this background, Games-Based Learning (GBL) and Experiential-Based Learning (EBL) are the key teaching methodologies which are often used to enhance the teaching-learning quality by assisting both teachers and students gain their objectives. Teaching in the Age of Covid-19 is also another challenge for most of the Educators. Given the importance of the topic in university, the aim of this research is to present an organized review of the literature on the use of GBL as a tool to boost the distinction and the excellence of the teaching process in general, and, in particular, the teaching of hospitality management. Methodology/Technique - The work searched mainly the most appropriate literature on the application of gamification to educational contexts. The empirical analysis of a game-based project assigned to 27 players, who are Hospitality Students at FPT University Danang, has shown very significant results. Finding - One of the primary outcomes of this research is to describe theoretical approaches mainly to GBL, then EBL and provide a conceptual model that gathers the contribution of various studies and make way for in future deeper research. Another important finding is the gradual integration of various types of experiential learning activities into a hospitality and tourism management syllabus. Novelty - The significance of the research results shows that he best of both academic and reality world should be closely connected in purpose so as to make the teaching-learning more engaging, more fun and more efficient.
