At present, the hotel resource retrieval algorithm has the problem of low retrieval efficiency, low accuracy, low security and high energy consumption, and this study proposes a large scale hotel resource retrieval algorithm based on characteristic threshold extraction. In the large-scale hotel resource data, the mass sequence is decomposed into periodic component, trend component, random error component and burst component. Different components are extracted, the singular point detection is realized by the extraction results, and the abnormal data in the hotel resource data are obtained. Based on the attribute of hotel resource data, the data similarity is processed with variable window, the total similarity of data is obtained, and the abnormal detection of redundant resource data is realized. The abnormal data detection results and redundant data detection results are substituted into the space-time filter, and the data processing is completed. The retrieval problem is identified, and the data processing results are replaced in the hotel resource retrieval based on the characteristic threshold extraction to achieve the normalization of data source and rule knowledge. The characteristic threshold and retrieval strategy are determined, and data fusion reasoning is carried out. After repeated iteration, effective solutions are obtained. The effective solution is fused to get the best retrieval result. Experimental results showed that the algorithm has higher retrieval accuracy, efficiency and security coefficient, and the average search energy consumption is 56n J/bit.

The global trends in higher education highlight the growing popularity of international education shift towards innovation and better productivity that demand updated and high-quality human resources. And on the supply side, it creates pressure on families to send their children to educational institutions not only within the country but also abroad. In the context of Nepal, the trend of opening higher education institutions and students going abroad for study accelerated after 1990. Students enrolled in the country and abroad are establishing networks to work through the exchange of ideas and products in the global market. In this paper, I present the primary findings from my research on the economic impact of globalization on education in Nepal by using the supply side human resource data of student enrollment in higher education in the country and Nepali students abroad, and its impact on trade, migration, foreign direct investment and remittance to the national economy of Nepal. For this study, 20 years of secondary data of above mentioned variables have been analyzed with the help of the econometric method of causal relations. Results show a positive impact of globalization on the economy of Nepal. The findings will be useful for making policy recommendations to developing countries like Nepal to enhance education by grasping the opportunities globalization offers.

The Lake Chad Basin is an important natural resource that cut across several countries among which are Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, Algeria, Central African Republic and Libya. In a bid to ensure the effective utilization of the water of the basin, the countries have engaged in cooperation through the creation of Lake Chad Basin Commission. The Commission has embarked on certain programmes to achieve its aim, hence the need for the assessment of the cooperation between countries around the basin. This work is an assessment albeit critical, of the cooperation within that commission. Part of the findings of the paper is that the Lake Chad Basin Commission has been unable to achieve objectives it sets for itself. Certain challenges which include but not limited to, lack of political will among members of the Commission, reoccurrence of violence, lack of adequate finance, poor organizational structure, cultural and language difference have worked either individually or in tandem to frustrate the realization of what appeared ab initio to be the noble and lofty goals of the commission. The contention of the paper therefore, is that the Lake Chad Basin Commission member states should reflect and modernize its initial objectives and operationalize the ingredients of its cooperation to derive the positivity laden in the agreements or else risk the extinction of an important water resource. Data for the paper were sourced using both primary and secondary. Other variables and methodological approaches like analysis, discourse, and accountability and of course, chronological delineations were generously employed in reconstruction. Study of this nature is multidisciplinary and knitted in the International studies, Security studies, and Diplomatic and Military history.

The commercial forest sector in the US includes forest landowners and forest products manufacturers, as well as numerous service providers along the supply chain. Landowners (and contractors working for them) manage forestland in part for roundwood production, and manufacturers purchase roundwood as raw material for forest products including building products, paper products, wood pellets, and others. Both types of organizations need forest resource data for applications such as strategic planning, support for certification of sustainable forestry, analysis of timber supply, and assessment of forest carbon, biodiversity, or other ecosystem services. The geographic areas of interest vary widely but typically focus upon ownership blocks or manufacturing facilities and are frequently small enough that estimates from national forest inventory data have insufficient precision. Small area estimation (SAE) has proven potential to combine field data from the national forest inventory with abundant sources of remotely sensed or other resource data to provide needed information with improved precision. Successful implementation of SAE by this sector will require cooperation and collaboration among federal and state government agencies and academic institutions and will require increased funding to improve data collection, data accessibility, and further develop and implement the needed technologies.

The Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) is a probability index that gives a belier representation of abnormal wetness and dryness than any other drought indices. The primary objective of the current study is to develop a comprehensive tool to compute SPI on a spatial basis and analyze spa!iotemporal variability of drought in North West Indian region during 1951-2007 using APHRODITE waler resource data at 0.25-degree resolution. This tool was developed using the python programming language, and the site-packages such as Numpy, Scipy, Ma!plo!lib, Ne!CDF, PyQt were used. The result showed Iha! the SPI time series showed significant inter-annual and multi-decadal variations. In the whole data period, three consecutive droughts have occurred only once, 1999-2002. This prolonged drought hurt the agricultural and water resources sectors over the study area. The computed SPI for the year2002 showed an extreme dry spell over the study area signifying the major drought over India in the same year with a 56% deficit of rainfall in July. The computed 12-month SPI for the year 1996 shows a wet period over the northwestern part of India, especially over Haryana signifying medium to heavy rainfall, conforming 1996 flood. The developed SPI tool, portray a realistic picture of drought scenario over the Northwest region and improve the timely identification of emerging drought conditions that can trigger appropriate responses by the decision makers.

Plant associated microbiomes are known to confer fitness advantages to the host. Understanding how plant factors including biochemical traits influence host associated microbiome assembly could facilitate the development of microbiome-mediated solutions for sustainable plant production. Here, we examined microbial community structures of a set of well-characterized Arabidopsis thaliana mutants disrupted in metabolic pathways for the production of glucosinolates, flavonoids, or a number of defense signalling molecules. A. thaliana lines were grown in a natural soil and maintained under greenhouse conditions for 4 weeks before collection of roots for bacterial and fungal community profiling. We found distinct relative abundances and diversities of bacterial and fungal communities assembled in the individual A. thaliana mutants compared to their parental lines. Bacterial and fungal genera were mostly enriched than depleted in secondary metabolite and defense signaling mutants, except for flavonoid mutations on fungi communities. Bacterial genera Azospirillum and Flavobacterium were significantly enriched in most of the glucosinolate, flavonoid and signalling mutants while the fungal taxa Sporobolomyces and Emericellopsis were enriched in several glucosinolates and signalling mutants. Whilst the present study revealed marked differences in microbiomes of Arabidopsis mutants and their parental lines, it is suggestive that unknown enzymatic and pleiotropic activities of the mutated genes could contribute to the identified host-associated microbiomes. Notwithstanding, this study revealed interesting gene-microbiota links, and thus represents valuable resource data for selecting candidate A. thaliana mutants for analyzing the links between host genetics and the associated microbiome.
