China is about to enter a moderate aging society. In the process of social and economic development, the family socioeconomic status and health status of the elderly have also changed significantly. Learning the impact of family socioeconomic status on elderly health can help them improve family socioeconomic status and better achieve healthy and active aging. Using the data of the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey in 2018, this study firstly analyzed the impact of family socioeconomic status on elderly health using the multivariate linear regression model and quantile regression model, the heterogeneity of different elderly groups using subsample regression, and the mediation effects of three conditions associated with the family socioeconomic status of the elderly. The results show that family socioeconomic status has a negative effect on the frailty index, that is, it has a positive impact on elderly health. Family socioeconomic status has a higher positive impact on the health status of the middle and lower age elderly and rural elderly. Overall living status and leisure and recreation status both have mediation effects, while health-care status has no mediation effect.

Abstract Background Osteosarcopenia, defined as sarcopenia plus osteopenia/osteoporosis, may increase the risk of fractures and affects morbidity and mortality in the older population. Falling is also common in the elderly and increases the risk of fractures and mortality. We examined the association of cardio-metabolic risk factors with a history of falling in osteosarcopenic men. Methods We used the baseline data of the Bushehr Elderly Health (BEH) program. Osteosarcopenia was defined as having both sarcopenia (reduced skeletal muscle mass plus low physical performance and/or low muscle strength) and osteopenia/osteoporosis (T-score ≤ − 1.0). Falling was defined as a self-reported history of an unintentional down on the ground during the previous year before the study. We used logistic regression analysis to estimate the adjusted odds ratio (AOR) with a 95% Confidence Interval (CI) to quantify the associations. Results All elderly men diagnosed with osteosarcopenia (n = 341), with a mean age of 73.3(±7.4) years, were included. Almost 50(14.7%) participants reported falling. Age showed a positive association with falling (AOR: 1.09, 95%CI: 1.04–1.14). An increase of 10 mmHg in systolic blood pressure(SBP), reduces the odds of falling by 26%(AOR:0.74, 95%CI:0.62–0.89), while a positive association was detected for fasting plasma glucose (FPG), as 10 mg/dl increase in the FPG, raises the chance of falling by 14%(AOR = 1.14, 95%CI:1.06,1.23). Hypertriglyceridemia was inversely associated with falling (AOR = 0.33, 95% CI: 0.12, 0.89). Conclusions Falling is a major public health problem in rapidly aging countries, especially in individuals with a higher risk of fragility fractures. Older age-raised fasting plasma glucose and low SBP are associated with falling in osteosarcopenic patients.  Considering the higher risk of fracture in osteosarcopenic men, comprehensive strategies are needed to prevent fall-related injuries in this high-risk population.

The need factor-based to the theory of Andersen and Newman (2005) is seen from 2 aspects, which include the individual assessment aspect (perceived need factor) and the clinical aspect (evaluated need). There is still no publication of review research that discusses specific analyzes of subjective assessment of the needs of the elderly on the use of services in health facilities at Puskesmas and Posyandu. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the influence of perceived need factors on the utilization of health services for the elderly at the Puskesmas and Posyandu. This study is a qualitative study with a literature review using quantitative and mixed methods analysis which are published from 2016 to 2021. The collection of literature using the Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases. The search results obtained 60 articles that matched the keywords and then the overall identification was carried out using inclusion and exclusion criteria in the content of the article so that 12 articles were reviewed. The results showed which variable of perceived need factor that most commonly found to be related to the utilization of elderly health care services at Puskesmas and Posyandu was the chronic condition variable (n = 4 articles), followed by the self-rated health, subjective health complaint, perception for benefit matter and limitation in daily activities variable, each of them are (n=2 articles). Further studies are needed to develop an appropriate instrument in assessing the factors of the needs of the elderly in full, namely the factors of the needs of the elderly which are seen from the clinical aspect of the utilization of health services at the Puskesmas and Posyandu.

Demographic shifts towards an aging population are becoming a significant fiscal challenge for governments. Previous research has explored the fiscal consequences of the expanding elderly population, but the impact on the elderly’s health quality is less mentioned. The balanced relationship between elderly population health and public finance is a major concern of the global political agenda on the aging society. This article used cross-country panel data from 2000 to 2019 to examine the fiscal effect of the elderly health burden and the mediating role of healthcare resources. The results are demonstrated: The elderly health burden has a negative impact on fiscal balance, especially in aged society and longevity countries. Moreover, the mediating effect of healthcare resources is significant, whereby various forms of healthcare resources such as funds, labor, and facilities all have significant effects. Thus, the conceptual framework of elderly population health, healthcare resources, and public finance is confirmed that the elderly health burden specifically leads to the growing consumption of healthcare resources, which reduces the fiscal balance. It is concluded that reducing the elderly health burden and improving healthcare resource efficiencies are two feasible strategies to enhance fiscal sustainability.

Abstract The issue of ecology has been under discussion for a long time. In construction, there is such a concept as green construction, which means the use of technologies for the construction of buildings with less negative impact on the environment and humans. Over time, green building has become a global trend, and there was a need building certification for green technology. This article discusses the global and Russian certification systems for green buildings such as BREEAM, LEED, WELL, Fitwel, STO NOSTROY. Their comparative analysis is carried out, what aspects each of them considers, what they have in common and different. The application of these standards for certification of green buildings is considered on the example of STO NOSTROY and Fitwel for homes for the disabled and the elderly -health care institutions in which guests need constant care and attention, where maintaining their health and well-being is the most important task.
