Biological as well as advanced artificial intelligences (AIs) need to decide which goals to pursue. We review nature's solution to the time allocation problem, which is based on a continuously readjusted categorical weighting mechanism we experience introspectively as emotions. One observes phylogenetically that the available number of emotional states increases hand in hand with the cognitive capabilities of animals and that raising levels of intelligence entail ever larger sets of behavioral options. Our ability to experience a multitude of potentially conflicting feelings is in this view not a leftover of a more primitive heritage, but a generic mechanism for attributing values to behavioral options that can not be specified at birth. In this view, emotions are essential for understanding the mind. For concreteness, we propose and discuss a framework which mimics emotions on a functional level. Based on time allocation via emotional stationarity (TAES), emotions are implemented as abstract criteria, such as satisfaction, challenge and boredom, which serve to evaluate activities that have been carried out. The resulting timeline of experienced emotions is compared with the “character” of the agent, which is defined in terms of a preferred distribution of emotional states. The long-term goal of the agent, to align experience with character, is achieved by optimizing the frequency for selecting individual tasks. Upon optimization, the statistics of emotion experience becomes stationary.

Objective To investigate the effects of kinesio taping and cold therapy on pain, edema, range of motion, muscle strength, functional level and quality of life in patients with total knee arthroplasty. Design Randomised controlled trial. Setting A university hospital. Subjects One-hundred patients were included. Intervention Patients were allocated into three groups; control group, kinesio group and cold therapy group. The control group received a standard rehabilitation program. Kinesio taping group received two fan-shaped kinesio taping bands and cold therapy group received cold packs in addition to the standard rehabilitation program. Main measures The outcome measures were pain, edema, range of motion, muscle strength, functional level and quality of life. Participants were assessed at preoperative, discharge and postoperative third month. Results The groups were similar at preoperative. A significant difference was determined in terms of pain in kinesio taping group compared to the control group at the discharge. Cold therapy was efficient in reducing postoperative swelling but kinesio taping had no significant effects on swelling control. There was no difference between the groups in terms of range of motion, muscle strength, functional level and quality of life. The groups were similar in all parameters at the postoperative third month measurements. Conclusion Fan-shaped kinesio taping is an effective technique in terms of postoperative pain relief. Cold therapy is an effective method in terms of edema control. Kinesio taping and cold therapy has no specific beneficial effect on functional level, muscle strength and quality of life compared to control group.

It works on molecular & functional level and uses radiopharmaceuticals in its procedure helping in detection of lesions before morphologic change is evident. Radiopharmaceuticals also known as Radionuclides/ Radioisotopes are unstable atoms of a chemical element, actively emit radiation. These emitted radiations are absorbed by photomultiplier tube and reconstructed by a computer system followed by display of an image. The rationale of writing this article is to understand about Nuclear Medicine and its applications in oral diseases.

Introduction. The article presents the organizational basis for identifying and implementing the special educational needs of students with disabilities in the interdepartmental model of inclusive education. The full implementation of special educational needs (OOP) in the development of vocational education by students with disabilities and disabilities plays a key role for subsequent professional activity. In the inclusive model of the implementation of the OOP of students with disabilities and disabilities, different departmental structures participate, which should effectively interact with each other. Therefore, taking into account the levels of interaction between organizational structures and various activities when identifying and implementing OOP provides a holistic view of the functioning system, and, if necessary, allows for a more targeted impact on the problem links of the model.Materials and Methods. The paper uses the method of content analysis and systematization of scientific and methodological literature, normative legal acts that determine the direction of the organization of the educational environment in the implementation of the OOP of persons with disabilities and disabilities.Results. In the formed interdepartmental model of inclusive education, two levels are considered: the structural level, which is described from the point of view of interaction between state executive authorities and their subordinate organizations, and the functional level, in which the process of forming and implementing the OOP at various stages of the rehabilitation, educational and professional route of students with disabilities and disabilities takes place.Discussion and Conclusions. When considering the procedure for the formation and implementation of the OOP at the functional level of the interdepartmental model, the importance of implementing such processes as career guidance, psychological correction, interaction with non-profit and volunteer organizations, the formation of a professional career, and interaction with the employer is emphasized. The need for unity and interaction of all elements of the model under consideration is emphasized, which will ensure the full implementation of the PLO of persons with disabilities and disabilities and achieve the final result – professional and social integration.

The subject which deals with the study of the human body and its part is called "Rachna Sharir” which forms the basic principle for understanding the concept of Àyurveda. In Ayurveda, the principle of Srotas is like the roots of the tree. The channel that transport nutrition to their destiny is called Srotas. The human body is the collaboration of the Srotas. Srotas take part in the modification, conveyance, absorption and excretion of many substances which are transported through them. The number of Srotas are different by different authorities of Ayurveda. The Srotas have their self Mulasthan or root. Any disturbance in the Srota, at the structural or functional level, leads to the commencement of diseases. Every Srotas have different functions and Dusti Lakshana. Raktavaha Srotas is the Srotas which is related to blood circulation and its formation. Its Mulasthana are Yakrit, Pleeha and Raktavahini- dhamani as mentioned the Ayurvedic literatures. There are many diseases of Raktavaha Srotas, which occurs as a result of Srotas Dusti. The disease of the Raktavahasrotas is Kustha, Visrpa, Pidika, Kamala, Asrgdar, Arubuda, Arsha etc. all the skin diseases, haemolytic disease, gynaecological disorders, metabolic disorders. The diseases of Raktavahasrotas are important for diagnosis and clinical practices. The presentation is aimed to review the concept of Raktavaha Srotas and its importance. Microphysiological systems (MPS) or tissue chips/organs-on-chips are novel <i>in vitro</i> models that emulate human physiology at the most basic functional level. In this review, we discuss various hurdles to widespread adoption of MPS technology focusing on issues from multiple stakeholder sectors, e.g., academic MPS developers, commercial suppliers of platforms, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and regulatory organizations. Broad adoption of MPS technology has thus far been limited by a gap in translation between platform developers, end-users, regulatory agencies, and the pharmaceutical industry. In this brief review, we offer a perspective on the existing barriers and how end-users may help surmount these obstacles to achieve broader adoption of MPS technology.
