Abstract Water quality safety is closely related to people’s production and life, and it is necessary for human survival. In recent years, water pollution incidents occur frequently, which not only reminds us of environmental protection, but also exposes the lack of rapid detection ability of water quality analysis in China. At present, there are obvious shortcomings in the mainstream rapid detection methods of water quality analysis. Therefore, this paper puts forward the research and innovation of the rapid detection methods for water quality analysis. In this paper, the main methods of water quality analysis and detection in China are studied in depth, and the advantages and disadvantages of various methods are compared and analyzed. The results show that most of the current mainstream detection methods have the contradiction between detection cost and detection accuracy. In view of this situation, according to the actual needs of rapid detection of water quality analysis, combined with vacuum detection tube electronic colorimetry, this paper innovatively proposed a rapid detection method of water quality analysis based on vacuum detection tube electronic colorimetry. In this paper, the principle of this method is introduced in detail. Through the relevant comparative test experiments, it can be seen that in the detection experiment of pH value and nitrite concentration, the vacuum detection tube electron colorimetry method in this paper has obvious advantages over the traditional spectrophotometer. This paper analyzes that the innovation research of water quality analysis and detection is the innovation of the whole process and the whole system. Therefore, this paper puts forward the ideas and specific optimization and improvement measures for the management work, industry standards and work concept of water quality detection.

Water is the source of life and an indispensable element of nature for human survival. Over the centuries, the available water resources have undergone constant crisis processes, especially when it comes to water pollution that affects its effectiveness for consumption. The monitoring of the water quality offers qualitative information about the water based on the parameters adopted in the CONAMA Resolution nº. 357/2005 and the calculation IQA NSF of the National Sanitation Foundation (APHA, 2005). The study about the water quality index aims to obtain information about the quality of the hydric resource available in Ribeirão São João in Porto Nacional - Tocantins, which has multiple uses such as: public supply, fishing, leisure, among others. The analysis undertaken to verify the quality of the water adopted procedures for analyzing the parameters of temperature, oxygen, pH, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, fecal coliforms, total solids and turbidity that occurred between the months of August and September 2021. The collection and analysis of water samples showed that the Ribeirão presents acceptable levels within the parameters established by the literature studied and infer that the water quality is considered average for the purposes of capitation and human consumption.

Abstract The present work deals with the experimental investigation of Hemispherical Solar Still (HSS) using different basin materials with and without Internal Reflector (IR). Three solar stills such us HSS with Steel Basin (HSS-SB), HSS with Zinc Basin (HSS-ZB), HSS with Copper Basin (HSS-CB) was fabricated. Experiments was conducted with and without IR. It was found that, the productivity of the HSS-CB (4.99 kg/m2/day) was better than HSS-ZB (4.26 kg/m2/day) and both of them were better than HSS-SB (3.64 kg/m2/day). Also, It was found that the productivity of the HSS-CB&IR (5.67 kg/m2/day) was better than HSS-ZB&IR (5.04 kg/m2/day), and both of them were better than the HSS-SB&IR (4.28 kg/m2/day). The results revealed that use of IR improves the yield of HSS from 12 to 15.6%. Also thermal and exergy efficiency of the HSS was improved by 14.4 to 20% and 21.1 to 25.4% using IR than the without IR. Furthermore, recovery period and water quality analysis has been carried out. The recovery period of HSS-SB, HSS-ZB, HSS-CB, HSS-SB&IR, HSS-ZB&IR and HSS-CB&IR are 43, 38, 33, 36, 32 and 29 days, respectively.

Aims: The history of Noyyal river in Coimbatore is known for water quality and taste since the colonial period. The river water is used mainly for drinking, irrigation and industrial purposes to districts of Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Karur with many anaicuts and tanks. In the recent past due to urbanization and industrialization the river water has been polluted in the greater extend. Place and Duration of Study: The study was conducted to investigate the water quality status of five important upper reach semi-urban tanks of Noyyal river basin in the year 2020 -2021. Methodology: We have collected the sample season wise in the five tanks and analyzed for pH, EC, TDS, TSS, total hardness, alkalinity, chlorides and sulphates as well as heavy metals such as zinc, copper, cadmium and lead. Results: The results of our water quality analysis showed that most of the parameters are above the maximum permissible limits of CPCB standards for drinking water in India. The heavy metals concentrations were many folds higher than the CPCB permissible limits. The correlation analysis, Anova and PCA showed that the EC and TDS, alkalinity and sulphates, chlorides and sulphates and alkalinity and chlorides had higher correlation in the water quality analysis and they are interrelated to one another. In the monsoon season the pollution status is less and during summer season the pollution load is higher in the all tanks. During the monsoon season because of intensive water flow dilute the pollution load as well high rate of degradation due to high dissolved oxygen content of river water. Since, he Noyyal river is seasonal river, during summer, there would be very less or no flow of water into the tank increase the pollution load. The Narasampathy tank had comparatively less pollution than other tanks, since, it is the first tank in the upper reach of the Noyyal basin and has less inhabitants and industry. Conclusion: We concluded that the tanks are polluted due to urbanization and industrialization in and around the Noyyal basin and there is an urgent need to tackle this problem by making eco-friendly and economically viable treatment system to sustain the water quality.
