Abstract We perform a lattice QCD calculation of the $\chi_{c0} \rightarrow 2\gamma$ decay width using a model-independent method which does not require a momentum extrapolation of the corresponding off-shell form factors. The simulation is performed on ensembles of $N_f=2$ twisted mass lattice QCD gauge configurations with three different lattice spacings. After a continuum extrapolation, the decay width is obtained to be $\Gamma_{\gamma\gamma}(\chi_{c0})=3.65(83)_{\mathrm{stat}}(21)_{\mathrm{lat.syst}}(66)_{\mathrm{syst}}\, \textrm{keV}$. Albeit this large statistical error, our result is compatible with the experimental results within 1.3$\sigma$. Potential improvements of the lattice calculation in the future are also discussed. Abstract Perspectival realists often appeal to the methodology of science to secure a realist account of the retention and continued success of scientific claims through the progress of science (e.g. Massimi, 2016). However, in the context of modern physics, the retention and continued success of scientific claims is typically only definable within a mathematical framework. In this paper, I argue that this concern leaves the perspectivist open to Cassirer’s (1910) neo-Kantian critique of the applicability of mathematics in the natural sciences. To support this criticism, I present a case study on the conservation of energy in modern physics.

Abstract We discuss a linear seesaw model with as minimum field content as possible, introducing a modular $S_4$ with the help of gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetries. Due to rank two neutrino mass matrix, we have a vanishing neutrino mass eigenvalue, and only the normal mass hierarchy of neutrinos is favored through the modular $S_4$ symmetry. In our numerical $\Delta \chi^2$ analysis, we especially find rather sharp prediction on sum of neutrino masses to be around $60$ meV in addition to the other predictions. Transdisciplinary is a paradigm based on the integration and balance of opposite points of view (dualities). This paper methodology involves transdisciplinarity applied to problem solutions, mainly from 1) Plato philosophy; 2) Taoist principle of duality Yin Yang, 3) Jungian psychology, so connected to modern physics and 4) Weil, Leloup and Crema psychological vision of holistic transdisciplinarity. Our findings in this regard involves Figure 11 for Jungian functions and Figure 12 model for problem solving through duality plus four elements. The objective is to create a comprehensive understanding of reality through Plato and Taoist philosophies, Alchemical tradition and Jungian psychology improved by the MBTI system, as tools for problem solving. Understanding the psychological types types to comprehend on how to achieve the best of each one, due to their innate strengths and capacities, so that a synergy of results can be created within the relationships. The MBTI serves both i) for self-knowledge, to make his own self-management on a day-to-day life, and ii) to understand how other people work psychologically, so that a synergy can be created in the process of relationships. The applied transdisciplinary approach is based on the principles of i) duality – interaction and integration of opposites, specially the analytical and synthetic methods and ii) four elements - rationality, feasibility, reasonableness and meaning. However, it is not a simplistic or a magical-vitalistic approach as it may seem to rationalists at first, as far as modern physics is concerned. The holistic view of reality, including holology (the study of the whole) and holopraxis (the praxis of the whole) can´t be confused with political ideology, something that happens very frequently to scientificists, who consider themselves "exempt" and “impartial”. Finally, the core idea is to promote transformation of the culture and personal behavior, connected to reasonableness and meaning, emotional and intuitive intelligences, mainly because of psychological sustainability and mental health.

The high-intensity heavy ion accelerator facility is a next-generation advanced heavy-ion accelerator facility built by the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The RFQ is designed to provide a continuous wave beam and 2[Formula: see text]mA pulse beam with high-quality longitudinal beam distribution for the injection linear accelerator. Two different designs of aiming to suppress the longitudinal emittance were studied, and the optimized scheme which composed of a three-harmonic pre-buncher and an RFQ accelerator with small longitudinal acceptance was chosen. More emphasis is put on the section between pre-buncher and RFQ, where the space charge effect becomes severe with bunched beam. The optimal design and the analysis are presented in this paper.

Boris Pasternak argued that no one understood that in his main novel a certain philosophy was set forth, the essence of which was that the true world was closed to us by a swaying curtain. Other poets clearly saw the same images of the world fabric, woven from threads, which closes true being from us. There is a similar superstring theory in modern physics. The search for this idea in an explicit form in the writer’s works ended in a negative result. Then the subject of analysis was literary criticism, which dealt with the curtain, fabric and threads mentioned in the novel or told about its cryptosemantics. The metaphorical change in the properties of things and the blurring of their boundaries was considered a manifestation of their unity in the other world. Critics tried to consider the idea of ??Pasternak in the contest of the Plato“s cave as a symbol of the division of the world into the illusory and true ones, etc. However, none of the critics could find in the novel the hidden content the novel“s author spoke about. Instead, critics saw in the novel such meanings and images that were completely absent in it. The article concludes that if the hidden meaning does exist in the novel, it is not explicated in any way. At the same time, it may be assumed that the idea of ??the threads of the world came to Pasternak, as it was with other poets, in the his poiesis insight of clairvoyance. At the same time, the article concluded that in Pasternak”s case the real, material world as a curtain-world disappears by itself due to the destructive action of the revolution. In addition to the world of things, in the war, from the lack of food, frosts and epidemics, the heroes of the novel and Zhivago himself die. The main character from «Zhivago» (Аlive) gradually turned into the “Mertvago” (Unalive), what allows Me author to consider the novel a guilty verdict of social revolution. Of course, for the apologists of the «Russian World» it would be tempting to interpret the fall of the curtain (the disappearance of the world of things) as opening to Russians by catharsis the true Divine World, but when noble people disappeared and Ham began to rule everywhere, in Russia there was no one who would and could cognize this Divine World.

The article shows that at the present time in physics the conditions are ripe for a decisive revision of the prevailing ideas about physical reality. To solve this problem, metaphysical principles must be considered. Their manifestations in modern physics are shown in the presence of three paradigms. It has been demonstrated that this is most fully implemented within the framework of the relational paradigm, which has long been in the shadows. The results already obtained within its framework are shown and it is noted that the development of this direction most closely corresponds to materialist philosophy.

The further development of the five-dimensional field theory is considered and it is shown that it contains even more new and very promising possibilities that relate to the influence of the dimension of our Universe and its geometry on the physical and geometric characteristics available in it, as well as the identification of the connection between the field equations of this theory and various old and new problems of modern physics, astrophysics and cosmology.

Electromagnetic radiation can cause an electron to be further broken down, because the radiated photons have taken away a part of the static mass that originally belonged to the electron. This article makes use of the experimental data approved by HLS800MeV electron storage ring, and reasonably calculates that the static mass of each electron in the ring is roughly in the range of 1.16×10-33 to 3.23×10-35 (kg). Once a consensus can be reached on this, it will mean the end of the century-long wandering of modern physics. If tracing its root, the problem has lain in relying solely on experimental data, like a blind person crossing the river by feeling for stones, difficult to grasp the correct research direction. So it is pointed out that based on the continuities of the development among truths and objective things are more reliable than relying solely on experimental data. Because the experimental data are not eternal, but any truth must be eternal. So once the two are combined with each other, as if the blind person has regained his vision again. That is, only based on the concepts and methods introduced in this article "The theory on thing's limits", the correct research direction can be ensured.

Abstract We consider a model with multi-charged particles including vector-like fermions and a charged scalar under a local $U(1)_{\mu - \tau}$ symmetry. We search for allowed parameter region explaining muon anomalous magnetic moment (muon $g-2$) and $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^-$ anomalies, satisfying constraints from the lepton flavor violations, $Z$ boson decays, meson anti-meson mixing and collider experiments. Carrying out numerical analysis, we explore the typical size of the muon $g-2$ and Wilson coefficients to explain $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^-$ anomalies in our model when all other experimental constraints are satisfied. We then discuss the collider physics of the multicharged vectorlike fermions, considering some benchmark points in the allowed parameter space.
