By using pythagorean fuzzy sets and T-S fuzzy descriptor systems, the new (α, β)-pythagorean fuzzy descriptor systems are proposed in this paper. Their definition is given firstly, and the stability of this kind of systems is studied, the relation of (α, β)-pythagorean fuzzy descriptor systems and T-S fuzzy descriptor systems is discussed. The (α, β)-pythagorean fuzzy controller and the stability of (α, β)-pythagorean fuzzy descriptor systems are deeply researched. The (α, β)-pythagorean fuzzy descriptor systems can be better used to solve the problems of actual nonlinear control. The (α, β)-pythagorean fuzzy descriptor systems will be a new research direction, and will become a universal method to solve practical problems. Finally, an example is given to illustrate effectiveness of the proposed method.

As the extension of the Fuzzy sets (FSs) theory, the Interval-valued Pythagorean Fuzzy Sets (IVPFS) was introduced which play an important role in handling the uncertainty. The Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs) proposed by Yager in 2013 can deal with more uncertain situations than intuitionistic fuzzy sets because of its larger range of describing the membership grades. How to measure the distance of Interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy sets is still an open issue. Jensen–Shannon divergence is a useful distance measure in the probability distribution space. In order to efficiently deal with uncertainty in practical applications, this paper proposes a new divergence measure of Interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy sets, which is based on the belief function in Dempster–Shafer evidence theory, and is called IVPFSDM distance. It describes the Interval-Valued Pythagorean fuzzy sets in the form of basic probability assignments (BPAs) and calculates the divergence of BPAs to get the divergence of IVPFSs, which is the step in establishing a link between the IVPFSs and BPAs. Since the proposed method combines the characters of belief function and divergence, it has a more powerful resolution than other existing methods.

In the era of sustainable development, green supplier selection has become a key component of supply chain management, as it considers criteria such as carbon footprint, water usage, energy usage and recycling capacity. Since the green supplier selection problem involves subjective criteria and uncertainty in preferences, it is well suited to using multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM). Although few researchers have investigated MCDM for green supplier selection under uncertainty using intuitionistic and Pythagorean fuzzy sets. Still, the newly developed fermatean fuzzy can handle greater data uncertainty than intuitionistic and Pythagorean fuzzy sets. Since interval extension of fuzzy theory provides more accurate modeling, in this paper, we propose an interval extension of fermatean fuzzy set and discuss its fundamental set operations, arithmetic operations and related properties. We propose the Hamming distance function and the score function of the interval-valued fermatean fuzzy numbers. The recently developed Multi-attribute Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) method is also considered due to its stable and simple computation compared to other conventional MCDM methods. Therefore, an interval-valued fermatean fuzzy MABAC method is proposed and solved to select a green supplier based on multiple criteria. The proposed method's comparative analysis and sensitivity analysis validate the proposed method's effectiveness and robustness.

The purpose of this paper is to propose a new Pythagorean fuzzy entropy for Pythagorean fuzzy sets, which is a continuation of the Pythagorean fuzzy entropy of intuitionistic sets. The Pythagorean fuzzy set continues the intuitionistic fuzzy set with the additional advantage that it is well equipped to overcome its imperfections. Its entropy determines the quantity of information in the Pythagorean fuzzy set. Thus, the proposed entropy provides a new flexible tool that is particularly useful in complex multi-criteria problems where uncertain data and inaccurate information are considered. The performance of the introduced method is illustrated in a real-life case study, including a multi-criteria company selection problem. In this example, we provide a numerical illustration to distinguish the entropy measure proposed from some existing entropies used for Pythagorean fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Statistical illustrations show that the proposed entropy measures are reliable for demonstrating the degree of fuzziness of both Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS) and intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFS). In addition, a multi-criteria decision-making method complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) was also proposed with weights calculated based on the proposed new entropy measure. Finally, to validate the reliability of the results obtained using the proposed entropy, a comparative analysis was performed with a set of carefully selected reference methods containing other generally used entropy measurement methods. The illustrated numerical example proves that the calculation results of the proposed new method are similar to those of several other up-to-date methods.

To determine the connection among any amounts of attributes, the Hamy mean (HM) operator is one of the more broad, flexible, and dominant principles used to operate problematic and inconsistent information in actual life dilemmas. Furthermore, for the option to viably portray more complicated fuzzy vulnerability data, the idea of complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets can powerfully change the scope of sign of choice data by changing a boundary q, dependent on the distinctive wavering degree from the leaders, where ζ ≥ 1, so they outperform the conventional complex intuitionistic and complex Pythagorean fuzzy sets. In genuine dynamic issues, there is frequently a communication problem between credits. The goal of this study is to initiate the HM operators based on the flexible complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy (Cq-ROF) setting, called the Cq-ROF Hamy mean (Cq-ROFHM) operator and the Cq-ROF weighted Hamy mean (Cq-ROFWHM) operator, and some of their desirable properties are investigated in detail. A multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) dilemma for investigating decision-making problems under the Cq-ROF setting is explored with certain examples. Finally, a down-to-earth model for big business asset-arranging framework determination is provided to check the created approach and to exhibit its reasonableness and adequacy. The exploratory outcomes show that the clever MADM strategy is better than the current MADM techniques for managing MADM issues.
