This ethnographic study looks at the Aotearoa New Zealand (NZ) yoga industry, examining the ways that spirituality, secularism, and consumerism influence modern yoga practices. This study argues that people in New Zealand choose yoga practices for different ethical, physical, and social reasons, reflecting their diverse sociocultural values. More specifically, data gathered during fieldwork shows that the Wellington yoga industry contains at least three community subcultures, which I refer to as: 1) moral communities, 2) corporate communities, and 3) brand communities. This means that at the level of local culture, the NZ yoga industry represents a wide range of yoga practices, which in turn reflect the diverse needs, consumer expectations, and imagined ideals of resident populations. Interdisciplinary literature from Religious Studies, Sociology, and Consumer Marketing Research help analyze the complex connections between spirituality as a set of embodied practices, secularisation of yoga as a reflection of corporate culture, and consumerism as a set of desired customer experiences. Yoga in NZ is currently under-researched, making this study a starting point for further inquiry.

E-commerce is deemed as the sale and purchase of goods and services through the internet in exchange for money and data transfer to complete the transactions. E-commerce is at the forefront of transforming marketing strategies, based on new technologies, and facilitates product information and improved decision-making. In this way, marketing strategy increasingly require large amounts of information to better understand client needs, which raises the question of choosing the right marketing strategy to better fit consumer expectations. This literature review aims to shed light on both the recent growth of e-commerce literature and its interplay with consumer marketing strategy. Extant research has examined this change in human interaction due to social network building, mostly through the themes of online marketing and social media marketing, also comprehending issues such as cost efficiency, information quality and trust development towards online shopping. Nevertheless, existing research has not shown in full all the research streams, how they interact with each other and its potential knowledge development. Thus, a literature review on consumer marketing strategy for e-commerce in the last decade is opportune. This paper aims to identify research trends in the field through a Systematic Bibliometric Literature Review (LRSB) of research on marketing strategy for e-commerce. The review includes 66 articles published in the Scopus® database, presenting up-to-date knowledge on the topic. The LRSB results were synthesized across current research subthemes. The following findings are presented: Amidst the current competitive global business environment, companies tend to respond with strategies for e-commerce and online businesses that resort to e-commerce platforms and social networking to better understand consumer needs, facilitate consumer marketing strategy and share innovative information. The originality of the paper relies on its LRSB method, together with extant review of articles that have not been categorized so far.

Abstract Objective: To evaluate messages about infant feeding on breastmilk substitute (BMS) manufacturer websites directed at US caregivers and compare information and portrayals of breast-feeding/breastmilk with that of infant formula (IF) feeding. Design: We conducted a content analysis of US BMS companies’ websites. A codebook was created through an iterative process to identify messages and images about breast-feeding/breastmilk and IF feeding, including benefits or issues associated with each, and direct-to-consumer marketing practices that could discourage breast-feeding. Setting: Data were collected in 2019–2020 and analysed in 2020–2021 for US websites of five IF manufacturers. Participants: The websites of Similac, Enfamil and Gerber, which collectively represent approximately 98 % of the US IF market, and two US organic brands, Earth’s Best and Happy Baby. Results: Websites contained more messages about breast-feeding/breastmilk than IF but were significantly more likely to mention benefits to baby of IF (44 %) than breast-feeding/breastmilk (<26 %), including significantly more statements that IF provides brain, neural and gastrointestinal benefits; 40 % of breast-feeding/breastmilk content was dedicated to breast-feeding problems (e.g. sore nipples). Twice as many screenshots compared IF brands favourably to breastmilk than as superior to other brands. Certain companies displayed images indicating ease of IF feeding and difficulty of breast-feeding. Conclusions: Substantial messaging on BMS manufacturer websites encouraged IF feeding and discouraged breast-feeding. Health professionals should discourage their patients from visiting these websites and the US government should regulate misleading claims. Companies should refrain from providing breast-feeding advice and align their US marketing with the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes.

A társas kapcsolatok mérésére kvalitatív teszt lett alkalmazva, szociometria formájában, mely két gyermekcsoportban lett elvégezve, két különböző magyar óvodában. Ezentúl mélyinterjúk segítették megérteni a családok mindennapi élete során az összetett döntéshozatali folyamatokat. Az interjúkat egy bolti megfigyelés követte. A márkatudatosság eszköz (Forman et al., 2009) korábbi tanulmányára építve a Magyar Márkatudatosság eszköz lett alkalmazva a magyar gyermekek körében. A megnövekedett médiafogyasztás továbbá befolyásolja a gyermek márkatudatosságát. A társas befolyással kapcsolatos végső kutatási kérdést szintén igazoljuk. A jelen disszertáció feltárja a különféle szocializációs ágensek főbb összefüggéseit és azok hatását a gyermekek élelmiszer-fogyasztói viselkedésére a különféle mintákon belül. Marketing literature emphasizes the importance of green product adoption for environmental sustainability. However, consumers’ evaluations of the key factors (for adopting green products) differ in critical ways. Drawing on a consumer–marketing interface, this study uses a binary logit model to investigate how consumers adopt two different types of products (e.g., glass and electronic). The results show that the impacts of the twelve factors behind consumer adoption of green products vary widely between glass and electronic products. Specifically, the analysis identifies four factors (eco-labeling, peer groups, cultural values, and environmental awareness) that have no influence on consumer adoption intentions. It also shows that males are more likely to have positive adoption intentions than females for both glass and electronic products. The authors conclude this paper by discussing the implications of these important findings for research and practice.
