A huge period in person's life is closely associated with studying at school, college, or university. Studying is teachers, each of whom is endowed with their own characteristics. Teacher's personality traits help us to adapt, to become interested in science, to understand who we are to be. We are grateful to teachers all our lives. But there are always those who we do not like for some reasons on the long road of education. The reasons that we often cannot even realize. It is well known that teaching as a profession is one of the most energy-intensive. A good teacher needs to be mature, emotionally resilient, mentally and physically healthy. If a teacher, in addition to their main activity, is also engaged in the implementation of additional educational projects, the energy expenditure becomes even greater. The teacher's work is always full of situations, which, in the end, can (and do) lead to burnout: emotional workload, huge responsibility and permanent stress. As a result, an overworked teacher is likely to burn out in the flame of neuroses, depression, psychosomatic diseases. Thus, the school has a long overdue situation where the main client of a psychologist must be the teacher. After all, professional activity is replete with factors that provoke emotional burnout: high emotional workload, many a number of emotional factors, the daily and hourly need for empathy, sympathy, responsibility for children and their work. As a result, a teacher becomes a hostage to the situation of emotional burnout, a prisoner of the emotional and professional behavior stereotypes. Among the professional illnesses of teachers there are various neuroses, and psychopathic conditions, in addition to a number of psychosomatic disorders. In this regard, an important part of a psychologist's activity at school is psychotherapeutic work with teachers and educators who implement additional educational projects. The author of this article considers an attempt to implement psychotherapeutic work with teachers in the MAEI "Gymnasium № 23 of Chelyabinsk" within the framework implementation of the model project school "Practices of the Future" in the example of the metasubject area "Urban Studies". The article presents theoretical foundations and guidelines for the use of psychotherapy based on the symboldrama method for work with teachers. The theoretical material is illustrated with the examples from the author's practice. Session protocols were used as data for the study. As a result of the study, the author therefore asserts the conclusion that it is advisable to introduce a psychotherapist or a clinical psychologist into the school specifically for working with the teaching staff.

The article discusses the results of the study of the dynamics of personal growth of students of a departmental university, as well as the need to study this problem in the framework of training personnel for the Federal Penitentiary System. The historical stages of the formation of the term «personal growth» are analyzed. Various approaches to the content of the concept are considered. A modern interpretation of the concept of «Personal growth» is given. It is determined that the professional personal growth of a cadet of a departmental university of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia is a dynamic process of professional development. The article analyzes the statistics of the expelled cadets for 2017-2020, which may be a consequence of the lack of dynamics of personal growth. The article describes a longitudinal study of cadets of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Ryazan. The study used a multi-level personal questionnaire. In the course of the study, data were obtained, the analysis of which can lead to the conclusion that the personal changes that occur in cadets are, on the one hand, the result of growing up, which is facilitated by the conditions of education in the departmental university of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, and, on the other hand, the result of professional formation (mastering their new social role). Individual stimuli of the methodology were also analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that the personal changes that occur with some cadets in the course of training at a specialized university are negative in nature and are similar in symptoms to the «emotional burnout syndrome»

Consecutive completion of specialist and residency training is an important stage in the development of a young physician. Therapeutic activity implies emotional intensity and a great number of factors, causing stress. The syndrome of emotional burnout is not only a result of neuropsychological stress, but also a consequence of uncontrolled stress. The aim of the research was to determine influence of thinking styles, types of thinking and creativity level on factors of cognitive appraisal as predictors of burnout syndrome development in higher education trainees (specialist and postgraduate training programmes). The search of predictors of a burnout syndrome was carried out for a sample of 330 medical students and 50 physicians of the control group. As a result of research it has been revealed that trainees as well as practitioners have a practical style of thinking; postgraduate trainees more often use the combined one, students, figurative; and physicians, sign type of thinking; higher parameters of creativity are marked in postgraduate trainees over physicians. In general, students on specialty and postgraduate training programmes have less difficulty with most of the cognitive assessment factors. The correlation analysis showed as follows: for students, there were direct links of medium strength between the sign type of thinking and “strong emotionsˮ, emotional detachment, and “future perspectiveˮ; for postgraduate trainees, there were direct and inverse links of very weak and weak strength, which could be neglected. However, further factor analysis is required in order to assess the influence of certain factor on the development of emotional burnout syndrome in medical trainees.

Medical workers have become a most affected population group during the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). They were the first to start fighting against an unknown infection and at that stage their psychoemotional state determined not only correct evaluations of a situation but also relevant planning regarding control over it. Our research aim was to reveal risk groups among medical workers regarding developing emotional burnout syndrome and peculiarities of reacting to stress in an emergency epidemic situation. We applied our own author’s anonymous online poll available at Google platform to examine psychoemotional state of medical workers. The poll had a built-in “Scale of perceived stress-10” that included two sub-scales; one of them measured a subjectively perceived level of the situation strain and the other, the amounts of efforts made by medical workers to overcome it. The poll was performed in November–December 2020; overall, 638 medical workers took part in it. They were of different age and sex and had different positions and working experience. We established great variability in individual levels of overstrain as per the stress perception sub-scale (Ех < 0; Ех = –0.59) with more “low” than “high” values as per this sub-scale (Аs > 0; Аs = 5.66). Having analyzed variability of values as per the stress overcoming sub-scale, we revealed that they were homogenous (Ех > 0; Ех = 3.98) with prevailing “high” values (Аs < 0; Аs = –6.97). Medical workers with their working experience being shorter than 5 years turned out to be a risk group with the most destructive reactions to long-term affecting stress factors at work and at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from them, high mental risks were also detected for workers who treated patients with COVID-19 as well as those who had previously had the coronavirus infection. The research allowed obtaining actual data on psychoemotional state of medical workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and determining potential risk groups regarding developing emotional burnout syndrome. We substantiated the necessity to constantly provide psychological trainings for medical workers with their focus on peculiarities of their reacting during the first meeting with destabilizing factors and with further adjustment of educational programs provided for potential risk groups.

Burnout has harmful consequences for individuals and organizations. The study of its antecedents can help us to manage and prevent it. This research aims to explore the role of the effort-reward imbalance (ERI) model as well as the mediation of the working experience in the burnout processes. For this purpose, we have conducted a study in 629 employees from two hospitals in the city of Guayaquil (Ecuador). For this study, the Spanish version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory was applied, as well as the ERI Questionnaire, along with other socio-demographical and occupational variables. A statistical analysis was performed with the obtained data, using structural equation models (SEMs). Results showed that employee effort has a stronger and statistically significant direct effect on emotional burnout, whereas the perception of the obtained reward also had this effect but indirectly in a negative sense, with job experience as a mediating variable.
