The article problematizes state penality as a mechanism of repression of precarious workers through a war on drugs in the Philippines. The narratives of 27 arrested ‘drug personalities’ in Metro Manila tell of how methamphetamine energizes bodies and motivates minds for productive work. Bidding to be classified as willing and able workers and family men, the study’s participants orient to a moral stratification that pits the ‘moral versus immoral’ and the ‘hardworking versus lazy’. Qualifying their drug use as strategic and calculated, they uphold the neoliberal values of individual choice and accountability. Their support for the anti-drug campaign stems from their recognition of a drug problem and the socioemotional toll of the dysfunctions of living in the slums. While trade liberalization facilitates methamphetamine inflow, a war on drugs fuels an authoritarian populism. As the state reaffirms symbolic mission to protect its citizens, it blames precarity to a problem population.

The competitiveness of Indonesian workers is still lagging behind several countries in the world. For this reason, the Indonesian government needs to increase labor productivity which is a component of competitiveness. One of the efforts is to organize training related to work productivity. This study aims to evaluate and analyze the impact of productivity training programs organized by the government on the implementation of productive work culture in Indonesia. This study uses quantitative data analysis in the form of path analysis using SmartPLS software. The results show that productive work culture can encourage work productivity, job training can encourage Kaizen culture, and a productive work culture directly, but job training does not directly encourage work productivity. Kaizen culture has a positive and significant relationship to work productivity indirectly, but through the 5S culture first. The productivity improvement training program and consulting guidance by the government need to pay attention to the dominant work culture applied by companies to achieve high work productivity.

Abstract: Thermal energy is energy that comes from a substance whose molecules and atoms are vibrating faster due to a rise in temperature. In thermodynamic terms, Thermal energy is the internal energy present in a system in a state of thermodynamic equilibrium by virtue of its temperature. Thermal energy cannot be converted to productive work as easily as the energy of the systems that are not in thermodynamic equilibrium. Matter is made up of molecules and atoms that are constantly moving. The increase in temperature causes these particles to move faster and collide with each other. The hotter the substance, the more its particles move, and the higher its thermal energy. Thermodynamics is the branch of physics that deals with the relationships between heat and other forms of energy. That is, thermodynamics involves measuring thermal energy. ➣ In this paper we will be talking about the primary concepts of thermodynamics related to the formulation of thermal energy and then explain the correlation between thermal energy and thermal power. We also have included a CASE Study on the adverse Environmental effects of Thermal power production.

Counter Productive Work Behaviour (CWB) is vibrant phenomena existing in contemporary workplace setting which has to be encountered. This study explores the Psychological Capital (PC) interference towards controlling CWB. Study structure was based on quantitative and cross sectional research. Questionnaires were distributed amid 240 workers of SNGPL KPK, Pakistan. Structure Equation Modeling (SEM) besides regression plus correlation techniques was applied for data analysis. The outcomes of study explore that there occurs solid affirmative correlation amid PC interference in the direction of controlling CWB. The forthcoming research zone is also integrated in this study.

ABSTRACT: This study aims to describe the exploitation of cerbung fish and its socio-economic consequences as a driver of the economy of the residents of Perlis Village, West Brandan District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. The method used to obtain data and information in this research is live-in with residents, while carrying out observations and interviews with informants in each stage of the cerbung fish production process as well as key informants. The results of the study show that the exploitation of cerbung fish has created a productive work cycle of ‘money printing' for many people so that this business can act as the economic locomotive of Perlis Village. Those involved as agents in this business are fishermen or fish catchers (men), women splitting and drying fish, boat and yard washers (fishing gear), ducklings, fish shovelers, canoe miners, and owners shop.

In this paper, we intend to address the most non-addressed issue among social and behavioural management, which is the psychological behaviour of firms toward their employees and therefore toward process performance. Apart from being socially and environmentally responsible, sustainability concept has underlined the importance of the psychological management of teems and individuals to bring together all ingredients that sustain the so awaited sustainability. Until today, the most successful firms strive to create the best productive work environment that can be offered, but still cannot reach the expected results. Yet, the most common mistake that firms tend to ignore is what stands behind minds because motivation is far from being material; it is a complex concept that appeals to leaders’ strategic awareness and intelligence.
