One of characters of modernist Islam organization in Indonesia is the opposition to traditionalist Islam practices. Initially, the modernist Islam activist also learned in the traditional Islam culture before they turned around. This study focuses on the roots of the traditional Islam among the modernist Islam organization activists, Islamic Union (Persatuan Islam/PERSIS). The study object is the historical life of the PERSIS chairman, Aceng Zakaria and his magnum opus works, al-Muyassar fî ‘Ilm al-Naḥw and al-Hidâyah fî Masâ’il Fiqh Muta‘âriḍah. Through a socio-intellectual historical approach, the study shows that the Islamic intellectual tradition of the modernist activists is inseparable from the learning of traditional pesantren. Aceng Zakaria, as a PERSIS ulama, originally learned at the traditional pesantren in the mid-twentieth century. The roots of traditional Islamic science influences his intellectual career which was reflected in his works. Both books, Arabic grammar al-Muyassar and fiqh discourse al-Hidâyah demonstrate his connectivity to the intellectual of traditional pesantren. However, Aceng Zakaria, as a modernist and reformist ulama, also modified his explanation systematically and practically. This shows that the genealogy of intellectual tradition of pesantren has an important position in supporting the development of reformist Islamic ideas in Indonesia.

The purpose of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) of STIBA Makassar Batch IV is to realize community service which is a pillar of “Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi”. The method of implementing this activity is to map the problems and needs first using soar analysis instruments. After analyzing problems and needs, a work program is prepared that is appropriate and needed by the community. Successful work programs are Tahfiz Weekend For Children, Social Services, Funeral Training, and Santri Children's Festival. The result of this activity is to see the enthusiasm of the community, adults and children in every activity. They feel great benefits after participating in various KKN work programs, among which are children able to recite daily prayers and memorize some surahs in the Qur'an, Muslim women also increasingly understand the basics of Islamic science and are determined to keep learning even though this KKN program has ended. In addition, underprivileged communities also feel the benefits by lightening their burdens through social service activities.

Imam Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Yusuf bin Abdul Manan Al-Hilmi Al-Amassi is one of the most prominent scholars of the twelfth century in the Ottoman Empire, especially in the islamic science of readings and hadith As for his book (Najah Al-Qari, Sahih Al-Bukhari), it is a great, useful and comprehensive book, the author has emptied his can and exerted his effort until he showed it to the people, a comprehensive collector to views of predecessors, Riwayeten and dirayeten, including to successor sayings with all honesty and care. And that caption all sides jurisprudence of hadith. Might he was hope with that to be his that book a comprehensive reference for everyone who wants to delve into the hadith and its sciences. And this research aims to definition the author’s political, social life and scientific state in addition to studying the hadith in his time. As such that research encompass definition the book “Najah Al-Qari” to Sahih Al-Bukhari, and encompass rank of Al-Bukhari to the Ottoman sultans, and the definition the author’s curriculum in that.  It adopted the inductive approach to extrapolate the texts and collect them within the limits of the research topic. It also adopted the descriptive approach in analyzing and interpreting texts and drawing conclusions, adhering to the limits of the research in focusing on the approach of Imam Yusuf Effendi Zadeh in his book Najah Al Qari. Among the most prominent results that I reached is that Imam Yusuf Effendizadeh's approach in his book Analytical Method, as it is considered in his method of explanation as an explanation mixed with the text.

The study aimed to know the extent of the use of forensic science teachers to methods of individualizing education, The extent of their knowledge of this strategy, and the obstacles to its use, this study was applied to the forensic science teachers in the middle stage, In the general education schools in Layla affiliated to Al- Aflaj Governorate, during the first semester of the year 1441- 1442 AH, whose number is (18) female teachers, The researcher used the descriptive method, The questionnaire was used to collect data, The data was analyzed using SPSS, and the results indicated that there is a dearth of training courses in this strategy, It also indicated that 94.4% of the teachers do some unique methods, such as choosing the most appropriate means of reinforcement for the desired behavior, And pause a little to make sure the student understands the skill, and develop a treatment plan for the underachieved students and arouse the enthusiasm of the students for active participation, Also, the increase in the teaching quorum is the most important obstacle that affects the application of methods.

Abstract The reputation of the late-antique or early Islamic al-Filāḥa l-nabaṭiyya (The Nabatean Agriculture) as an esoteric forgery has recently begun to shift and its value as a source for the study of early-Islamic or late-antique Near Eastern paganism has been restored. This article contributes to a further reinterpretation of the work by elucidating its value for the history of late-antique and early Islamic science. It argues that the work distinguishes between the epistemological categories of the rational and the marvelous and critically approaches both based on a rational empiricism which it shares with contemporary disciplines such as medicine and astrology. The concepts of experience (taǧriba) and reason (qiyās) are central to al-Filāḥa l-nabaṭiyya’s epistemology, and the work relies on observation and experiments, combined with methods of deductive and analogical reasoning to obtain applied botanical and agricultural knowledge. Al-Filāḥa l-nabaṭiyya also contains competing views regarding prophecy and astrological knowledge which are illustrative of epistemological debates within Pagan late-antique scholarship.

Islam has comprehensive rule that regulate in all aspects of human life, including evireonmental issues. One fact of global problems related to environment is waste management problem. Zero waste is waste management system which it could be a holistic solution due to waste issue. This study aim to analyse the zero waste concept within Islamic-science prespective on municipal waste reduction as a solution to prevent environmental damage. This study use literature reviews method that focuse on waste management programs in Surabaya City which have been stated on a national and international scale. The results of this study show implementation of waste management programs In Surabaya City such as the depletion of disposable plastic usage, the existence of waste bank units, until the presence of a solid waste power plant infrastructure. However, the program implementation has not been able to decrease the number of resource in Surabaya landfill. It is because of poorly coordination between government and society, and the lack of environmental awareness about the harm of waste resource to environmental health. Thus, the existence of zero waste concept combined with Islamic-science prespective could lead direction movement to appreciate the importance of proper and correct waste management. Based on these results, it conclude that waste management with zero waste concept considered to become a new lifestyle in waste management namely Islamic lifestyle, because it is in line with Islamic law. Moreover, this new lifestyle could be implemented in all communities regarding to the nature is a gift form Allah SWT and humans have a command to protect it.

This study aimed to analyze science learning in the Bilingual Class System (BCS) in the Tahfidz Science Program of MAN 2 Kudus. The methodology in this study uses qualitative methods. Observation, interviews, and documentation collected data. The results showed that the science learning process was carried out in accordance with the learning steps, namely planning, carrying out learning activities, and evaluating. The BCS Program uses the Islamization model of science, scientific science, and integral Islamic Science in integrating learning between religion and science. The science learning model at BCS Science Tahfidz of MAN 2 Kudus is based on integrated science learning in Madrasah Education units and Tahfidz al-Qur'an Islamic boarding schools with the vision of creating students whose Islamic character, excel in achievement and are skilled in technology by using the Guidance, Research, Intensive, Science, Integration, Religion, Islamization, Scientification, Laboratory, Acculturation, Mentoring, Excellence, Intellectual, Complete and Evaluative model which is abbreviated as BRISIA ISLAM KITE.

The study of the history of the development of hadith and ulumul hadith is one of the studies developed  in Islamic science. This study is important because hadith is the second reference to Islam after the Qur'an. Therefore we need an in-depth study of the discourse on the development of "syarah" hadith. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the development of the science of hadith commentary since the early century of Hijrah. It traces its historical development and contribution in expanding the profound understanding of hadith and its science. This paper attempts to illustrate the discipline of usul al-sharh and set forth its underlying method as presented by hadith scholars in their major works of hadith commentary. The discussion focuses on the method and ittijahat al-sharh in interpreting and commenting rigorously on authentic works of hadith.AbstrakPengkajian tentang sejarah perkembangan hadith dan ulumul hadith merupakan salah satu kajian dalam ilmu keislaman. Hal ini disebabkan karena hadith merupakan rujukan Islam yang kedua setelah al-Qur’an. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah kajian yang mendalam tentang diskursus perkembangan ilmu syarah hadith. Adapun tujuan artikel ini mengkaji dinamika perkembangan ilmu syarah sejak  abad pertama Hijrah. Di dalamnya akan mengelaborasi pertumbuhan dan sumbangannya dalam mengembangkan pemikiran dan pemahama hadith dan ulumul hadith. Selebihnya juga menjelaskan pemahaman usul al-sharh dan menguraikan kekuatan metode yang digunakan oleh ulama dalam menghasilkan kitab-kitab syarah. Perbincangannya menfokuskan kepada manhaj dan ittijahat al-sharh yang digunakan dalam mengupas dan membahaskan kitab-kitab hadith yang muktabar.

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan persepsi pelajar tentang bekerja sambil belajar ketika suasana pandemik Covid-19 ini. Ia juga mengkaji kesan positif dan negatif bekerja semasa belajar dan meneroka cabaran yang dihadapi oleh pelajar yang bekerja semasa belajar dan cara mereka mengatasi masalah. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dalam situasi menemubual pelajar tahun tiga, Fakulti Pengajian Bahasa Utama dari Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Nilai, Negeri Sembilan secara dalam talian. Kajian ini melibatkan 3 responden. Pengkaji menggunakan kaedah persampelan rawak mudah untuk memilih sampel. Data penyelidikan dikumpulkan melalui pemerhatian, analisis dokumen dan temuduga. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan terdapat kelebihan dan kekurangan kepada pelajar USIM yang bekerja semasa belajar. Antara kelebihannya adalah dapat menambah pendapatan dari segi kewangan. Mereka juga mendapat pengalaman baharu untuk kerjaya dalam dunia pekerjaan. Ini penting agar mereka tidak menganggur pada masa akan datang. Kelemahannya adalah boleh menyebabkan tekanan emosi seperti keletihan dan kurang tidur kerana kesukaran membahagikan masa antara waktu belajar secara dalam talian dan bekerja terutama berdepan dengan cabaran semasa ketika Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) yang dilaksanakan kerajaan sekarang.   This study aims to determine the students’ perceptions on working while studying during the current period of Covid-19 pandemic. It also examines the positive and negative effects of working while studying and explores the challenges faced by students who are working while studying, and how do they overcome the problems. This study uses a qualitative approach by interviewing third year students, Faculty of Major Language Studies from Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM), Nilai, Negeri Sembilan via online. This research involved 3 respondents whereby the researchers used the purposive sampling method for USIM students. Research data were collected through participant observation, document analysis and interviews via Telegram application. The results of this study show that there are advantages and disadvantages for USIM students who work while studying. The advantage is that for USIM students who work while studying are financially capable because they are working. They also get new experience for their career in the world of employment, which is important to avoid being unemployed in the future. The disadvantage is that it can cause emotional stress such as fatigue and lack of sleep due to the difficulty of dividing time between online study and work especially during the Movement Control Order (MCO).

However, along with the times, pesantren have not only opened religious-based schools, but also public schools that provide general knowledge (natural, social, and language) to their students. Educational formalities in pesantren were also proposed so that pesantren alumni could continue their education to public schools. There are three main problems in this paper by reconstructing the pesantren education system, as follows; (1) the relationship between pesantren and the outside world, (2) the relationship between pesantren and science and technology, and (3) the epistemology of Islamic Science in Pesantren Sains (Trensains).�The qualitative�descriptive method is the choice in this study. This research is a qualitative field study with case studies. In order to obtain comprehensive data and pay attention to the relationship between the data and the focus and objectives of the research, data collection in this study used three techniques, namely (1) interviews, (2) participant observation: (3) research documentation. Research activities in data analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From this research, it can be found that the interaction of science and technology with science cannot be denied. So pesantren must be prepared to deal with it. There are several Islamic boarding schools that have interacted with science and technology, both of which have greatly influenced the style of education, one of which is the Tebuireng Science Boarding School (Trensains). Santri are invited to study religion (Qur'an) as well as to study the verses of Kauniyah contained in it.Keywords: Interaction, Pesantren, Science, Technology
