The article identifies and analyzes the most important area of the organization “Strength through Joy” and its contribution to the support of the Hitler regime by industrial workers in Germany. Created by the Nazis under the auspices of the German Labor Front, which replaced the traditional trade unions, this organization made one of the main emphasis on the mass cultivation of tourism on favorable terms in the ranks of the working community. Having become one of the most important areas of social policy in the Third Reich, the tourism activities of the “Force through Joy” served as one of the effective means of legitimizing Nazi power in the eyes of that part of German society that initially took a hostile position towards them.

English for Vocational School is a key to bridging non-English major students’ needs including Informatics Engineering students of a private university in South Tangerang, Indonesia. Accordingly, it is important to conduct a needs-analysis study as a way to find the source of information to designing proper English materials. To actualize it, a set of questionnaire was distributed to 35 students of Informatics Engineering Study Program to investigate their necessities, lacks, and desire in learning English for vocational purpose. The data were analysed quantitatively to figure out majority choices to each item questioned. Semi-structured interview to both the lecturers and the students were also conducted to explore reasons for each finding. The result showed that the students were expected to be proficient at using English for daily communication which will be useful for their future working-community because most of the students thought that they were not fluent yet and found difficulties especially in grammar mastery. Accordingly, they expected that instructional process be directed to learning English related to Informatics Engineering without ignoring daily communication topics. These overall findings are a milestone to designing a set of English learning materials for the third semester students of Informatics Engineering Students of the university.

Abtract: The global food regime has failed and led to a food crisis. However, food regime can transform from time to time in order to dominatethe food system globally. The current food regime is also known as the corporate food regime. In this period, capital accumulation reorganization is no longer centered in the state, but in multinational corporations. Therefore, there needs to be a framework to address the transformation in order to provide an effective alternative food system, especially for the Global South. This study elaborates on how land sovereignty initiated by La Via Campesina can be a counter-hegemony against the corporate food regime to get out of the crisis of capital accumulation through massive land investments, especially in the Global South. Moreover, this paper refers to Friedmann and McMichael’s (1989) concept about the food regime and examines such conditions by using Gramsci’s (1971) ideas on hegemony. In conclusion, the land sovereignty concept can be considered to be an effective alternative framework to deal with the hegemony of neoliberal globalism for five reasons, namely: 1) the possibility of using various property rights systems; 2) the possibility to be implemented through land reform redistribution policy with several adjustments;  3) the probability to be a common platform because the concept recognizes land not only as a resource but also as culture and as a landscape; 4) the probability to be connected with other campaigns; and 5) the probability to be connected with political work of the broader working community globally.

Recent data has shown increasing rates of musculoskeletal disorders among the working community. These health-related complications are considered to be amongst the leading causes of disability, and limitation of motion within modern office workers. Many of these disorders are commonly caused by improperly accommodated workplaces. The importance of this study surfaces around the challenges that will be faced during the implementation of Saudi vision's 2030; if this topic is not addressed adequately. The study aims to detect and prevent office related injuries by investigating their associations with improper workstation ergonomics. This was conducted within the framework of studying the current situation of office ergonomics with focus on sitting postures. Correlations between workers' musculoskeletal pains, and their habits were evaluated. For collecting the necessary data, a thirty-item questionnaire was distributed to more than one thousand randomly selected workers within Saudi Arabia. This questionnaire was developed to better study the personal demographics, medical information, muscular pain, physical therapy history, workstation ergonomics, and sitting practices. After filtering and analyzing the collected data, the results of the survey indicated that 78% of the total participants had experienced some sort of musculoskeletal pains, from which 84% of them stated that their sitting postures are awkward, during their working hours. Also, from the total number of musculoskeletal pain sufferers, approximately 32% visited a physical therapy clinic seeking relief for their pains. However, only 39% of them benefitted from the physical therapy interventions, whereas 61% did not. From the individuals whom did not respond to physical therapy, 80% of them identified that they were equipped with ergonomically inconvenient workstations or they were not aware of the correct way to occupy their workstations. To a greater extent, 74% of the total number of participants were supplied with ergonomically inconvenient workstations, which suggests that the employment of anthropometry and workstation ergonomics is not up to standards in Saudi Arabia, causing an extensive impact in escalating muscular pain. In conclusion, raising the awareness of the population regarding the importance of workplace ergonomics is critical; after highlighting the risks of awkward sitting postures. It is worth mentioning that the appropriate employment of office ergonomics requires the cooperation of both; employees and employers. Only by this alliance, ergonomics will contribute in increasing productivity, and decreasing time loss leading to the maintenance of healthy individuals.
