Career orientation has become significant in Vietnamese education recently. To students of theMining Faculty of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, this issue is more important as societychanges its acceptance of mining. The research uses investigation, interview, and observation methods for205 students to see their career orientation. The performance is on the following criteria: 1) Career choicebased on individual interests, abilities, personalities, career values; 2) Understanding of the profession inaspects of quality and capacity, workplace, future working environment, the development trend, etc.; 3)The suitability of the profession with individual interests, abilities, personality, and values of theprofession during the study; 4) Study plans to meet industry requirements; 5) Self-development plans inthe future career. Research results show that the majority of students have the right and appropriate career.These students have clear and positive motivations and goals in the learning process. Only a few studentshave not determined the proper position in the profession due to their emotions, which are not stable andoriented.

Background and Study Aim. Athlete-students continue their athletic careers at a professional level during their education, or many try to pursue alternative career paths. While much attention has been given to Athlete-students' academic progress and graduation rates in the literature, little attention has been paid to their attitudes towards career values and career awareness. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the career awareness and career values of athletes-students according to some demographic variables. Material and Methods. This cross-sectional descriptive-correlational study was performed in the Sports Science Faculty of Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam University of Turkey which forms the universe of the study. A total of 334 (162 female and 172 male) athletes-students who were undergraduate students in the sports sciences faculty of the university participated in the research. The data collection tool in the study "Professional Career Awareness Scale", and "Career Values Scale" was used. T-test and One-Way ANOVA tests were used to perform the differential analysis and Pearson Correlation analysis was used to determine the correlation between variables. Results. According to the results of the research, it was found that scores of the professional career values and career values of the athletes-students were at a moderate level. It was observed that the students' career values dimensions perception scores differed according to their perception scores and gender, department, class, age variables; there was no difference between the variable of being a licensed athlete and the dimensions. Differences were observed between career awareness dimensions, professional development disposition, and department and age variables. There was no difference between career awareness dimensions and gender, status of being a licensed athlete, and class variable. In addition, it is seen that there is a low and moderate relationship between professional career awareness and career values sub-dimensions. Conclusions. According to these results, it can be said that due to the lack of standardized measures of athlete-student career development, career awareness and career values are at a moderate level and their perceptions differ according to their demographic characteristics.

Abstract Background: Considering Voluntary Function (VF), the purpose of the present study was to prognosticate the addiction potential (AP) among some members of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) in Iran. To get the research done, we made use of both correlative and descriptive methods as research methods. Methods: The statistical population of the current study included all youths who have been members of the IRCS. We employed multistage cluster sampling as the sampling method. We recruited 620 active volunteers of the IRCS from 31 province and 175 cities of Iran (48.7% female and 50.1 Male mean age 23.27±3.32, range 14–31 years). Iranian Addiction Potential Scale (IAPS) and Voluntary Function Inventory (VFI) have assisted us in collecting research data. Results: Findings proved that there was a negative significant correlation between the AP and all measurements of VF such as protective enhancement, understanding, career, values, and motives; meaning that the more time youth spent on participating in voluntary activities, the less likely they sought to resort to misusing AP. Findings of the simultaneous-entry multiple regression has proved that volunteerism could prognosticate 15% of changes in the AP as a criterion variable. Conclusions: Due to its positive features, volunteerism played a key role in prognosticating and preventing the AP. Thus, it is incumbent to draw particular attention to this worthy factor.

Introduction While graduate entry nursing programmes are well established in the United Kingdom and the United States of America (USA), they are relatively new to New Zealand and Australia. These programmes have been developed to meet the demands of the health workforce and provide graduates an alternative pathway to becoming a RN. Nursing is viewed as an attractive career option for this growing market of graduate entry students. Objective This study explored the motivations underpinning students choosing a graduate entry MNSc degree over a traditional undergraduate nursing programme. Methods A qualitative, longitudinal single case study design, informed by Yin was used. The first phase of the study is reported here. All students commencing a MNSc degree at the beginning of 2020 across four education providers (3 in New Zealand & 1 in Australia) were eligible to take part in the study. Ten students agreed to take part and undertake an interview. Braun and Clarke’s approach to thematic analysis was used to analyse the interview data. Results Three key themes of motivation were identified from the data: the attraction of nursing; the clarity nursing offers in terms of career progression; and the design of the intensive programme. Conclusions The motivations to choose a MNSc degree were deeply considered, multifaceted, and influenced by nursing role models. Students wanting to engage with a graduate entry MNSc programme did so through a reflective process of assessing their current career status and future career values. Participants in this study believed nursing would provide a secure and sustainable career path, potentially creating new horizons or possibilities beyond their previous work and life experiences. Having insight into what motivates individuals to enrol in such programmes may assist both education providers and the health sector with RN graduate recruitment and graduate entry programme enrolment.
