Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) altered the way of caregiving and the new pandemic forced the health systems to adopt new treatment protocols in which remote follow-up is essential. This paper introduces a proposed system to link a remote healthcare unit as it is inside the hospital. Two different network protocols; a global system for mobile communication (GSM) and Wi-Fi were used to simulate the heath data transfer from the two different geographical locations, using Raspberry Pi development board and Microcontroller units. Message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT) protocol was employed to transfer the measured data from the healthcare unit to the hospital’s Gateway. The gateway is used to route the aggregated health data from healthcare units to the hospital server, doctors’ dashboards, and the further processing. The system was successfully implemented and tested, where the experimental tests show that the remote healthcare units using a GSM network consumed about 900 mWh. A high percentage of success data packets transfer was recorded within the network framework as it reaches 99.89% with an average round trip time (RTT) of 7.5 milliseconds and a data transfer rate up to 12.3 kbps.

“Interaction” represents a critical term in the augmented and mixed reality ecosystem. Today, in mixed reality environments and applications, interaction occupies the joint space between any combination of humans, physical environment, and computers. Although interaction methods and techniques have been extensively examined in recent decades in the field of human-computer interaction, they still should be reidentified in the context of immersive realities. The latest technological advancements in sensors, processing power and technologies, including the internet of things and the 5G GSM network, led to innovative and advanced input methods and enforced computer environmental perception. For example, ubiquitous sensors under a high-speed GSM network may enhance mobile users’ interactions with physical or virtual objects. As technological advancements emerge, researchers create umbrella terms to define their work, such as multimodal, tangible, and collaborative interactions. However, although they serve their purpose, various naming trends overlap in terminology, diverge in definitions, and lack modality and conceptual framework classifications. This paper presents a modality-based interaction-oriented diagram for researchers to position their work and defines taxonomy ground rules to expand and adjust this diagram when novel interaction approaches emerge.

Text summarization remains a challenging task in the natural language processing field despite the plethora of applications in enterprises and daily life. One of the common use cases is the summarization of web pages which has the potential to provide an overview of web pages to devices with limited features. In fact, despite the increasing penetration rate of mobile devices in rural areas, the bulk of those devices offer limited features in addition to the fact that these areas are covered with limited connectivity such as the GSM network. Summarizing web pages into SMS becomes, therefore, an important task to provide information to limited devices. This work introduces WATS-SMS, a T5-based French Wikipedia Abstractive Text Summarizer for SMS. It is built through a transfer learning approach. The T5 English pre-trained model is used to generate a French text summarization model by retraining the model on 25,000 Wikipedia pages then compared with different approaches in the literature. The objective is twofold: (1) to check the assumption made in the literature that abstractive models provide better results compared to extractive ones; and (2) to evaluate the performance of our model compared to other existing abstractive models. A score based on ROUGE metrics gave us a value of 52% for articles with length up to 500 characters against 34.2% for transformer-ED and 12.7% for seq-2seq-attention; and a value of 77% for articles with larger size against 37% for transformers-DMCA. Moreover, an architecture including a software SMS-gateway has been developed to allow owners of mobile devices with limited features to send requests and to receive summaries through the GSM network.

Selain itu perbedaan spesifikasi perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak juga turut mempengaruhi nilai parameter QoS.Kata kunci: GSM VoIP Gateway, IP PBX, VoIP ABSTRACTGSM VoIP Gateway is used to connect the VoIP network to the GSM network, allowing VoIP clients to communicate with other VoIP clients via the GSM network therefore the communication costs can be reduced. In this research, an IP PBX system connected to a GSM network using a GSM VoIP Gateway has been designed and realized. Performance evaluation of the GSM VoIP Gateway on the IP PBX system is carried out by observing the value of the Quality of Service (QoS) parameter. Communication between the VoIP client and GSM VoIP Gateway is categorized as a good quality VoIP service because it has an average value of jitter ≤ 5.7 ms, packet loss ≤ 0.18% and delay ≤ 9.41 ms. Communication between the SIPdroid softphone and the GSM VoIP Gateway has an average jitter value of 22.58 ms, a packet loss of 48.68%, and a delay of 14.54 ms, due to VoIP communication uses a WiFi connection. In addition, differences on hardware and software specifications also affect the value of QoS parameters. Keywords: GSM VoIP Gateway, IP PBX, VoIP

In India, transport becomes a basic commodity of daily life. As transportation starts increasing, safety has become a major concern for consumers. This paper mainly aims at reducing the fatalities caused due to accidents occurring in roadways. In general, many lives could be saved if emergency service could get accurate accident location and rescue the injured people at the minimum possible time. The Internet of Things has revlontinsed the modern world in recent times. As Global Positioning System has become an integral part of any vehicle system, this effective method is utilized to monitor the location of vehicles and send accident locations to an Accidents Monitoring and Rescue Services Centre (AMRSC) using GSM. The Accelerometer located in the vehicle system gives the live status of the vehicle position while the vehicle is in motion. Whenever an accident occurs, the signal from the accelerometer is fed to the controller. The Node MCU controller is programmed to check whether the accident has occurred and given the information to the user and AMRSC as soon as possible. Now, the system will also send the accident location acquired from the GPS along with the vehicle details through the GSM network to AMRSC. After receiving the alert message from the infected user vehicle system, the rescue team will reach the accident location as soon as possible by reading the data from the server.
