Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding beet juice in fermented goat’s milk using Lactobacillus rhamnosus bacteria on the acidity, syneresis value. This study applied a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of five treatments Control (P0), 2% of beet juice (P1), 4% of beet juice (P2), 6% of beet juice (P3), and 8% of beet juice (P4) with four repetitions. The data obtained were analysed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). If a significant difference is found, then Duncan’s multiple range (DMRT) test is conducted. The results showed that the addition of beet juice with a different percentage in fermented goat milk had significant effect (P<0.05) on syneresis but had a very significantly effect (P<0.01) on the pH value. The addition of 2% of Beet juice resulted in the lowest syneresis value of 9.88%. The low value of syneresis in this study was caused by the addition of beet juice which has high acidity, carbohydrate and protein content. The higher the lactic acid, the lower the pH and the denser the texture formed because the protein’s ability to bind water increases so that the syneresis formed is lower.

Soap is a cleaning compound formed from the reaction between fatty acid compounds and alkaline bases. Various types of soap have been circulating in the market, one of which is liquid soap. Liquid soap that has antibacterial abilities is needed by many people. Moringa seed extract is one of the natural ingredients that can be used as an active ingredient in making liquid soap because it can inhibit bacterial growth. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the addition of extracts and to obtain the best extract concentration treatment on physical, chemical, and organoleptic. The addition of moringa seed extract used was administered at 3%, 5%, and 7%. Data analysis was carried out by applying the ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) with a significant level of 5%. The De Garmo method was used to formulate the best liquid soap recommendation among various treatments. The results showed that the addition of moringa seed extract had a significant effect on the parameters of free alkali content, viscosity, specific gravity, antibacterial activity, and organoleptic. The best recommendation for liquid soap is a soap with a concentration of 7% with specific gravity characteristics of 1.066 g/ml, the viscosity of 1.983 cP, pH value of 10.53, foaming power of 5.63 cm, foam stability of 94.64%, and free alkali content of 0.023%, and the antibacterial ability against S. aureus bacteria (clear zone) was 19.17 mm.

This paper focuses on the statistical evaluation of various operating characteristics of electric buses. The data obtained for statistical evaluation come from practice. In this paper, we focus on electricity consumption—an important aspect of electric bus operation. The ambient temperature significantly affects electricity consumption. In this paper, we use applied mathematics—correlation analysis, we accurately identify the effect of temperature on the consumption of the electric bus. Our next goal was to define the relationship between the loss of energy from the battery and driving power. We used regression analysis to describe this relation. Our article also includes an example of the practical use of ANOVA analysis in identifying a statistically significant effect of a particular vehicle on average consumption. We also show results from previous research and compare two different types of electric buses in operation.

During an operation, the turnout gear for firefighters must meet two important requirements: thermal protection and comfort. As comfort and protection are inherently incompatible, it is impossible to satisfy both. As part of this study, the outer layer of multilayered turnout suits was analyzed under the influence of various factors such as intensity of heat flux, pick density, and air space between the fabric and the sensor. Choosing Nomex IIIA was based on its inherent properties that are conductive to thermal protection. To simulate the environment encountered during firefighting, benchtop experiments were designed. A system equation for the prediction of the protection time (t-protection) was developed based on a three-factor and three-level Box–Behnken model. The predicted values of t-protection obtained for all the experimental blocks in the design space were subjected to ANOVA analysis which showed that the system equation, as well as the coefficients of linear interactive and square terms, is significant, so the system equation can be efficiently used for predicting t-protection. The validity of the system equation was verified by using the same experimental blocks and estimating t-protection using the Stoll criteria. The accuracy of the system equation was checked by comparing t-protection and t*-protection which revealed a linear relationship with a high correlation coefficient (R2 = 0.975). To analyze the effects of the independent variables on protection time, 3D surface response curves were created. The nature of the surfaces was critically analyzed by developing regression equations for the contours and the diagonals.
