Based on entrepreneurial psychology, the current situation of foreign students’ use of learning strategies in Chinese learning is explored, the overall situation of learning strategies in this process is analyzed, and the relationship between foreign students’ use of learning strategies and various factors are obtained through the designed questionnaire survey. First, a questionnaire suitable for the research respondents is designed to investigate the current situation of foreign students’ use of learning strategies in Chinese learning; second, 200 questionnaires are distributed, and 195 questionnaires are recovered, with a recovery rate of 97.5%. After the invalid questionnaire is excluded, the effective rate is 95%; furthermore, the reliability of the questionnaire data is analyzed by SPSS25 software, and Cronbach’s α coefficient is 0.869, which proves that the questionnaire has high reliability; finally, the overall situation of foreign students’ use of learning strategies in Chinese learning is analyzed from the aspects of their majors, their levels of Chinese proficiency, Chinese learning time, age and personality. The results show that the frequency of using cognitive strategies in learning Chinese is the highest, with a score of 3.689; There is a positive correlation between the use of learning strategies and the degree of proficiency of Chinese; Among them, the foreign students who have studied for 2–3 years use learning strategies the most frequently, and the students aged 28–32 use learning strategies the most frequently in the Chinese level test 4. This study provides new ideas for foreign students’ Chinese teaching and has a certain reference for foreign students’ Chinese teaching strategies.

Game-based learning is a wide-used learning way in recent years. Many research have showed that educational board games cause a positive effect on students' learning motivation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of educational board game on students' Chinese learning performance, flow experience, and learning motivation. Nineteen undergraduate students participated in this study. The outcomes indicated that the integration of educational board game into Chinese learning could maintain and arouse students' learning. Also, the study showed that game-based Chinese learning activities could significantly improve students' learning performance and narrow the learning gap between high-level group students and medium-level group students.

Millions of people worldwide are taking up foreign languages with logographic writing systems, such as Japanese or Chinese. Learning thousands of characters necessary for literacy in those languages is a unique challenge to those coming from alphabetic backgrounds, and sustaining motivation in the face of such a momentous task is a struggle for many students. Many games exist for this purpose, but few offer production memory practice such as writing, and the vast majority are thinly veiled flashcards. To address this gap, we created Radical Tunes—a musical kanji-writing game—which combines production practice with musical mnemonic by assigning a melody to each element of a character. We chose to utilize music as it is a powerful tool that can be employed to enhance learning and memory. In this article, we explore whether incorporating melodies into a kanji learning game can positively affect the memorization of the stroke order/direction and overall shape of several Japanese characters, similar to the mnemonic effect of adding music to text. Specifically, we conducted two experimental studies, finding that (1) music improved immersion—an important factor related to learning; and (2) there was a positive correlation between melody presence and character production, particularly for more complex characters.

Empirical studies and literature on Chinese language learning strategies (CLLS) in China and abroad have outlined theoretical introductions and case descriptions for nearly a decade. Reportedly, studies on CLLS indicated the following characteristics: The study respondents were primarily international students in China gearing towards regionalisation, nationalisation, or localisation. Furthermore, the qualitative study method followed an empirical, comprehensive, and descriptive learning strategy, such as observations and interviews. However, although the factors influencing learning strategies were gradually becoming diversified, several study limitations were identified (uneven regional studies, insufficient research samples, single research methods, and lack of theoretical paradigms in training learning strategies). Hence, researchers needed to conduct in-depth studies and deeply perceive CLLS to promote Chinese learning and teaching.

The strong rise of the globalization trend makes most students want to learn other languages than English. Many students have chosen Chinese as their second foreign language because China is one of the world's largest economies today. Learning vocabulary is one of the important factors that require much investment from the learners so that they need to find a suitable and effective learning method for themselves. To help Chinese learners learn vocabulary in an easier and more effective way, we would like to propose an approach of Designing online flashcards to help students learn Chinese vocabulary. This proposal is supported by Anki software. We design a set of Chinese vocabulary flashcards on this platform based on pre-compiled content. With the assisting of flashcards in learning Chinese, we can help the learners learn Chinese vocabulary more conveniently and more effectively. To evaluate this approach, we asked the learners for using a set of flashcards that we designed on the Anki app. The joining learners in this study are the 46th generation students, freshers in Chinese learning, in the Chinese Faculty at HCMUE. The survey results show that the majority of users are satisfied with their experiences on online flashcards, and they see it much helpful for learning Chinese vocabulary.

Chinese speech synthesis refers to the technology that machines transform human speech signals into corresponding texts or commands through recognition and understanding. This paper combines the classic VAD and GSM VAD1 algorithm simulations, improves on the above two algorithms to recognize and collect speech, and analyzes their Chinese proficiency by amplifying the signal through a filter, in order to study the adulthood of Zhengzhou University in Southeast Asian students (mother tongues are Indonesian and Thai) as the research objects, to explore the relationship between the Chinese phonetic proficiency and the acquisition motivation of Southeast Asian students. This article combines algorithm and language disciplines. According to the results of Praat and SPSS: 55-80 points account for 70%, 55 points below 20% and 80 points above 10%, we find that intrinsic motivation plays a role in CSL acquisition, a vital role. Intrinsic motivation can help mature learners from Southeast Asia to acquire Chinese better and better. The earlier you learn Chinese, the higher your motivation, and the easier it is to set your Chinese learning goals. The greater the enthusiasm for learning Chinese, the better the Chinese scores (such as HSK test scores and Chinese phonetic test scores). Therefore, the Chinese proficiency of international students has a great relationship with their interest in Chinese language, that is, the greater the interest in Chinese, the stronger their motivation to learn, and the Chinese proficiency will be very good.
