Risk management is essential in software project management. It includes activities such as identifying, measuring and monitoring risks. The literature presents different approaches to support software risk management. In particular, the researchers popularly used Bayesian Networks because they can be learned from data or elicited from domain experts. Even though the literature presents many Bayesian networks (BN) for software risk management, none focus on technological risk factors. Given this, this paper presents a BN for managing risks of software projects and the results of a static validation performed through a focus group with eight practitioners. As a result, the practitioners agreed that our proposed to manage technological risks of software projects using BN is valuable and easy to use. Given the successful results, we concluded that the proposed solution is promising.

This chapter discusses how humans envision futures, especially environmental futures, including the climate crisis, the Anthropocene, and mass extinctions. Although the philosophy of technology has traditionally examined the forecasting of technological risk and arguments about whether to embrace or reject the growth of technological mediation of human lives, the field has yet to fully investigate environmental futurisms and imagination. To begin a conversation for the philosophy of technology, philosophies of science fiction narrative discuss the different roles that imagination plays in projecting our concerns with the present onto futures that have not occurred and future generations who are not yet living. One of the key issues that the chapter explores is how science fiction imagination is based on assumptions and values about the history of technological change, including industrialization, capitalism, and colonialism. These issues reveal ways in which technology, future narrative, and climate justice are related.

The study includes assessment of working conditions of personnel, modeling of non-ionizing radiation distribution, methods and means of protection contributing to the effective organization of measures to protect workers. The study analyzes the actual parameters of electromagnetic safety at the facility for transportation and storage of natural gas; a mechanism is proposed for modeling the electromagnetic effect of the transformer on an adjacent work area; the option of minimizing the negative impact of the transformer by shielding is proposed; the effectiveness parameters of the developed shield are estimated.

Every year the relevance of the problems of reducing the technological risk of not only a dangerous facility, but also of the region where it is located, the solution of which will reduce both the risk indicators of emergency situations and the extent of their consequences, is growing more and more. Effective implementation of this direction is possible only with the coordination of the activities of state authorities and the responsibility of the owners of such objects. The paper analyzes the occurrence of emergencies associated with the operation of a gas filling station, developed possible scenarios for their development, calculated the damaging factors with the construction of a "tree of events". Assessment of basic risks is the basis for making objective management decisions that ensure the safe and sustainable development of the economy and territorial entity as a whole.
