Changes in modern technologies have led to a decrease in the role of oil and threaten the well-being of oil-exporting countries. The oil and gas industry is the leading one in the economy of Kazakhstan, and the future of the country depends on its development. The purpose of the presented research is to determine the long-term image of the future oil and gas industry and develop a strategy for the government and national companies in different spheres for actions in conditions of increasing uncertainty. The article presents the materials of an expert survey using the Delphi method (211 industry experts) and a group discussion during a foresight session (75 participants), in which the authors provided methodological support and practical participation. The top nine development trends have been identified, the majority of experts (about 90%) see the future of the industry as the development of unmanned production based on digital management and an increase in environmental requirements (85%). The author’s methodology is based on a pragmatic approach to conducting an industry technological foresight in the medium term. The visionary image of the development of the oil and gas industry is built on the basis of the possibilities of technological breakthroughs. The refined image was formed as a response to the challenges of the external environment on the principle of the “Most Advanced, Yet Acceptable”. The main characteristic of the future of the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan is a deserted production, where the production process is fully automated and robotic. Risks of oil and gas industry development are critical for the entire economy of Kazakhstan, so plans based on industry foresight projections to prevent them are a national priority.

Big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have changed how we live, how we work, and how we organize businesses. Thus, it is no surprise that it is also changing how we manage human resources (HR). For HR leaders, digital transformation is a very hot topic, having the potential to create high value for businesses. First, HR can transform all functions, processes, and systems by leveraging digital platforms and applications. Second, HR can lead business digitalization, enabling a compelling employee experience where a digital culture, a digital workplace, and digital management are welcomed. To provide a more pragmatic perspective, this chapter discusses digitalization of HR with big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and identifies key digital HR strategies and roles needed to sustain the digital transformation. Also, this chapter presents the advantages of digital HR and the basic pitfalls HR faces in the digital transformation of HR.

This study aims to examine changes in enterprise management during the COVID-19 pandemic and develop a universal mechanism for managing digital transformation. Its methodological basis is represented by a terminological analysis of the concepts of automation, digitalisation and digital transformation. Their close consideration enables us to form a conceptual scheme of business digitalisation. In sum, the study process shows that full-fledged and fruitful digital transformation can be achieved through restructuring a company’s business process management system. By comparing the outcomes of using digital platform-based business models, the most promising one was selected for use. Its practical application was studied in Azerbaijan, Russia, and Switzerland using the Network Readiness Index (NRI). The analysis made it possible to form business development strategies for each country reviewed and to develop a universal mechanism for digital transformation management by means of optimisation and modelling. The findings suggest that in pandemic settings, digital enterprise management concentrates on survival, self-learning and cooperation without intermediaries through innovation and the transformation of business processes. The strategies can be used to adopt digital technologies and attract investment. Further research can be directed at detailing the proposed mechanism.

When Covid 19 pandemic started, schools in Turkey, as in many parts of the World, were closed and then emergency remote teaching started. The purpose of this study is to explain the roles and responsibilities of school administrators related to emergency remote teaching after schools were closed. In order to reveal the purpose above, this research was carried out in qualitative research design. 105 school administrators from different regions of Turkey and different school levels participated the study. The data were collected through a Google Drive form with open-ended questions. The collected data were analyzed with content and descriptive analyses. The findings showed that the roles and responsibilities of the school administrators regarding emergency remote teaching included planning the process, starting online classes, opening different social media accounts, managing the online program, solving the adaptation problems of students and teachers, monitoring the actions taken and motivating teachers, students, parents; communication and finally it has been seen that they are in the act of transition to and maintaining digital management. During the Covid 19 pandemic, school administrators have mostly done “communication”. There were also changes in the communication styles of school administrators and social media tools were used effectively. The intensive use of technology in this period has caused changes in management processes and managers have mostly talked about digital management. The exhausting aspects of digital management are expressed as well as the facilitating ones. Since emergency remote teaching is not a common case in the K-12 Turkish education system, the roles and responsibilities of school administrators during such emergency periods have not been studied in national context yet. Therefore, what school administrators did in relation to remote teaching during this Covid 19 period was explored.

Abstract This article examines how digital spaces for political participation by migrants are experienced and governed in South Korea. Drawing on semi-structured interviews conducted in Seoul, South Korea, between April and July 2018, this article argues that migrant participation in digital democratic processes in South Korea is hindered by a fragmented and centralized digital management, which can be linked back to the specific historical-political context in which this digital space was developed.

This research was motivated by the covid pandemic which not only had an impact on the economic sector but also had an impact on people's behavior. In terms of behavior, it is the tendency of people to carry out non-cash transactions, including in terms of zakat management. Zakat with cashless can be applied by building the digitization of zakat. Digital transformation needs to be done, in order to be able to optimize the potential of zakat in Kalimantan. This study aims to determine the extent to which zakat institutions have started digital transformation, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and to determine the digital management gap between zakat institutions in the Kalimantan Region. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The object of research is zakat institutions in Kalimantan. Sample collection method using cluster sampling. Research data in the form of primary data collected through questionnaires. Researchers found that in general zakat institutions have implemented the digitization of zakat management. South Kalimantan applies the best digital management, while the largest digital divide is North Kalimantan.

Abstract The article deals with the problems of speed and timeliness of the development of control actions from digital management systems. Generalization of researches is given. The role of mathematical applications of game theory for the role in the implementation of fog and boundary computations in the paradigm of the development of digital signal processing systems as well as their optimization value are substantiated.A particular generalization is developed and is given from the processing of an encoded signal sequence that demonstrates the operation of a humidity sensor from the viewpoint of bringing it to the basis of an antagonistic game in order to determine the optimal strategy of the device’s behaviour at a given time interval. The practical significance of the study is confirmed by a new approach to the implementation of economic methods for analysis of probabilistic outcomes within the framework of game theory in an algorithm for analysis of a digital signal for a linear comparator of recorded physical quantities in the form of digital levels. The value of such analysis metrics in network-centric distributed systems of the Internet of things in multiplexing environments is given.

This article analyzes the current state of space-cartographic research methods and their application in strategic environmental assessment using the example of processing space-cartographic material and its digitalization in order to form a digital management platform that will further allow developing necessary measures for effective environmental management. The basics are briefly outlined and the possibility of using space-cartographic methods to study the state of geoecosystems for solving highly specialized problems in the context of strategic environmental assessment is considered. On a specific example, the main results of these methods application for assessing the geoecological state of the coal-mining areas of the Kemerovo Oblast in the context of strategic environmental assessment are considered.
