Abstract The article proposes a method and an appropriate algorithm for estimating the error of the measurements of the LiDAR as a technical measurement system to “include” this evaluation in the given accuracy. A generic model for the LiDAR’s measurements is described, a mathematical model of the measurements with the total values of random and systematic errors is given. Based on this method the algorithm for estimating the maximum total error (not exceeding the accuracy of the measurement) is formed. The algorithm complies both with the mathematical description presented in the article, and the methodology described in Russian standard GOST R 8.736-2011. On the basis of the calculated estimate of the weighted average error, it is possible to construct a technical device, that provides a three-fold reserve in terms of measurement accuracy.

Gulliver’s Travels was first published in 1726 and several reprints, each with minor changes in text, were issued within a few years’ time, with the 1735 edition being generally regarded as the more authentic version. Since then, the popularity of the book has never ceased to increase. Swift was as hostile as Pope and the other founders of the Scriblerus Club to the regime of his time and the Hanoverian court and this attitude is reflected in various ways throughout the book, but Gulliver’s Travels suggests that we should look further than the confines of the eighteenth-century world. This paper explores the author’s voice in the narrative in order to look closely at the impact of Swift’s ideas on the reader. The attempt to identify several roles of the author suggests that the reader is perplexed by the narrator’s attitude and challenged to reformulate the entire perspective on the human race. The article, therefore, surveys the book by looking at different authorial voices used by Swift as a technical device to communicate his radical critique of human nature.

The article discusses the main directions of development and improvement of regulatory legal acts regulating the use of unmanned vehicles in the Russian Federation, the legal responsibility of the manufacturer, owner, operator of such a technical device.It is concluded that the priority of the digitalization of the transport complex is the widespread use of BPTS, mainly so far in the field of road and air transport. Examples of pilotless vehicles that have been in trial operation for several years are given. The experiment, which is currently being carried out, will be completed on the 2nd of 2022 and a decision will be made on the ways of developing unmanned vehicles.It is concluded that the priority of the digitalization of the transport complex is the widespread use of BPTS, mainly so far in the field of road and air transport. Classical physics is approached from quantum mechanics in the macroscopic limit. The technical device to achieve this goal is the quantum version of the central limit theorem, derived for an observable at a given time and for the time-dependent expectation value of the coordinate. The emergence of the classical trajectory can be followed for the average of an observable over a large set of independent microscopical systems, and the deterministic classical laws can be recovered in all practical purposes, owing to the largeness of Avogadro’s number. This result refers to the observed system without considering the measuring apparatus. The emergence of a classical trajectory is followed qualitatively in Wilson’s cloud chamber.

This study analyzes the main causes of accidents in the period of coal mine shaft construction and the shortage of the existing safety monitoring technology, puts forward the intelligent safety monitoring robot technology based on shaft construction, and deeply investigates the functions that the safety monitoring robot should have. Besides, the research objective of intelligent safety monitoring robot for shaft construction is pointed out, and the research is carried out from such aspects as the robot body structure, walking mechanism, adsorption mechanism, control, communication, intelligent sensing, hazard source recognition, recognition of explosive detonators, and software platform development. As well, this study designs the technical device of intelligent safety monitoring robot for shaft construction, defines the characteristics of this technology, expounds the important significance of studying this technology, and indicates the development trend of this technology.

The paper is devoted to the task of finding the root cause of anomaly in a distributed information and computing system. An approximate approach is considered to detect implicit anomalies with accuracy to the object (of a component of the technical device, a node of a network infrastructure, an application or of an information resource). The approximate solution is based on the use of integral parameters that allow you to identify an anomaly, but do not allow you to indicate its cause. To work with such methods for determining the root causes of anomalies, auxiliary data is required, which is called metadata in the work. The work describes a metadata construction algorithm and shows ways of using metadata to build an object in which the root cause of the anomaly is located. An approximate solution to the problem of finding the root cause of an anomaly with a help of quickly computable values of integral parameters is necessary to reduce the time of interruption of work processes due to implicit anomalies. It is assumed that small subsystems and nodes are easier to replace than to delve into the study of the cause.

Human conditions and ways of their regulation are presented as a significant problem of a specialist included into the system human-technical device. Unfavorable human-operator's states in the ergmatic system reduce the specialist's cognitive functions, lead to errors and failures in the systems operation. Possible means and experience in assessing the states of operators of systems of special importance are listed. The task of increasing the reliability of work of ergatic systems by means of self-regulation of states at operators is updated. The research of students', graduates', and specialists' ideas about the states and methods of their regulation is described; deficits of students' and specialists' ideas about the states of operators and their importance in the work of ergmatic systems are revealed. Additional guidelines for professional training of specialists in technical areas and specialties, which are able to ensure the reliability of ergonomic systems' operation by self-regulation of operators' own states, have been identified. The author's concept information-analytical readiness of operators in conditions of risks and uncertainty is presented. Information-analytical readiness of operator in the sphere of production is directed to increase the reliability of work of ergmatic system; in the sphere of professional education it becomes one of the priority tasks in pedagogical activity. The content of the Model of an educational institution graduate in technical directions and specialties has been specified. A number of activities of the educational environment for the implementation of the new model have been outlined.

The following work proposes the utilisation of a technical device named “Planning Tool Mosaic” (PTM), defined as a total homogeneous and standardised framework for the principles contained in municipal regulatory plans: the assignment of zoning, legends, and technical rules. The 300,000 km2-broad national territory is divided into nearly 8000 municipalities. Each of them refers to a distinct regulatory plan and then to a distinct regulation on local buildings, infrastructure, and social services. This level of planning tool is the one that has most impact on the territory. This highly fragmented scenario should be driven by upper-level regulation. Although protocols and guidelines are in force, they are almost irrelevant compared to the impact of regulation at the local level. This process is a European example of city planning mismanagement that needs to be brought to the broader attention of the European technical/scientific context. The PTM, though intervening when municipal plans are already in effect, introduces an element of social and political transparency to planning before transformative events occur. It also provides a continuous framework on the probable future of territories, thereby overcoming the current opacity with regard to public cognition of future arrangements.

The section of the monograph describes the author's methodology for implementing a practice-oriented educational process in physics through teaching schoolchildren in methods of solving applied problems and implementing projects. The content of the activity on the development of an educational project is highlighted, the final product of which is a model of a technical device designed to solve vital problems for a person. The requirements for the formulations of applied problems reflecting the purpose and specific properties of a technical device are identified. The applied problems are given, the solution of which in physics lessons makes it possible to form a generalized method of creating a material object of a certain purpose. Methods of creation are described and photographs of some operating models of technical devices, such as «gateway», «granary», «lights», «transformer» are given.

AbstractGlobal anal cancer incidence is increasing. High resolution anoscopy (HRA) currently screens for anal cancer, although the definitive test remains unknown. To improve on intraluminal imaging of the anal canal, we conducted a first-in-human study to determine feasibility and safety of a high-resolution, wide field-of-view scanning endoscope. Fourteen patients, under an IRB-approved clinical study, underwent exam under anesthesia, HRA, and imaging with the experimental device. HRA findings were photographed using an in-line camera attached to the colposcope and compared with the scanning endoscope images. Patients were followed up within 2 weeks of the procedure. The imaging device is inserted into the anal canal and the intraluminal surface is digitally photographed in 10 s and uploaded to a computer monitor for review. Ten patients completed imaging with the device. Three patients were not imaged due to severe anal stenosis. One patient was not imaged due to technical device malfunction. The device images were compared to the HRA images. No adverse event attributable to the device was reported. The intraluminal scanning endoscope can be used for circumferential anal canal imaging and is safe for clinical use. Future clinical studies are needed to evaluate the performance of this device.
