AbstractOrthorexia Nervosa (ON), a condition characterized by a fixation on healthy eating, still does not conform to any consensus concerning diagnostic criteria, notably in regard to a possible body image component. This study investigated the relationship between ON symptomatology, measured with the Eating Habit Questionnaire, and body image attitudes and body image distortion in a non-clinical sample. Explicit body image attitudes and distortion were measured using the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire. Implicit body image attitudes and distortion were assessed using the reverse correlation technique. Correlational analyses showed that ON is associated with both explicit and implicit attitudes and distortion toward body image. More precisely, multivariate analyses combining various body image components showed that ON is mostly associated with explicit overweight preoccupation, explicit investment in physical health and leading a healthy lifestyle, and implicit muscularity distortion. These findings suggest that ON symptomatology is positively associated with body image attitudes and distortion in a non-clinical sample. However, further studies should be conducted to better understand how ON symptomatology relates to body image, especially among clinical samples.

This article analyzed the motivational dimensions of tourists in Hong Kong. The study identified eight motivational dimensions of food consumption of Chinese tourists and Western tourists. The study revealed both groups of tourists shared similar motives, such as service and assurance, food and knowledge, authentic and culture, interpersonal and price, and familiarity and eating habit. However, the Chinese and Western tourists have different emphasis on food consumption in terms of value, variety, prestige, and ambience. The differences can be associated to cultural factor. Findings are useful to decision makers and marketers in promoting Hong Kong as a leading food tourism destination.

Mobile technology is showing a wide acceptance in the health-care system. As technology is changing there are many health-care applications in the market. The need of these applications is increasing day by day because of unhealthy lifestyle. Among the various ailments, the most common lifestyle disease is diabetes. As we know diabetes can’t be cured, it can only be controlled by managing one’s lifestyle. In this paper, we propose a new application DiaM for managing and mentoring a diabetic patient. DiaM is Artificial Intelligence (AI) based mobile application which not only connect to manage one’s lifestyle but to build the strong will power. Our application has been designed in such a way that all the aspects are covered to manageone’s lifestyle. We have implemented an AI based system which smartly categorizes the patients in different states, which utilizes the different parameter like eating habit, stress, exercise, sleep time, smoking, genetic, BMI, and various other symptoms. On the basis of these states suggestions are been provided to the patient for improving the lifestyle. DiaM also enables patient to connect with the Doctor for monitoring and mentoring. Our application provides real-time alerts to doctor so that they can monitor patient anytime. It is extremely necessary to manage health conditions therefore our application provides a better, accurate and sustainable healthcare system.

The objective of this work was to evaluate the bioaccumulation of mercury in 13 species of fish with different eating habits, captured in the Três Marias Reservoir, São Francisco Basin, from March 2012 to April 2013. The results obtained showed that the species with carnivorous eating habit presented the highest average concentrations of mercury in muscle, especially Serrasalmus brandtii (pirambeba) and Pygocentrus piraya (piranha), with concentrations of 0.4147 ± 0.2744 μg g-1 and 0.17774 ± 0.2980 μg g-1, respectively. Considering the average concentrations, all the species studied showed levels of mercury below the maximum limit of 0.5 μg g-1 in non-predatory fish and 1.0 μg g-1 in predatory fish, established by the Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária. Taking each species into account, the minimum and maximum values of mercury in the muscular and hepatic tissues showed a wide dispersion. In 4% of the specimens of pirambeba and 7% of piranha, the contents of mercury in muscle exceeded the limit established by ANVISA for predatory fish, and therefore, were unfit for human consumption. The other species did not present muscle samples with Hg content above that established by law. Due to its carnivorous eating habit and its wide distribution in the São Francisco Basin, Serrasalmus brandtii can be considered a biomonitor, capable of bioaccumulating mercury, thus indicating the level of contamination in the aquatic environment in which it lives.

Poor eating habits during pregnancy will cause the body's need for nutrients both micro and macro is not met, so will result in malnutrition and anemia. Methods: It was observational study using a cross sectional design. Sampling was done by purposive sampling methods. This dietary data accumulation was done by using Food Frequency Questionnaire. In-depth interviews was used to explore positive eating habit in pregnant women that are not anemic. Hemoglobin was detected by using HemoCue analyzer. Statistical analysis of data was used the Chi Square test. Results: The results show that 88.2% of the pregnant women are not anemic, 64.5% of pregnant women often consume enhancers, and 57.9% of pregnant women rarely consume inhibitors. There was no correlation between consumption of enhancer with anemia (p = 0.478). There was no correlation between consumption of inhibitors with anemia (p = 1,000).  Positive eating habits of pregnant women who are not anemic is often consume foods high in vitamin C and animal protein. Conclusion: There was no correlation between consumption of enhancher and inhibitor with anemia incidence among pregnant women Recomendation: Improved health promotion of positive eating habit to prevent anemia in pregnant women
