Aiming at the problems of high labor intensity and low work efficiency in manual handling of cloth rolls in domestic weaving workshops, this paper designs an automatic cloth drop car device. The device mainly includes a transmission device and a cloth dropping structure. The transmission device includes shafts and other related parts. The cloth dropping mechanism is composed of a frame, rollers and connecting rods. The cooperation between the mechanisms is used to complete a series of movements such as cloth dropping and transfer. And the finite element analysis of the cloth roller hook shows that the cloth drop mechanism is safe and reliable.

Abstract In view of the structural defects of the current belt conveyor roller frame, such as heavy weight and high labor intensity of disassembly and assembly, a new lattice roller frame was designed by changing the structure and profile. On the premise of meeting the work conditions, the weight of the roller frame was reduced by more than 45%, which not only reduced the labor intensity of disassembly and assembly, but also reduced the tonnage and cost of consumables of the belt conveyor, and it has a broad market prospect.

the field of occupational safety. In the coal sector of Russia, these indicators remain unacceptably high. In the structure of professional diseases of the Joint-Stock Company "SUEK", the most frequent are diseases caused by physical overload. It is worth noting that the high severity of labor is characteristic of working professions at mining, construction, mechanical engineering and metallurgy enterprises. The purpose of this study is to analyze occupational diseases in the mining industry and to consider the possibility of using an exo-skeleton in workplaces with high labor intensity.

The article considers the possibility of automating the preparation of production for ship repair. It is indicated that the high labor intensity of repair documentation requires large time expenditures, which, in the limited repair period, it is advisable to reduce. One of the ways to reduce the time can be the introduction of automated systems for preparing repair documentation, both at the preliminary stages of repair, and directly on the "keelblocks". The article presents the structure of the necessary work, taking into account the possible automation of most processes and the features of work at various enterprises. One of the most time – consuming stages-defecation-is highlighted in detail, with a detailed description of its internal structure and information flows, which are typical both for the traditional approach in its organization and with the use of automation tools. Special attention is paid to the accompanying works in case of defects, namely, the formation of the stretch of the outer hull covering, which for vessels older than 25 years, as a rule, has already been lost or is in an unusable condition.

Abstract Objectives To build an understanding of factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding practices (EBF) of lactating mothers which will contribute to the development a behavior change intervention targeting mothers in households with children 0–6 months in Mwenezi and Chiredzi districts of Zimbabwe. Methods A cross sectional study was conducted in May 2018 according to the protocol laid out in United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s “A Practical Guide to Conducting a Barrier Analysis.” It was carried out in four administrative wards in Mwenezi district and six in Chiredzi district. The behavior under study was “Mothers of children ages 0 – 6 months feed them only breast milk.” Structured in-depth interviews were administered to a total of 90 mothers with children aged 0–6 months, targeting 45 doers and 45 non-doers for the behavior, as part of formative research for the development of a social behavior change intervention. Perceived self-efficacy, social-cultural norms, perceived positive-negative consequences, cues for action and community rules and laws were identified. Qualitative analysis included coding, sorting and identifying themes. Results Barriers to EBF included high labor burden, perceived milk insufficiency and influence from mother-in-law. The main enablers were spousal support with chores and information from nurses. Mothers said that other factors that made EBF easier were a desire to have a healthy baby, feeling that breastmilk was enough to satisfy the baby and family support, while breast pain, and needing to give the baby water and other concoctions due to the heat or religious practices made it difficult. Some mothers felt that the negative consequences of breastfeeding were that it is time-consuming, increases workload and increases the risk of HIV transmission. Conclusions High labor burden, limited support with chores, in-law influence and perceived milk insufficiency impeded optimal EBF. Approval from in-laws and spouses was important in EBF. These findings were used to develop a social behavior change program that is currently being implemented in Zimbabwe, targeting pregnant and lactating women and key influencers such as mothers-in-law and spouses. Funding Sources The funding for the barrier analysis study was provided by the European Union through United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The article is devoted to processes and equipment for the production of non-reinforced brushes and reinforced with a contact wire. The shortcomings of the block molding technology of brushes are shown: high labor intensity of the process, low productivity, long duration of operations in the manufacture of brushes, high demand for various devices and equipment for machining, including diamond equipment, and a laborious and inefficient operation for providing brushes with current leads. Finished products receive insufficient density and reduced physical and mechanical properties. As a solution to these problems, the improved patented methods for the manufacture of brushes for electric machines, the device for their pressing, developed by the scientists of SUSU are given, and the phenomena that occur in the implementation of these methods are described.

Purpose of the study: This research aims to analyze the impact of private investment toward social welfare through economic growth and labor absorption in East Java Province of the 2010-2017 periods. Methodology: The type of research used is Explanatory by using the approach of a quantitative method. Data collection used research instruments. Data analysis is quantitative/ statistical with the aim to test the determined hypothesis. Main Findings: The results of the study show that: (1) Private investment is not significantly influential toward economic growth; (2) Private investment is significantly influential toward labor absorption; (3) Economic growth is significantly influential toward labor absorption; (4) Economic growth is not significantly influential toward social welfare; (5) Labor absorption is not significantly influential toward social welfare. Applications of this study: Private Investment unit, Economic Growth, Absorption of Labor and Social welfare is obtained through the Statistics Agency within the period of 2010-2017. Novelty/Originality of this study: The Effect of Economic Growth on Labor Absorption had a significant effect on labor absorption in East Java. It was proven by the t value of 3.800 which means that it was higher than 1.96. Thus, it could be explained that the high labor absorption could be increased through the existence of economic growth in East Java.
