The former island of Södertörn, just south of Stock- holm, was intensively settled during the Early Neo- lithic. For more than twenty years a field at Stensborg, Grödinge parish, was surveyed for surface finds. Most numerous among the various artefact categories were axes, with stone axes of different shapes showing that they had been intentionally fragmented. Fragments of pointed-butted and thin-butted flint axes were also found, all of them changed by intensive heat. Just as the flint axes indicate contact with southern Scandi- navia, slate objects demonstrate the existence of net- works extending to northern Sweden. During the Early Neolithic the site was a slope situ- ated in the innermost part of a bay, delimited by the shoreline on one side and a ridge on the opposite side. Two small but pronounced ravines of streams also form part of the natural boundary of the site. During excavation of the field several small pits were found that were filled with fragments of axes, pottery and other objects, along with a considerable amount of carbonized seed. Most of the finds have in- dications of destruction, either directly or by the use of fire. The field seems to have been used as a place for assemblies, where rituals were an important part of the activities. The Stensborg site seems to represent yet another kind of natural enclosure involving ritual activities during the Early Neolithic. This presenta- tion is part of a project in progress.

Abstract There is no space in the innermost part of the 1QSam scroll to include 2Sam 24. The last three columns (2Sam 20–23) can be materially reconstructed with 46, 42, or 21 lines. With one of the eight literary appendices to 2Samuel missing, other appendices may be absent too. A number of factors point to a reconstruction with 21 lines and containing only three appendices: a) very few scrolls dated to 50–1 BCE have more than 40 lines, medium-sized scrolls are most common; b) a 46-line reconstruction without ch. 24 would destroy the chiastic structure of the appendices; c) a 46-line reconstruction (as preferred by Ziemer) would require the long psalm of ch. 22 to be formatted without any section breaks or vacats; d) Qumran scrolls and literary analysis evince many cases of 2nd and 1st century literary editing of biblical scrolls as well as preservation of earlier variant recensions. Further, Ziemer’s consequent critique of the linear model of literary growth in biblical studies should be welcomed but remains one-sided. Editorial growth into new recensions could develop according to different paradigms.

Pregnancy is the most important part of every woman’s life. The union of Sukra, Sonita and Jivatma inside the Garbhasaya forms Garbha. The innermost part of Garbhasaya is filled with minute hair like capillaries which nourishes the embryo after fertilization. Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters. Throughout this period utmost care has to be taken to maintain the health of both the baby and mother. Health of baby de-pends upon health of mother and hence it is necessary to preserve the health of the mother. Laghumalini-vasanta Rasa1 is a herbo- mineral formulation which is widely used during pregnancy. It is a well-known Vasanta Kalpa formulation. It is a suitable ayurvedic remedy to cope up with problems arising during pregnancy, as it is very helpful to stabilise the foetus, thereby reducing the tendency of abortion. It is also helpful in female health related problems like menorrhagia, leucorrhoea and reduces excessive vaginal dis-charge also. As per the reference of Yoga Ratnakara the main ingredients of Laghumalinivasanta rasa are ShudhaKharpara and Marichachoorna. With appropriate Anupana this medicine is effective in all types of Garbhinijwara as well as it is good for Garbhaposhana. This review article highlights the role of Laghumalinivasanta rasa in stabilising the foetus.

I belonged to the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) (formerly Resources and Technical Services Division (RTSD)) for my entire professional career. It was my home in ALA, and where I forged relationships, learned valuable skills for my career, took advantage of continuing education offerings, and contributed to the profession through presentations, committee and task force work, and in editing ALCTS publications. And now, after considerable discussion and planning, ALCTS, along with the Library Leadership & Management Association (LLAMA) and the Library Information Technology Association (LITA), are now Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures. This new division will draw on the strengths of the three former divisions. The Oxford English Dictionary provides various meanings for the word “core,” including “The central or innermost part, the ‘heart’ of anything,” and “a central portion that is cut out, or that remains after using the surrounding parts.” These definitions are quite appropriate and fitting for Core.

ABSTRACT We present spectroscopic observations of the Be/X-ray binary X Per obtained during the period 2017 December–2020 January (MJD 58095–58865). In 2017 December, the H α, H β, and He i 6678 emission lines were symmetric with violet-to-red peak ratio V/R ≈ 1. During the first part of the period (2017 December–2018 August), the V/R ratio decreased to 0.5 and the asymmetry developed simultaneously in all three lines. In 2018 September, a third component with velocity ≈250 km s−1 appeared on the red side of the He i line profile. Later, this component emerged in H β, accompanied by the appearance of a red shoulder in H α. Assuming that it is due to an eccentric wave in the circumstellar disc, we find that the eccentric wave appeared first in the innermost part of the disc, it spreads out with outflowing velocity vwave ≈ 1.1 ± 0.2 km s−1, and the eccentricity of the eccentric wave is ewave ≈ 0.29 ± 0.07. A detailed understanding of the origin of such eccentricities would have applications to a wide range of systems from planetary rings to AGNs.

Abstract: The intimate refers to the innermost part of a person, an areathat cannot be shown. But intimacy, the definition of which mostlydepends on historical and social factors, sometimes seems to go beyondthe private sphere and clearly enters the public one. We will here advancethe contents of the contributions to this monograph, which aims to analyzethe expression of the subject’s inner self -without forgetting, of course, itsspecific features in women- in arts, cinema and literature.

ABSTRACT We present the results of the latest NuSTAR monitoring campaign of the Compton-thick Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC 1068, composed of four ∼50 ks observations performed between 2017 July and 2018 February to search for flux and spectral variability on time-scales from 1 to 6 months. We detect one unveiling and one eclipsing event with time-scales less than 27 and 91 d, respectively, ascribed to Compton-thick material with NH = (1.8 ± 0.8) × 1024 and ≥ (2.4 ± 0.5) × 1024 cm−2 moving across our line of sight. This gas is likely located in the innermost part of the torus or even further inward, thus providing further evidence of the clumpy structure of the circumnuclear matter in this source. Taking advantage of simultaneous Swift–XRT observations, we also detected a new flaring ULX, at a distance d ∼ 30 arcsec (i.e. ∼2 kpc) from the nuclear region of NGC 1068, with a peak X-ray intrinsic luminosity of (3.0 ± 0.4) × 1040 erg s−1 in the 2–10 keV band.

In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview of the state-of-knowledge of dust flux and variability in time and space in different sectors of East Antarctica during the Holocene. By integrating the literature data with new evidences, we discuss the dust flux and grain-size variability during the current interglacial and its provenance in the innermost part of the East Antarctic plateau as well as in peripheral regions located close to the Transantarctic Mountains. The local importance of aeolian mineral dust aerosol deflated from low-elevation areas of peripheral East Antarctica is also discussed in the light of new data from several coastal, low-elevation sites.

Context. Broad, asymmetric, and red-skewed Fe Kα emission lines have been observed in the spectra of low-mass X-ray binaries hosting neutron stars (NSs) as a compact object. Because more than one model is able to describe these features, the explanation of where and how the red-skewed Fe lines are produced is still a matter of discussion. It is broadly accepted that the shape of the Fe Kα line is strongly determined by the special and general relativistic effects occurring in the innermost part of the accretion disk. In this relativistic framework, the Fe fluorescent lines are produced in the innermost part of the accretion disk by reflection of hard X-ray photons coming from the central source (corona and/or NS surface). We developed an alternative and nonrelativistic model, called the WINDLINE model, that is capable to describe the Fe line features. In this nonrelativistic framework, the line photons are produced at the bottom of a partly ionized outflow (wind) shell as a result of illumination by the continuum photons coming from the central source. In this model the red-skewness of the line profile is explained by repeated electron scattering of the photons in a diverging outflow. Aims. Examining the asymmetry of the fluorescent Fe K emission line evident in the XMM-Newton EPIC-pn spectra of the NS source GX 13+1, we aim to distinguish between the two line models. Because GX 13+1 is a well-known disk-wind source, it is a perfect target for testing the WINDLINE model and compare the spectral fits between the relativistic and nonrelativistic line models. Methods. We used two XMM-Newton EPIC-pn observations in which the Fe line profiles were previously reported in the literature. These observations are not strongly affected by pile-up, and the Fe emission lines appear very strong and red-skewed. In order to access the goodness of the fit and distinguish between the two line models, we used the run-test statistical method in addition to the canonical χ2 statistical method. Results. The DISKLINE and WINDLINE models both fit the asymmetric Fe line well that is present in the XMM-Newton energy spectra of GX 13+1. From a statistical point of view, for the two observations we analyzed, the run-test was not able to distinguish between the two Fe line models, at 5% significance level.
