Abstract The showering aeration system (SAS) was designed and its performance was evaluated by conducting the aeration experiments in a tank of dimension 2 × 4 × 1.5 m. Initially, the aeration experiments were conducted to optimize the radius of curvature of the SAS with different values, such as = 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 mm, and maintain other geometric parameters, i.e. number of holes in the shower (); height of water fall (H); diameter of the shower hole (d); volume of water under aeration (V) and water flow rate (Q) as constants. The optimum radius of curvature () was found to be 10 mm. The aeration experiments were further conducted with four different non-dimensional geometric parameters such as the number of holes , the ratio of the height of water fall to the length of shower arm the ratio of the diameter of the hole to the length of shower arm and the ratio of the volume of water to the cube of the length of shower arm The Response Surface Methodology and Box–Behnken Design were used to optimize the non-dimensional geometric parameters of the SAS to maximize the Non-Dimensional Standard Aeration Efficiency. The result indicates that the maximum NDSAE of 16.98 × 106 was obtained from the SAS performance at = 80; = 2; = 4 and = 48. HIGHLIGHT The optimized non-dimensional geometric parameters (H/l; d/l; V/l3; n) for the showering aeration system were experimentally validated, and the final NDSAE value was found to be 16.98 × 106 against the predicted NDSAE value of 17.70 × 106.

The study aimed to figure out the picture of a couple’s post-death stress and coping strategies used by working single mothers. The research approach uses qualitative descriptive with case study design. Characteristics of single mother participants, working and having children. Data were obtained through interviews of participants concerned accompanied by significant other interviews. The data analysis used in this study is a thematic data analysis technique. The results showed the symptoms of stress experienced by participants in increased blood pressure, frequent delays in work, irritability, dietary changes, and experiencing sleep disorders. Each participant’s stress was the shrinkage of economic, social, and psychological resources. Participants’ stress coping strategies include; planful problem solving, confrontative, seeking social support, distance, escape/avoidance, positive reappraisal, self-control, and accepting responsibility.

The article is devoted to improving the methods for building throttle diagrams of gas-hydrodynamic measuring transducers of physical and mechanical parameters of fluids. The authors reviewed modern throttle transducers of various parameters, built on different diagrams, with different numbers and types of throttle elements, with different output signals. We established that the goodness of the measuring transducer is determined both by the structural diagram and the design characteristics of the throttle elements of a specific measuring diagram. The article proposes using structural synthesis with parametric optimization to achieve the specified characteristics of the gas-hydrodynamic transducers. The aim is to develop an effective method for building throttle diagrams of gas-hydrodynamic measuring transducers of physical and mechanical parameters of fluids using structural optimization of diagrams and to evaluate each dia-gram using parametric optimization methods with the appropriate criterion that quantifies the goodness of the measur-ing transducer. To achieve this goal, the authors analyzed the criteria and resources of structural and parametric optimization of gas-hydrodynamic transducers. In particular, the following resources of structural synthesis of measuring transducers’ dia-grams are analyzed: diagram order and throttle arrangement, type of throttles, output signals, supply mode of the transducer. Approaches to parametric optimization of throttle diagrams are offered: based on the mathematical model, one defines the objective function, forms restrictions on variable and fixed values, substantiates optimization parameters, chooses the optimization method. As a result of the research, the authors developed a technique for structural and parametric optimization of gas-hydrodynamic measuring transducers, making it possible to synthesize throttle diagrams and build mathematical models of transducers of specific parameters of the fluid with optimal characteristics.
