The release load of holdback bar will affect the safety of catapult-assisted takeoff of carrier-based aircraft, and the accurate control of releasing the load will ensure success. The magnitude and the control accuracy of release load are important parameters which impact the takeoff performance, therefore unstable release load and insufficient release precision are the main factors affecting the takeoff safety. In this paper, mechanical models of the carrier-based aircraft in the catapult-assisted takeoff tensioning state and gliding state after release are established based on multi-body dynamics, contact mechanics and tribological theory, and the influence of the release load of the holdback bar on the catapult-assisted takeoff performance is analyzed. Furthermore, a kinetic model of the holdback bar device is established, and the kinetic characteristics of the release process of the holdback bar are studied. Based on the kinetic model and friction model of the holdback bar, the influencing factors of the sensitivity of the holdback bar release load are analyzed and the structural parameters are optimized. The results show that the released load decreases slowly with the increase of the contact surface angle of the holdback bar structure and increases rapidly when that angle reaches the critical value; besides, the release load increases slowly with the increase of the friction coefficient of the contact surface and increases faster when the critical friction coefficient is reached.

Integrated energy system (IES) is an important direction for the future development of the energy industry, and the stable operation of the IES can ensure heat and power supply. This study established an integrated system composed of an IES and advanced adiabatic compressed air energy storage (AA-CAES) to guarantee the robust operation of the IES under failure conditions. Firstly, a robust operation method using the AA-CAES is formulated to ensure the stable operation of the IES. The method splits the energy release process of the AA-CAES into two parts: a heat-ensuring part and a power-ensuring part. The heat-ensuring part uses the high-temp tank to maintain the balance of the heat subnet of the IES, and the power-ensuring part uses the air turbine of the first stage to maintain the balance of the power subnet. Moreover, another operation method using a spare gas boiler is formulated to compare the income of the IES with two different methods under failure conditions. The results showed that the AA-CAES could guarantee the balance of heat subnet and power subnet under steady conditions, and the dynamic operation income of the IES with the AA-CAES method was a bit higher than the income of the IES with the spare gas boiler method.

AbstractThe outstanding optoelectrical properties and high-quality factor of whispering gallery mode perovskite nanocavities make it attractive for applications in small lasers. However, efforts to make lasers with better performance have been hampered by the lack of efficient methods for the synthesis and transfer of perovskite nanocavities on desired substrate at quality required for applications. Here, we report transfer printing of perovskite nanocavities grown by chemical vapor deposition from mica substrate onto SiO2 substrate. Transferred perovskite nanocavity has an RMS roughness of ~ 1.2 nm and no thermal degradation in thermal release process. We further use femtosecond laser to excite a transferred perovskite nanocavity and measures its quality factor as high as 2580 and a lasing threshold of 27.89 μJ/cm2 which is almost unchanged as compared with pristine perovskite nanocavities. This method represents a significant step toward the realization of perovskite nanolasers with smaller sizes and better heat management as well as application in optoelectronic devices.

New hydrogels films crosslinked with epichlorohydrin were prepared based on alginates and carboxymethyl cellulose with properties that recommend them as potential drug delivery systems (e.g., biocompatibility, low toxicity, non-immunogenicity, hemostatic activity and the ability to absorb large amounts of water). The characterization of their structural, morphological, swelling capacity, loading/release and drug efficiency traits proved that these new hydrogels are promising materials for controlled drug delivery systems. Further, a new theoretical model, in the framework of Scale Relativity Theory, was built with to offer insights on the release process at the microscopic level and to simplify the analysis of the release process.

This review aimed to determine the potential of the combination of chitosan and alginate as a targeted drug carrier in cancer therapy. This article is based on the results of previous research journals collected from Google Scholar, Scopus, PubMed and Science Direct sites using the keywords chitosan, alginate, targeted drug delivery for cancer, nanoparticle chitosan alginate. With the inclusion criteria, only English-language journals, journals published in the last 10 y, related to chitosan and alginate-based formulations. Meanwhile, the exclusion criteria were journals on pharmacological properties and bioactivity, food and cosmetics. The combination of cationic chitosan and anionic alginate forming strong cross-links showed good mucoadhesive properties, higher resistance to low pH and high-efficiency encapsulation without showing any obvious cytotoxicity. Ch/Alg can overcome the shortcomings of the active substance, such as its rapid release process and the required active ingredient is lower than that required to enter the cancer target cells so as to minimize side effects of the drug by providing drug-induced release. in response to various stimuli that are well suited to the intended purpose, such as pH stimuli, redox gradients, light, temperature, and magnetism. It is shown that the combination of chitosan and alginate base has great potential in targeting cancer therapy by increasing its therapeutic effectiveness and selectivity.

The development of malaria vaccines and medicines depends on the discovery of novel malaria protein targets, but the functions of more than 40% of P. falciparum genes remain unknown. Asexual parasites are the critical stage that leads to serious clinical symptoms and that can be modulated by malaria treatments and vaccines. To identify critical genes involved in the development of Plasmodium parasites within erythrocytes, the expression profile of more than 5,000 genes distributed across the 14 chromosomes of the PF3D7 strain during its six critical developmental stages (merozoite, early-ring, late-ring, early trophozoite, late-trophozoite, and middle-schizont) was evaluated. Hence, a qRT-PCR-based transcriptome of the erythrocytic developmental process of P. falciparum was revealed. Weighted gene coexpression network analyses revealed that a large number of genes are upregulated during the merozoite release process. Further gene ontology analysis revealed that a cluster of genes is associated with merozoite and may be apical complex components. Among these genes, 135 were comprised within chromosome 14, and 80% of them were previously unknown in functions. Western blot and immunofluorescence assays using newly developed corresponding antibodies showed that some of these newly discovered proteins are highly expressed in merozoites. Further invasion inhibition assays revealed that specific antibodies against several novel merozoite proteins can interfere with parasite invasion. Taken together, our study provides a developmental transcriptome of the asexual parasites of P. falciparum and identifies a group of previously unknown merozoite proteins that may play important roles in the process of merozoite invasion.

An aqueous solution of sodium citrate stabilized gold nanoparticles (AuNP) in the presence of N-lauroyl-L-alanine (C12ALA) forms a stable gel. The structure of the gel and the distribution profile of AuNP in it were analyzed. Will nanoparticles separated from each other with sodium citrate behave in the same way in solution and trapped in the gel matrix? Will the spatial limitation of solvent molecules aggregate nanoparticles and destroy their homogeneity? These questions are very important from the point of view of the use of gold nanoparticles, trapped in the gel structure as carriers of drugs in the slow-release process. The lack of homogeneity of this distribution will have a major impact on the rate of release of the appropriate amount of therapeutic drug from the matrix. In this work, we attempt to answer these questions. The performed biological assays revealed that both C12ALA and C12ALA-AuNP show an excellent level of biological neutrality. They might be used as a transporting medium for a drug delivery without affecting the drug’s activity.

AbstractExtract oils from plants used in 3D polysaccharides modified with natural protein polymer modified polymer scaffolds can help to reduce blood pressure. This study aimed to use extract oils from plant (EOP)as blood pressure-reducing, bind them to magnetic iron nanoparticles (Fe3O4@NPs), then bind them to polymeric 3D print scaffolds [chitosan, polylactic acid, and polyurethane (CS/PLA/PU), modified with natural protein and finally separate them. This method made it possible to investigate different variables for nanoparticles. In this project, synthesis polymer, modified gelatin (Mo-Ge), PEGylation, extract oils from plant loading and release process in nanocarrier with different concentrations were examined and cell proliferation was optimized. The results show that 75% of the extract oils from plant loaded on iron magnetic nanoparticles containing PEGylated polymer scaffolds was released. Cell proliferation was performed for the sample. In this process, modification of scaffolding with polysaccharides modified with natural protein and extract oils from plant increased the efficiency of nanoparticles among the studied Allium sativum and Zingiber officinale. The size of A. sativum and Z. officinale were 29.833 nm and 150.02 nm size, respectively. These behaved very similarly to each other and A. sativum had the biggest effect in lowering blood pressure. The application of extract oils from plant in 3D mode scaffolding has not been studied before and this is the first analysis to do so, using nanoparticles.
