In this article, the website infrastructures of both pro science climate change and climate denier websites are examined. The focus is on the backstage of the website, defined as the use of widgets, ad trackers, beacons, and analytics and not the website content, or what might be described as the front stage. This research addresses questions about the presence and use of trackers within the commodification of user attention, the audience economy. The study concludes that organizations on both sides of the climate issue use similar strategies in monetizing their websites and tracking user behavior. Moreover, the infrastructure that is created among the platforms reflects the major role that big tech plays in developing an interconnected web of tracker technologies. While website transparency may remain an ideal, the study advocates for a responsible approach to website development, one that acknowledges the complexity of the issue within a stronger regulatory environment.

Abstract A university website is a gateway to the institution’s information, products, and services. As websites grow into millions in numbers, it is essential to ensure that the content reflects the needs of its students, staff, and other academic institution as their primary users. This research investigates the development of a new framework that uses machine learning techniques based on webometrics and web usability to classify the web pages of academic websites automatically. The framework briefly introduced how it can help classify web content and eliminate unrelated content and reduce storage space. The findings can also be used to analyse other web-based data to give additional insights that may be beneficial for webometrics studies and identify university website’ characteristics.

BACKGROUND Smoking rates in Canada remain unacceptably high, and cessation rates have stalled in recent years. Online cessation programs, touted for their ability to reach many different populations anytime, have shown promise in their efficacy. The Government of Canada has therefore funded provincial and national smoking cessation websites across the country. However, little is known about the behavior change techniques (BCTs) that underpin the content of these websites, which is key to establishing the quality of the websites, as well as a way forward for evaluation. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study, therefore, was to apply the BCTTv1 taxonomy to Canadian provincial and federal websites and determine which BCTs they use. METHODS A total of 12 government-funded websites across Canada were included for analysis. Using deductive content analysis, and through training in applying the BCTTv1 taxonomy, the website content was coded according to the 93 BCTs across the 16 BCT categories. RESULTS Of the 16 BCT categories, 14 were present within the websites. The most widely represented BCT categories (used in all 12 websites) included: 1. Goals and planning, 3. Social support, 5. Natural consequences, and 11. Regulation. The most saturated BCT categories (those most heavily used) included: 10. Reward and threat, 12. Antecedents, 1. Goals and planning, and 5. Natural consequences. Implementation of BCTs within these categories varied across the sites. CONCLUSIONS This study addresses a critical gap in knowledge around the behavior change techniques that underpin government-funded smoking cessation websites in Canada. The findings offer programmers and researchers with tangible directions for prioritizing and enhancing provincial and national smoking cessation programs, and an evaluation framework to assess smoking cessation outcomes in relation to the web-based content.

Internet users have suffered from phishing attacks for a long time. Attackers deceive users through malicious constructed phishing websites to steal sensitive information, such as bank account numbers, website usernames, and passwords. In recent years, many phishing detection solutions have been proposed, which mainly leverage whitelists or blacklists, website content, or side channel-based techniques. However, with the continuous improvement of phishing technology, current methods have difficulty in achieving effective detection. Hence, in this paper, we propose an effective phishing website detection approach, which we call HinPhish. HinPhish extracts various link relationships from webpages and uses domains and resource objects to construct a heterogeneous information network. HinPhish applies a modified algorithm to leverage the characteristics of different link types in order to calculate the phish-score of the target domain on the webpage. Moreover, HinPhish not only improves the accuracy of detection, but also can increase the phishing cost for attackers. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that HinPhish can achieve an accuracy of 0.9856 and F1-score of 0.9858 .

The primary data taken from interview and the secondary data obtained from library studies. The data analyzed qualitatively and descriptively. The result of the study indicates that protection of the creator's adaptation rights from infringement of e-novels by the website in this case has not been realized because the creator who made the e-novel does not get benefit from the adaptation rights of the novel, namely royalties that are distributed based on an agreement with the website then regarding the legal consequences of using e-novels by websites on the author's adaptation rights, there are two consequences that have been carried out, namely: deletion of website content from www.corongbaca.com, and complaints to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP), but there has been no follow up on the complaint.
