The article, based on a systematic approach, highlights the author's thematic groups of English-language terminological units of the specialized  language of higher education in the United States. An attempt has been made to comprehend on the scholarly basis the correlation between the concepts of “thematic group” and “lexical-semantic group”. It is noted that the thematic classification of lexical units, which is the most common way of combining words, is bgrounded on the internal connections of objects and phenomena of reality, and is determined by the subject-logical features and common functional purpose of these units. Thematic groups of one or another branch terminological system can contain several nuclear lexical-semantic groups, and their units are characterized by a clear differentiation of features. It is emphasized that in interpreting the concept of thematic group, modern linguistics aims to determine the ways and features of semantic development (extralinguistic aspects) not of individual words, but of groups of lexems that have one semantic orientation. A thematic group is a group of words that includes words selected and combined on the basis of common subject-logical connections, and these words are the same parts of speech; or words from other parts of speech, needed to reveal a common theme. In the process of systematic study of English terminology of the U. S. higher education at the conceptual level, the terms are distributed by the author in a certain order – built subject-matter classification, which results in combining terms into thematic groups. Thematic classification involves a clear, logically sound organization of terminological vocabulary. The classification of the terminology of American higher education is based on determining its content, establishing the scope of semantics of each term, its concept that is combined with other terminological units in a single terminology system of the U. S. higher education.

PurposeBased on the concepts confined in Ajzen's theory of planned behavior (TPB), this study investigates users' attitudes towards adoption of a blockchain-based framework in the esports industry that proposes a scheme of rewarding stakeholders for their invested attention along with blockchain technology's inherent protocols.Design/methodology/approachThe present study uses RStudio (Version 1.3.1093) package RedditExtractoR for scraping and analysis of the discussion referring to the keyword “Verasity” on the Reddit website. The final corpus of 1,913 user comments was considered for the study. Sentiment analysis was initially conducted to explore the semantic orientation of the users concerning Verasity. This was followed by generalized equation modeling to analyze the impact of social media attributed to the users' commenting behavior.FindingsThe study found that Redditors, in general, have a positive attitude towards the adoption of a blockchain-based esports platform. This was validated through the empirical findings. The regression model states that there is a significant positive impact of the positivity in the comments over the Redditors' attitude and in their commenting behavior.Originality/valueThis study offers a new understanding of key contributing attributes of sentiment formation over social media concerning a blockchain-based esports framework. The study also establishes an empirical relationship between the social media attributes and the commenting behavior of Redditors. Finally, the current study offers valuable insights into social media engagements and the selection of highly influential Redditors for practicing marketing managers.

PurposeThe paper aims to explore the influence of cybersecurity on the semantic orientation of the sports consumers. Focusing on both sport and esports, this study finds the social media factors contributing in the sentiment formation and commenting behavior on Twitter and proposes a scheme for attitude modulation through identification of highly engaged nano-influencers.Design/methodology/approachExperimental design was used as the research methodology. Data mining from Twitter using RStudio software was conducted using the keyword “cybersecurity” during the time of pandemic. Final corpus of 31,891 tweets were considered for the study. Initial sentiment analysis has been conducted to explore the consumer's emotional inclination towards cybersecurity. Further through generalized equation modeling the impact of social media attributes over the consumer's posting behavior has been analyzed.FindingsThe research findings reveal that users are inherently positive towards cybersecurity adoption in sports and the factors such as number of tweets, number of positive words contained in these tweets and the authenticity of the information source boost the pre-established tweeting behavior. However, the influx of information from non-organizational sources such as trending topics and discussions have negative impact over the users.Originality/valueThis study is first to explore the role of nano-influencers as communication moderators over digital social platforms. This study offers a new understanding of key contributing attributes of sentiments formation over social media and offers a scheme of selection of nano-influencers to modulate the pre-established sentiments of the users. Finally, the current study offers valuable insights into social media engagements and selection of nano-influencers for practicing marketing managers.

In this article, we tackle the issue of sentiment analysis in three Maghrebi dialects used in social networks. More precisely, we are interested by analysing sentiments in Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian corpora. To do this, we built automatically three lexicons of sentiments, one for each dialect. Each lexicon is composed of words with their polarities, a dialect word could be written in Arabic or in Latin scripts. These lexicons may include French or English words as well as words in Arabic dialect and standard Arabic. The semantic orientation of a word represented by an embedding vector is determined automatically by calculating its distance with several embedding seed words. The embedding vectors are trained on three large corpora collected from YouTube. The proposed approach is evaluated by using few existing annotated corpora in Tunisian and Moroccan dialects. For the Algerian dialect, in addition to a small corpus we found in the literature, we collected and annotated one composed of 10k comments extracted from Youtube. This corpus represents a valuable resource which is proposed for free.

The article examines various aspects of non-verbal communication in the educational process from the perspective of a sense-centered approach. The influence of non-verbal communication on the quality of teaching and interaction with students was analyzed. It was revealed that non-verbal communication has a culturological peculiarity. The types of non-verbal communication are highlighted, with the help of which it is possible to start the process of transaction of meanings or to give a personal-semantic orientation to learning.

The article is dedicated to the assessment of the personal position of parents raising children with disabilities. Studying them becomes especially important if the family chooses inclusive education for their children. The article presents a comparative analysis of the personal positions of parents whose schoolchildren have mild or severe forms of developmental disorders. To obtain reliable data, a social portrait of the families participating in the study was compiled (the education of the parents, their occupation, the socioeconomic status of the family, etc.) was assessed. The value-semantic orientation of the parents, being one of the components of the personal position, was characterized. Their assessment was carried out according to such criteria as adequacy and balance (harmony). The following value-semantic orientation of the parents was revealed: adequate balanced, insufficiently adequate, unbalanced, inadequate. Depending on the identified orientation, recommendations were made for accompanying families raising children with disabilities in general educational organizations.
