Systematic assessments on the effects of skidding systems on features of forest blueberry pine soil were conducted as part of this study. Assessing the ecological efficiency of forest skidding machines showed that the most significant impact (by 2.0–2.2 times) on soil compaction was observed at loading sites rather than during transportation. Lightweight loam density and sand density increased by 25% and 2%, respectively, after more than two passages of the skidding system. Pressure in 33L-32 tires of forestry machinery in operation on a solid surface varied from 46.5 kPa to 196 kPa at maximum load. Studying the impact of tires on soil compaction showed that the environmental efficiency of forestry equipment can be enhanced if the optimal tire pressure at average loads does not exceed 70 kPa for tracked vehicles and 150 kPa for wheeled vehicles in summer seasons. When ground grips were fully immersed, the pressure of forwarders on soil was reduced. These study results can be used to establish organizational and technological measures in order to manage the negative impact of skidding systems and to increase the environmental effects of their performance.

Abstract The coupling coordination of the logistics industry and manufacturing industry conducive to the sustainable development of logistics and manufacturing and the stability of sustainable supply chain. The logistics and manufacturing industries are not only the basic industries that support social development, but also the industries with high carbon emissions. Firstly, this paper classifies the carbon emissions from the logistics industry and manufacturing industry as undesirable outputs, evaluates the ecological efficiency of the logistics industry (LEE) and manufacturing industry (MEE) in the Yangtze River Delta from 2006 to 2019 by using the unexpected slacks-based measure (SBM) model. Secondly, the coupling coordination method is used to analyze the coupling coordination scheduling of industrial ecological efficiency. Thirdly, the paper analyzes the spatial differences of the coupling coordination ecological efficiency between logistics industry and manufacturing industry (MLCC) by using the exploratory spatial data analysis method. Finally, the spatial econometric model is used to analyze the driving factors of the MLCC. The results show: The ecological efficiency of the manufacturing industry has steadily improved. The ecological efficiency of the logistics industry presents the rising trend in fluctuation. The level of the coupling coordination development between the logistics and manufacturing industries is high. The results of the spatial heterogeneity analysis show that the spatial differentiation of high-high agglomeration and low-low agglomeration is obvious. The spatial agglomeration characteristics are relatively stable, and the spatial diffusion effect is strong; In space, the MLCC shows a trend of developing from multiple agglomeration areas to one agglomeration area. The results of driving factor analysis show that foreign direct investment(FDI), government intervention(GI) and human capital(HP) have positive effects on the MLCC, while industrial structure(IS), environmental regulation(ER) and energy intensity(EI) have negative effects on the MLCC.

Abstract In the article, the authors consider the features of the studied territory of traditional nature management in order to develop recommendations for optimizing the system of local environmental monitoring. The existing local regulations and requirements for the development and maintenance of local environmental monitoring systems are analyzed using the example of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. The ecological efficiency of the local ecological monitoring systems has been proved and recommendations have been developed for the unification of this system. The information obtained in the course of the study showed that monitoring in territories of traditional nature use is a necessary procedure for the purposes of effective management of these territories. Finding a balance between the economic activities of industrial companies and the traditional use of natural resources by the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North constantly arouses interest in the scientific community, since the territories of traditional nature use are quite vulnerable and require special measures for their use and protection.

One of the most difficult tasks that economies face is how to generate economic growth without causing environmental damage. Research in economic complexity has provided new methods to reveal structural constraints and opportunities for green economic diversification and sophistication, as well as the effects of economic complexity on environmental pollution indicators. However, no research so far has compared the ecological efficiency of countries with similar productive structures and levels of economic complexity, and used this information to identify the best learning partners. This matters, because there are substantial differences in the environmental damage caused by the same product in different countries, and green diversification needs to be complemented by substantial efficiency improvements of existing products. In this article, we use data on 774 different types of exports, CO2 emissions, and the ecological footprint of 99 countries to create first a relative ecological pollution ranking (REPR). Then, we use methods from network science to reveal a benchmark network of the best learning partners based on country pairs with a large extent of export similarity, yet significant differences in pollution values. This is important because it helps to reveal adequate benchmark countries for efficiency improvements and sustainable production, considering that countries may specialize in substantially different types of economic activities. Finally, the article i) illustrates large efficiency improvements within current global output levels, ii) helps to identify countries that can best learn from each other, and iii) improves the information base in international negotiations for the sake of a cleaner global production system.
