To retain valuable information to the maximum extent and enhance the ability to mine the crude oil trade purchase price demand, this paper proposes a crude oil trade purchase model based on the DEA-Malmquist algorithm. The intranet of the management and control platform shall share the same database, and the intranet shall only allow managers to access and manage the system and only allow all registered users to access and realize data exchange between the intranet and the intranet through two-dimensional code scanning; moreover, due to the resource sharing between the intranet and the intranet for crude oil trade procurement, suppliers and other registered users can immediately grasp the procurement trends of enterprises. Under the DEA-Malmquist algorithm, the uncertainty of procurement management is analyzed by fuzzy theory, and the refined procurement decision model with fuzzy parameters is established. The optimal order time and purchase quantity are determined through the symbol distance and the method of the center of gravity. Experimental results show that the method can effectively retain valuable information in the initial sequence and has better practical application value of material procurement demand intelligent mining. The proposed model obtained the highest accuracy of 98.62%.

Sportswear constitutes an integral part of technical textiles and encases great potential as far as technological and design innovations are concerned. The sports textiles have witnessed tremendous evolution and that too at a much faster pace compared to ready to wear segment. The sports clothing is no longer restricted to sportsperson involved in performance sports or strenuous physical activities. However, there has been a surge for sports apparels and accessories among health conscious, fitness freak and gym enthusiasts. Accordingly, the sportswear industry has witnessed revolutionary advancements in development of different sportswear categories like active wear, leisurewear and athleisure to fulfill the requirements of sportsperson as well as health conscious millennials. The basic and functional requirements of comfort, breathability, light weight, anti-static and anti-odor properties can be engineered into sportswear by optimum selection of fibers, yarns, fabrics and garments’ designing aspects. The chapter will provide an insight on the classification, requirements, design aspects, raw material procurement, innovative and sustainable concepts employed in sportswear to enhance the functionality and comfort characteristics of sportswear. Furthermore, the role of technology and fashion in sportswear transformation is also covered in the last sections of the chapter.

Abstract Packaging problem is still a weak point for Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This is due to the lack of understanding of MSME about the importance of image, quality, and packaging appearance. This research is a solution to increase the competitiveness of local MSME products in the global market with a focus on the study to identify the internal and external factors that affect eco-friendly packaging for MSMEs, formulate a strategy to develop a packaging center, and create a model for environmentally friendly packaging development center for processed food MSME products. The Model of Eco-Friendly Packaging Center is an effort to increase the competitiveness of local MSMEs that provide services as an information center for packaging activities, a packaging material procurement center, an eco-friendly product packaging service center, a graphic design mediator and packaging form design, and branding.

Abstract In November 2018, following the Grenfell Tower tragedy in London, the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) introduced an amendment to the Building Regulations 2010, which outlined stricter rules banning the use of combustible materials defined by the new Building Regulation 7(2). This change had a significant impact since early 2019, on the materials and systems that can be used in the construction sector. In 2020, the global pandemic caused by the diffusion of the COVID-19 virus represented a new challenge for the industry, with implications on programme certainty, material procurement, workforce management, moving towards offsite manufacture. The development of the Trent Brick Panel is set against this historical and social context. The envelope prototype is the opportunity for innovation that follows the turn of events. The offsite manufacturing of glass-reinforced concrete panel, mimicking several finishes, is the result of a design investigation carried out with the market-leading actors: developers, main contractors, subcontractors, engineering consultancies, architects, local authorities and warranty providers. The research aims to give an overview of the design principles, sequence and buildability study, assessed weathering performance according to CWCT Sequence B test and fire performance.

We analyzed the provenance and petrographic characteristics for the rock properties from stone-lined tomb and stone chamber tomb at the Dorim-ri site of the Baekje Kingdom, located in Cheonan. The two tombs consist of 10 kinds of rocks including gneiss, diorite, and andesite. The major rock type is gneiss (54.3%), which composes the main chamber walls of the tombs. Diorite (11.3%) and andesite (10.6%) also make up a large percentage of the rocks, tending to be used to fill the space between the main chamber walls. Thus, the stones appear to have been used according to their shape and the disposition of the site, respectively. Investigation of their provenance, confirmed their source area to be near the Ipjang Reservoir, about 1 km away from the site, and their procurement was probably conducted via a waterway. This result might serve as basic data regarding the material procurement system of ancient tomb culture and for preservation measures for archaeological sites.

Development of the infrastructure is favorable for the growth and economy for any country; however, the issues to manage construction waste due originating from development exercises is a noteworthy reason for concern. The waste from construction contributes to negative repercussions on time, cost, productivity, and environment. Therefore, to reduce these negative and undesirable effects, a detailed review of waste generation and management must be provided. The significant construction waste causes were identified and grouped into seven clusters: construction management, design, construction material procurement, construction material handling, construction site condition, and external factor. A total of 150 questionnaire survey forms were distributed to professionals working on the Riyadh metro project, and only 118 questionnaire forms were received. The collected data from the questionnaire is analyzed using the average index and factor analysis. Analysis identified that ‘Design errors; ‘Accidents; ‘Damage during handling’; ‘Communication problems; ‘Frequent variation orders’ ; ‘Congestion of the site’ and ‘Damage caused by workers’; are highest significant causes in each category respectively. Furthermore, factor analysis was conducted through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) technique to the top fifteen (15) factors and found five factors responsible for the construction waste was identified such as management, workers issues, material related issues, improper handling, and design. The findings from this study are useful for policymakers to develop or/and enhance recommendations on construction waste generation to prevent problems in construction industries. The government or building industry should establish or strengthen regulations that regulates how construction materials should be disposed of.

AbstractThis paper offers a broad and critical overview of current discussions on the potential uses and the characterization of pigments in prehistory, with a special focus on prehistoric rock art. Today, analytical approaches to pigments and paints allow us to go beyond the identification of the elemental and molecular composition of these archaeological remains, to explore also raw material procurement, transformation and use strategies of interest to investigate the technological and socio-cultural practices of prehistoric artists and their change over space and time. The paper also summarizes the palette of prehistoric artists, as well as the techniques and analytical strategies used to date to characterize prehistoric pigments and paints (colours, raw materials, binders and recipes) used in prehistoric rock art.
