The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of an online live group program with Greek traditional dances on the self-esteem and anxiety of the participants. The research involved 147 people, 43 men and 104 women, aged 49,73±8,141 years old, members of Cultural Clubs. The participants were randomly divided into the experimental group (N=75) and the control group (N=72). The experimental group participated in online live group lessons of Greek traditional dances, through the online platform ZOOM, twice a week. Each lesson had a 45-minute duration and the program lasted 12 weeks, during the quarantine imposed due to COVID-19. During the same period of 12 weeks, the control group continued its daily life in quarantine. The participants in both groups completed the Heatherton and Polivy (1991) State Self-Esteem Scale to measure performance self-esteem, social self-esteem and appearance self-esteem, as well as the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-FORM X-1 by Spielberger et al. (1970) for the measurement of state anxiety, before and after the 12-week period. The processing of the data showed that after participating in the online live group program of Greek traditional dances, the participants in the experimental group significantly increased their performance self-esteem (t=-7,75, p<0,001), social self-esteem (t=-5,23, p<0,001), and appearance self-esteem (t=-5,67, p<0,001), but they significantly reduced their state anxiety (t=7,33, p<0,001). Regarding the participants in the control group, after the 12-week period, the studied variables moved in the undesirable direction, as evidenced by the reduction in self-esteem factors and the increase in state anxiety. The results show that participating in Greek traditional dance group programs, which are conducted live online, affects positively the self-esteem and state anxiety of the participants. Consequently, during these difficult health times that the whole world is experiencing, participating in online live group programs of Greek traditional dance may improve the participants’ psychological state, offering at the same time the solution on the one hand to distance oneself from other people and on the other hand to come in contact with people.

Abstract Intangible cultural heritage of music (ICHM) is an important part of intangible cultural heritage (ICH), and research on ICHM has extremely important theoretical value and practical significance. In this study, we aimed to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of ICHMs and explore the main factors affecting their distribution in Xiangxi, Central China. Methods such as the nearest neighbor index, kernel density estimation, and buffer analysis were used in this study. The main conclusions are as follows: 1) the numbers of traditional music, traditional dance, traditional drama and quyi are 33, 34, 30 and 14, respectively, indicating that quyi is relatively lacking in Xiangxi; 2) the distribution of ICHMs in Xiangxi have spatial heterogeneity, and the main trend is agglomeration. The national ICHMs, provincial ICHMs and municipal ICHMs are mainly concentrated in the south, the west, and the central and northern regions, respectively. The high-density areas of traditional music and traditional dance are located in the south, of traditional drama in the west, and of quyi in the north. 3) The distribution of ICHMs is affected by four factors: namely rivers, topography, GDP and transportation. The 0-3 km buffer zone of the rivers, with 100% of national ICHMs, 83.33% of provincial ICHMs and 84.52% of municipal ICHMs, is the centralized distribution area of ICHMs. 100% of the national ICHMs, 94.44% of the provincial ICHMs and 91.67% of the municipal ICHMs are distributed in hilly (200-500 m) and low mountain areas (500-1000 m). Highways have the greatest impact on the distribution of ICHMs, followed by railways and ordinary roads. The economy has a significant positive impact on ICHM programs; the more developed the economy, the more ICHM projects. The results of this study can provide useful references for the theoretical research and practice management of ICH.

This research explores the origins of the Ambe-ambeken Dance from Singkil Regency, the form of the Ambe-ambeken Dance, and analyzes the ethnomathematics. As a cultural entity, the Singkil people have a dance known as the Ambe-ambeken or Sakhindayong dance. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to describe the Ambe-ambeken dance based on historical, anthropological and mathematical approaches. Although the variety of movements looks simple at first glance, this dance is a form of technology of enchantment that is full of wisdom and has an essential role in shaping the community's personality and the spread of Islam in Singkil through the poems that are sung during the dance. Then from a different perspective, it was found that there is a mathematical element that many people do not realize in a traditional dance, namely a geometric transformation. This fact leads to a new assumption that culture in the past was built on spirituality and aesthetic values and by applying mathematical principles in various aspects of life.

The article puts froward the reconstructs of the ritual basis of the Ossetian traditional dance Chepena / Kepena, its semantics, origin and areal connections are also described. Within the framework of the functional approach, it appears possible not only to identify the mythological, i. e. eschatological, plot underlying it, but also to correlate the leader of this dance with such a character of Ossetian religious and mythological system as Tutyr / Totur.

Indonesia is known to have countless varieties of cultures because Indonesia consists of many tribes and languages. Bahasa Indonesia as the national language faces the new threat from the code mixing slang such as kids jaman now, mantap soul, unfaedah, and curigation which is so popular among the teenagers. This research aims to know the perspective of culture among the teenagers by using a semantic prototype which has a focus to know the grade of goodness. This semantic prototype in this research uses two methods in collecting the data, first is using free listing and the second is judging the examples of categorizations to evaluate which of the categories included as culture was positioned among others prototypically. The respondents of this research are 47 respondents for the first method and 52 respondents for the second method and their age range from 18-20 years old. The other questions are also asked to the respondents related to their knowledge about culture. The result of this research is that culture is seen to be something performable on stage such as traditional dance and costume, rites, and music and ironically language in this case is only in 6th position in the first method and 4th position in the second method. Although the position of language changes the acknowledgment of language as an integral part of culture is still low in number.
