In the real world, there are processes whose structures are like a parallel-series mixed network. Network data envelopment analysis (NDEA) is one of the appropriate methods for assessing the performance of processes with these structures. In the paper, mixed processes with two parallel and series components are considered, in which the first component or parallel section consists of the shared in-puts, and the second component or series section consists of undesirable factors. By considering the weak disposability assumption for undesirable factors, a DEA approach as based on network slack-based measure (NSBM) is introduced to evaluate the performance of processes with mixed structures. The proposed model is illustrated with a real case study. Then, the model is developed to discriminate efficient units.

Nowadays we have to handle the tasks for volume determination of surge pile materials (sand, coal, crushed stone) on industrial objects and building grounds. The type of work is necessary for keeping record of supplied and consumed materials, and also for their piling. This article gives com-parative analysis of 3 calculation methods for land works (horizontal sections, cone, vertical parallel section) in AutoCADCivil 3D. The object of research was the sand, delivered and piled in the Novosibirsk river port. The sand is a rather difficult substance to be calculated as it gets settled down in wet condition and blown away in dry one. The results of the research showed that the most accurate method for sand volume calculation is vertical parallel section one in AutoCADCivil 3D.

Contrapuncti 8 and 11 from Bach’sArt of Fuguedemonstrate triple fugal writing in three and four parts respectively. Contrapunctus 11 employs the original and inverted forms of the three subjects used in Contrapunctus 8. This paper investigates specific contrapuntal techniques used by Bach to articulate the sectional designs of each contrapunctus and to identify combinations of particular structural importance across both works. The approach draws upon the term horizontal-shifting counterpoint, originally coined by the early twentieth-century Russian theorist Sergei Taneyev, to assist in describing Bach’s sophisticated use of imitative contrapuntal combinations that pervade the fabrics of several sections in each contrapunctus. This study also draws upon Joel Lester’s model of heightened sectional constructions to show how Bach intensifies the contrapuntal combinations between and across the sections of both works.

Abstract A bounded domain $K$ is called polynomially integrable if its parallel section function $V_{n-1}(K\cap \{\xi ^\perp +t\xi \})$ is a polynomial of $t$ (on its support) for every $\xi $. A complete characterization of such domains was given recently. Here we obtain a generalization of these results in the setting of dual quermassintegrals. We also address the associated smoothness issues.

Vertical Well-bore Section Anti-collision is one of the main problems to be resolved for clustering directional well during the construction process. In order to effectively reduce the Vertical Well Section collision risk of this wells, the relationship between Wellbore cross-collision probability and the Wellbore separation was studied, the relationship between Wellbore cross-collision probability and the parallel Section length of the two Wellbore was also studied, Based on the above study found the method to calculate the Vertical Wellbore Section cross-collision probability of the clustering directional well. The Vertical Well-bore Section arrangement with smallest cross-collision probability was found by analyzing the cross-collision probability in line style wellhead of cluster wells consisting of 4 wells through this method. The results show that when the Well-bore separation is less than 1.5m. Wellbore collision probability rapidly decrease with the increase of Well-bore separation, the wellbore collision probability trends to smooth when wellbore separation is more than this distance, and the tendency will increase with the increase of parallel section length of the two Wellbore. By optimizing the arrangement and design methods can effectively reduce the collision risk. This study provides a new idea to reduce the overall risk of Cluster Well development.

Abstract Three constructive principles underlie the large-scale thematic and organizational aspects of J. S. Bach's compositions: (1) the opening of a piece states a core of material that is worked with throughout the composition; (2) recurrences of material almost invariably exhibit a heightening level of activity in some or all musical elements; and (3) movements quite frequently subdivide into roughly parallel sections within which these heightened recurrences appear. The interaction of these three principles, all pertinent to contemporaneous theoretical perspectives, provides a unified perspective on Bach's creations in all genres. This essay explores interactions of the latter principles with the more familiar first one.
