<p>Social media such as Facebook has become an essential strategic tool for organisations. Facebook is a platform where a large pool of consumers would use to make purchase decisions. Organisations are designing and maintaining their Facebook account to expand their social networks and build relationships with the public. This research explains current situations regarding the influence of online social media technology with reference to Facebook on employees' work performance in Malaysia. The problem statement focuses on both the public and private sectors in Malaysia. Additionally, various literature was reviewed, indicating the relationship between social media (usage at work, sociability, and trust) and work performance. The mediating role of the organisational framework on the relationship between online social media technology (Facebook) and work performance was also scrutinised to formulate the research hypothesis. The findings of this research established a significant relationship between online social media (Facebook) and organisational framework and work performance. Conclusively, the hypothesis depicted that the organisational framework fully mediates the relationship between online social media technology (Facebook) and employees' work performance in public and private sectors in Malaysia. This study also verifies that both the public and private sector organisations that incorporate Facebook can enhance networking and information sharing, influencing employees' work performance, creating a stable organisational framework, generating value for customers, and improving employee relationships with all stakeholders. In conclusion, work performance can be heightened by a well planned and structured organisational framework. Additionally, through a well planned and implemented online social media technology such as Facebook, an organisation would have a smooth operating organisational framework and a workforce with enhanced performance.</p><p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0854/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>

Social media among Politeknik Negeri Bandung (Polban) engineering students is commonly used in carrying out daily activities. It mostly related to students’s social activities. Social media among engineering students has not been aimed at supporting economic value activites such as entrepreneurship. In fact, students have been taken information technology and entrepereneurship courses during their study. This research aims to reveal the extent to which the adoption of social media technology by Polban engineering students affect on entrepreneurial intention. This research used a quantitaive approach by distributing 317 questionaires to Polban engineering students who met the criteria. Data were processed using multiple regression methods to see the influence’s size of adoption of social media technology on entrepreneurial intentions. The result of this research provide an up-to-date overview of effect of adoption of secial media technology in increasing the growth of entrepreneurial intention among Polban engineering students.

Abstrak – Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi dan pemanfaatan media sosial usaha kecil dan menegah untuk bertahan di tengah pandemi covid-19. Dalam melaksanakan penelitian ini metode jenis pendekatan yang digunakan dengan penelitian deskriptif pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa resto meatandmeet di tengah pandemi covid-19 ini berusaha dengan berbagai cara meatandmeet sangat kreatif dan inovatif teknologi yang digunakan sangat menarik  dengan memanfaatkan teknologi media sosial melalui Instagram di mana akun Instagram meatandmeet memiliki banyak pengikut dan banyak hasil- hasil dari konsumen sebelumnya yaitu testimoni dari tiga menu yang ditawarkan pada resto meatandmeet. Upaya lain yang dilakukan resto meatandmeet adalah memberikan home service delivery dimana konsumen diberikan kemudahan dalam melakukan pemesanan, konsumen tidak harus memikirkan peralatan untuk bisa berkumpul menikmati makanan yang sedang tren saat ini yaitu resto meatandmeet menawarkan berbagai pilihan menu terutama yang paling diminati adalah menu paket BBQ dan Shabu  yang komplit. Di dalam paket menu paket BBQ dan Shabu tersebut di keterangan hanya untuk empat orang saja namun setelah melakukan pemesanan menu tersebut bisa dinikmati untuk lebih dari sepuluh orang maka harga yang ditawarkan pada resto meatandmeet sangat relatif murah dan tetap dapat  menikmati masakan menu BBQ dan shabu tanpa harus datang ke resto jadi bisa menghindari kumpulan banyak orang dan mengikuti peraturan pemerintah untuk berdiam diri dirumah namun tetap bisa menikmati masakan BBQ dan shabu dirumah. Abstract - The purpose of this study was to determine the strategies and use of social and medium media to survive the covid-19 pandemic. In carrying out this research, the type of approach used is descriptive qualitative research. The results obtained from this study are that the meatandmeet restaurant in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic is trying in various ways. Meatandmeet is very creative and innovative. The technology used is very attractive by utilizing social media technology through instgrams where the meatandmeet instgram account has many followers and many results. - The results of previous consumers are testimonials from the three menus offered at the Meatandmeet Restaurant. Another effort made by the meatandmeet restaurant is to provide home service delivery where consumers are given an order, consumers do not have to judge the equipment to gather to enjoy the food that is currently trending, namely the meatandmeet restaurant offers a variety of menu options, especially the most popular ones are the BBQ and Shabu package menus which Complete. In the menu package, the BBQ and Shabu package is mentioned only for four people but after ordering the menu it can be enjoyed by more than ten people, the price offered at the meatandmeet restaurant is very relatively cheap and you can still enjoy BBQ and shabu menu dishes without having to. come to the restaurant so you can avoid crowds of people and follow government regulations to stay at home but still enjoy BBQ and shabu dishes at home.

This study aims to analyze the resistance to adoption of social media technology in SMEs in Yogyakarta. This research was conducted through a survey of respondents in SMEs using a questionnaire. The number of respondents in this study was 150 SMEs. Data analyser using SEM-PLS. The results of this study indicate that adoption resistance is influenced by manager support, organizational readiness and knowledge of SME managers. Manager support is the most substantial determining factor for SMEs in adopting the technology. The contribution of this research is to add theoretical support to adoption resistance. The resistance to social media adoption in SMEs is unique because the adoption of social media technology is needed during difficult times such as during the Covid-19 pandemic, but many SMEs do not want to adopt it.

The practice of reading both for academic purposes and pleasure is largely agreed to have diminished over the years mainly because of advancements in social media technology. This paper thus examined the reading habits in general among English major students at Sherubtse College, Royal University of Bhutan. For data collection, a questionnaire with nine items was designed and administered to 106 English major students with gender and the year of study as the moderating variables. The questionnaire investigated the students’ general attitudes towards reading, the reasons they read, the average time they spend on reading, the challenges they faced in reading, and the effects of social media on their reading habits. In addition, informal interviews were conducted to verify and triangulate the responses received from the participants. Both these quantitative and qualitative data revealed interesting insights into the reading habits of the students in question. The results are discussed and recommendations provided at the end.

This research aimed to study factor analysis of smart social media technology to promote professional learning communities for teachers.   The sample included 900 teachers in basic education, selected by Simple   Random Sampling method. The sample group was divided for exploratory   factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), 450 each. Research tool was a questionnaire with 5 levels of rating scale. Data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The results of the study revealed that: 1. Exploratory factor analysis of smart social media technology to promote professional learning communities for teachers consisted of 7 components: 1) professional learning communities for teacher, 2) cloud technology, 3) augmented reality, 4) internet of thing, 5) social  technology, 6) data analytics technology, and 7) mobile technology and 2. Confirmatory factor analysis of smart social media technology to promote  professional learning communities for teachers (SMPLC) found that the model was consistent with the empirical data ( =6.17, df=6, p=0.405).

PurposeSocial media technology use has elicited an increased interest among academicians and researchers worldwide. The present study examines the latent constructs, such as social media technology use (SMTU), innovation capability (IC), entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and innovation performance (IP), which have not been studied by researchers in the past. The purpose of the study is to examine the impact of SMTU and IC on EO and highlight the impact of EO on IP.Design/methodology/approachA questionnaire survey was conducted to collect data from 164 entrepreneurs, which included CEO/owners, managers or founders of start-up companies from India. The data were analysed with the structural equation model technique.FindingsThe results demonstrate that the model proposed in this study supports all the hypotheses of SMTU, IC, EO and IP. The results of this study provide evidence for the importance of SMTU as a crucial factor that came out from the analysis of Indian entrepreneurs which reiterates the point that the user-generated content could be very important. The results of the research show that entrepreneurs value and are looking forward to using social media for getting individual reviews from consumers about their marketing campaigns, product development and innovation.Practical implicationsAt the level of practice there are significant implications for decision-makers in start-up firms to become more attuned to how SMTU can significantly add importance to the customer experience. This study would also help managers and policymakers in understanding the importance of SMTU when seeking to improve the performance of the organizations.Originality/valueOwing to the increasingly collaborative innovation environment in entrepreneurship, the authors draw the attention of managers to the need of SMTU for innovation actions and provide a logical framework to guide action for organizational analysis.
