The paper shows that the dynamically occurring changes in education dictate all new requirements for teachers, for the fulfillment of which it is necessary to integrate their efforts within the professional and pedagogical community. The aim of the study was to study the role of the professional pedagogical community in the activities of the teacher. With the help of content analysis of scientific articles, numerous and disparate categories describing the concept of a professional pedagogical community were considered, their synthesis was made in the form of a mental map, the analysis of which made it possible to clarify the influence of the ethos of the professional pedagogical community on the content of the activity of an individual teacher. Based on a review of the functions carried out by the teacher, given in the normative documents regulating the activities of the educational sphere, the substantiation of the requirements for the teachers competencies is given. The comparison of professional tasks solved by teachers (methodological, informational and communicative-regulatory directions) made it possible to find their consistency with the tasks of the professional pedagogical community (self-development and community management, development of the teaching profession in general), which makes it a promising tool for solving modern pedagogical problems. The developed mental map, which clearly demonstrates the relationship between the characteristics used to describe the professional pedagogical community, can be used by researchers to further study the phenomenon of the professional pedagogical community.

Melakukan pelatihan fermentasi limbah agroindustri menjadi pakan berkualitas, 4). Pendampingan pembuatan pakan suplemen Urea molasses bloks kaya makromineral. Kata kunci: pakan jilat UMB plus; pakan TMR; sapta usaha peternakan ABSTRACTThe Community Service Program aims to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in various aspects of production and management of intensive livestock farming, which refers to livestock business so that milk production and quality as well as farmers' incomes increase. Some of the problems faced by partners are 1). The difficulty of procuring feed ingredients, especially quality forage and lack of quantity, 2). Concentrated feed formulations do not meet nutritional standards resulting in suboptimal milk production, 3). The ratio of the use of forage and concentrate in the TMR feed does not meet the nutritional needs, it is necessary to add a macromineral-rich UMB supplementary feed, 4). Maintenance management has not been intensive. Then the service team offers solutions to carry out activities, 1). Preparation of quality feed with TMR feed formulations to increase production, milk quality and income 2). Intensive maintenance management development through counseling and assistance for livestock business refers to the Sapta livestock business 3). Conduct training on fermentation of agro-industrial waste into quality feed, 4). Assistance in the manufacture of macromineral rich Urea molasses block feed supplements. The results achieved, the service team has carried out several activities using the method of counseling the understanding of animal husbandry, demonstration of the practice of fermenting feed to become quality and palatable, making UMB lick feed as supplementary feed, as well as business assistance using TMR feed with a concentrate ratio of 40% and forage 60% in BK. It was concluded that all the activities that had been carried out were responded to by the farmers well and consultations were still open for the development of dairy farms. Keywords: UMB plus lick feed, TMR feed, livestock business

Municipal solid waste (MSW) in the Accra region of Ghana has created the need for innovative ways to deal with waste management crises facing the city. The goal of this study is to use the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to select an appropriate waste-to-energy (WtE) technology for Accra. The AHP methodology is used to assess four WtE technologies, namely landfill biogas, incineration, anaerobic digestion, and aerobic composting. Three main criteria and nine sub-criteria are identified for pair-wise comparison and assessed by 10 experts. The results show that incineration is the most preferred technology, followed by anaerobic digestion and aerobic digestion, with landfilled gas being the least preferred technology. Stakeholders in waste management development in Ghana can utilize the findings of the study to develop implementation strategies for capacity and institutional capabilities for both thermochemical and biochemical processes in the country.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the challenges and resolution tactics of women middle managers in the South African public service. Design/methodology/approach A qualitative research approach using semi-structured interviews was used as a data collection technique. Narrative analysis was used with a sample of 20 women middle managers working within the South African public service. Findings Narratives of challenges faced by women middle managers in the South African public service included relational issues, with a subtle undermining of women managers, challenges rooted within the socio-cultural milieu – perversely undermining the experience of being a manager and challenges stemming from public service in general such as corruption, in turn, questioning the ability of women managers to handle such. In addressing these challenges, the women middle managers exercised three individual performative actions in response to the identified challenges. These include using direct confrontation, relying on networks for guidance and relying on indirect confrontation. Research limitations/implications Sample size challenges feature as a notable limitation including the research being conducted in only one political province of South Africa. Caution should be exercised when seeking to generalise the findings to other contexts. Practical implications Understanding the challenges and resolution tactics of women middle managers can be a useful precursor to management development interventions. Originality/value The study answers call for more processual career and management development studies that help understand not only challenges but also resolution strategies. This study illustrates both the difficulty of this and ensures opportunity for the advancement of women in management.
