The aim of INDICATE was the creation of an innovative interactive software capable of providing designers, urban planners, and companies a “decision support system” in all urban development phases of a city: from the construction of a single building to the design of a master plan. Galliera test site experience was developed following the idea of using the INDICATE tool on Genoa site to understand how the tool can work in the planning stages, as if the preliminary design of the new hospital were not already defined, to understand the optimal solution to select from the energy point of view. The chapter shows how a tool such as INDICATE would have proven absolutely useful to comprehend the different energetic and economic impacts of different options and of different new building shapes. The experience gained with the INDICATE project and BIM implementation within other projects and realities of the authors could also be adopted to develop the implementation of the BIM in another important hospital in Genoa, the Giannina Gaslini Pediatric Hospital.

<p>In this work, we consider a coupled nonlinear viscoelastic Kirchhoff equations with degenerate damping, dispersion and source terms. Under suitable hypothesis, we will prove that when the initial data are large enough (in the energy point of view), the energy grows exponentially and thus so the $ L^{2(p+2)} $-norm.</p>

In this work a Solar Thermal Generator is analysed from an energy point of view. It is a dish collector that is part of a concentrating solar grid system. The analysed plant is used for the generation of low enthalpy thermal energy as an integration to the hot water production plant for some student residences of the University of Calabria (Italy). A thermal model is developed that simulates the behaviour of the plant with the aim of analysing its performance and optimizing the design of its fundamental parts from an energy point of view. The optical model of the solar collector is carried out for a particular external condition. The emissive characteristics of the absorber is determined with the use of a thermal imaging camera. To identify the main parameters that affect the functioning and the thermal balance of the capturing system, a thermo-fluid dynamic analysis is performed. The results show which are the main causes of loss. It is possible to understand the weight of each factor in the energy balance.

Active mobility has been described as a healthy action, it also contributes to diminish climate change and improvethe air quality. Research the advertisements in the roles of mobility from anenvironmental and energy point of view is highly relevant. In this analysis the bicycle appears as an added element, from company campaigns to institutional advertising, and also of specific advertisements where bicycles are directly marketed. This study had as objective to provide a novel analysis of adverting regarding bicycle and mobility. A quantitative and qualitative analysis has been carried out based on diverse publicizing documents spread during the last twenty years. Based on the analysis, the results showed how the role of the bicycle presented in publicity not related about mobility seems to be equal better communication between people, transport, fun and healthy element good and bad practices identified and analyzed in both corporate and institutional campaigns. Also, some bicycle advertisements reuse the slogans for automobiles, focusing on gadgets or design. Based on the analysis, it would be wise to insist on the development of communication guides that focus on the bicycle as an element of the smart city, electric mobility, zero emissions vehicle and healthy transport, both from individual and collectivebeneficial perspective.
