Graph representation learning aims at learning low-dimension representations for nodes in graphs, and has been proven very useful in several downstream tasks. In this article, we propose a new model, Graph Community Infomax (GCI), that can adversarial learn representations for nodes in attributed networks. Different from other adversarial network embedding models, which would assume that the data follow some prior distributions and generate fake examples, GCI utilizes the community information of networks, using nodes as positive(or real) examples and negative(or fake) examples at the same time. An autoencoder is applied to learn the embedding vectors for nodes and reconstruct the adjacency matrix, and a discriminator is used to maximize the mutual information between nodes and communities. Experiments on several real-world and synthetic networks have shown that GCI outperforms various network embedding methods on community detection tasks.

In the present society, the real apartheid is not between the racial or ethnic groups but between the ability to access and use the new modes and forms of information and communication technology. The gap between the ready availability of technology and those who do not have access to the computers and internet is called the digital divide. The society with high digital divide has social, financial, and political instability. The role of libraries as community information centers in rural and tribal regions will help to reduce the digital divide. The study identifies capacity building of rural people to make use of ICTs is crucial to solve the problem. This chapter focuses on the digital divide in the two tribal regions in Kerala, namely Kannavam and Thavainjal Panchayath, India. The quantitative comparative data of the factors affecting the digital divide, barriers for ICT access, the role of social media usage in reducing the digital divide in both the villages are quantitatively compared in this chapter.

This study aims at exploring the effects of customer’s personal factors and characteristics of brand community on customers’ behaviors in virtual brand community. The data were collected from customers of virtual brand communities in Vietnamese context via a survey. The data show that among the customer’s personal factors, customer ability has the largest impact on customer active behaviors in virtual brand community while customer motivation and opportunity have smaller significant influences on customer behaviors. Regarding the characteristics of virtual brand community, information quality posted in virtual community has the most dramatic effect on customer involvement in active behaviors. System quality is also relevant to customer behaviors, yet virtual interactivity and rewards are unrelated to customer activity involvement. With the findings, research shows useful suggestions for businesses in Vietnam in their efforts to understand the impact of customer behavior in the virtual community.

This study aims to describe the role of Community Information Groups (KIM) in forming agricultural business networks in order to improve the community's economy through empowering local potentials in Karangsono Village, Kanigoro District, Blitar Regency. The approach used is to use the theory of diffusion of innovation which has 4 elements of the innovation diffusion process, namely innovation, communication channels, time and social system. However, researchers are more focused on the process of diffusion of innovations in forming a network using communication channels. This study will explain the innovations of KIM members which will be disseminated to the public using qualitative descriptive methods. This research data collection through interviews and field observations. The results of this study are the diffusion of innovation in forming business networks through communication channels that have been created by KIM members. So that the innovation process that has been disseminated can be accepted by the community and can change the community to be more prosperous.

In June 1993, the National Library of Medicine (NLM) joined with the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Office of AIDS Research (OAR), and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to host a conference at a pivotal time in the HIV/AIDS epidemic to understand better the information needs of five major constituency groups: clinical researchers; clinical providers; news media and the public; patients; and the affected community. NLM’s director, Donald A.B. Lindberg M.D., and staff sought to identify new program possibilities benefitting from the input of current and potential users of the Library’s information services. Conference recommendations led to a key NLM policy change providing cost-free access to all AIDS data, and the establishment of the HIV/AIDS community information outreach program (ACIOP), which enabled new partnerships with local community-based organizations serving the affected community. Uniquely funded and long running, more than 300 ACIOP projects have been supported to-date. These projects have improved awareness and use of national HIV/AIDS information resources; enhanced information seeking skills; developed locally generated information resources; and enhanced the capacity of community-based organizations to use new information and computer technologies providing access to essential information resources and services.

This study explores the interactive characteristics of the public, referencing existing data mining methods. This research attempts to develop a community data mining and integration technology to investigate the trends of global retail chain brands. Using social media mining and ensemble learning, it examines key image cues to highlight the various reasons motivating participation by fans. Further, it expands the discussion on image and marketing cues to explore how various social brands induce public participation and the evaluation of information efficiency. This study integrates random decision forests, extreme gradient boost, and adaboost for statistical verification. From 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2019, the studied brands published a total of 25,538 posts. The study combines community information and participation in its research framework. The samples are divided into three categories: retail food brand, retail home improvement brand, and retail warehouse club brand. This research draws on brand image and information cue theory to design the theoretical framework, and then uses behavior response factors for the theoretical integration. This study contributes a model that classifies brand community posts and mines related data to analyze public needs and preferences. More specifically, it proposes a framework with supervised and ensemble learning to classify information users′ behavioral characteristics.

Abstract Brain tumors are a major shock at diagnosis for patients and their families, and the journey is hectic, impacted in various and complex ways, including acute and chronic episodes. The Japan Brain Tumor Alliance is a non-profit organisation, established in 2006 to support patients and their families. As our key activity, JBTA offers nation-wide patient support through patient-gathering meetings with and without health care professionals to openly share needs, issues and concerns, partly summarized and shared in the scientific field (Gatellier, 2021, OT Journal, vol 55 no.3, 257–259; Gatellier, 2021, MASCC Annual Meeting). JBTA actively collaborates with the International Brain Tumor Alliance, with recent outcome of an international survey featuring the brain-tumor patient and caregiver experience during COVID-19 pandemic (Voisin et al., 2020, Neuro-oncology advances, 2(1), vdaa104). As part of collaboration with healthcare professionals in 2020–21, JBTA achievements include the review of clinical guidelines (as part of Patient and Public Involvement activity), information-sharing events with the Japan Clinical Oncology Group and the seminar with a group including occupational therapists. In addition, to highlight patients’ needs and priorities to the neuro-oncology community, since March 2020, JBTA shares the Japanese translation of the monthly IBTA e-newsletter broadcasting the latest and most relevant scientific, community information and brain tumor-related events around the world to healthcare professionals and brain tumor patients and families in Japan. These enlightening events place JBTA in an ideal position to lead research in the direction most meaningful to brain tumor patients.

In the light of the information given by the tablets found in Kültepe Kaniş, there are small communities living around Kızılırmak in central Anatolia with a government called a kingdom (rubaum). Living conditions, social and commercial relations, economic conditions of this colony community information is obtained through written agreements and commercial documents made with Assyrian merchants who came to the region at the beginning of the 2nd millennium BC. Mutual mineral exchange in commercial relations, which is very important for the economy, and the fact that the values of the mines are very different from each other in this exchange are discussed. Mines formed the basis of the economy of these colonial cities. In addition, a precious metal called amutum was used for money value. In this study, it has been tried to see the economic structure of the Kanish people, meeting their primary needs and how they did this, by examining some tablets. In order to reach the economic structure of that period, the studies of scientists who worked on the tablets for many years and translated them into today's Turkish were used.

Mental stress is showing harmfulness to human health leads abnormal stress in chronology with this may lose our mental health for proactive care. With recognizable pieces of proof of web-based media, individuals cannot share their everyday exercises and collaborate with companions via web-based media stages, making it happing to use online informal community information for stress identification. We find that users stress state is closely associated with thereupon of his/her friends in social media, which we employ a large-scale dataset from real-world social platforms to systematically study the relationship between users’ stress states and social interactions. We first define a gaggle of stress-related comments, images, and social attributes from various aspects, then proposed a plot. Research results saying that the proposed model can improve the detection performance. With the help of enumeration, we build an internet site for the users to spot their stress rate level and may check other related activities.
