Creating and maintaining an imaginary bond between the journalist and readers is a communicational strategy of the written sports news discourse. Since news discourse is monologal, it has specific communicational constraints that it seeks to overcome, and the lack of direct contact between the authors and their readers is a key hurdle to cross. Additionally, sport has a notable cohesive function, and as such produces a sense of a sports community even when taken as a news subject. The imaginary bond is therefore a strategy for overcoming the discursive gap between the journalist and their readers, while at the same time reinforcing the impression of community that the subject of sports draws on. In the sports news discourse this strategy is translated through different linguistic means, such as conversational elements. Based on selected articles from the French written sports news, a qualitative analysis of texts enabled us to observe the linguistic means through which the imitation of conversation contributes to the discursive strategy of bonding. The analysis is focused on informal and interactive conversational features. It shows that such conversationalization is particularly apparent in the informal character of the discourse on the lexical and discursive levels. This adds to the seeming informality of the communicational situation, and therefore to the readers’ sense of an imaginary sports community. On the syntactic level this is reinforced by interactional elements such as rhetorical questions and other interrogatives that address the reader as an interlocutor and echo the dynamics of a dialogue. Both conversational aspects, as used in the French sports news discourse, contribute to a sense of informal atmosphere and community bond among sports enthusiasts.

Purpose: In the research, it is aimed to examine the opinions of the fans about the European Super League and its effects, which were presented to the public on April 18, 2021.                                                   Method: Case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study group of the research was determined by purposive sampling method. The study group consists of 11 male participants from different professions, who follow the UEFA Champions League organization every competition week and sports news at least 4 days a week and are supporters of a football team. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview form and subjected to content analysis.                                                                                             Results: As a result of the findings, the participants stated that although there are factors that threaten the popularity of football, it is at the top among sports branches. In addition, it was stated that it would be more appropriate for football to progress with beneficial additions rather than radical changes. The majority of the participants approached the project negatively on the grounds that the founders of the European Super League gave priority to their financial interests and that it was not suitable for the sports culture adopted. The participants stated that UEFA's reactions in this process were not convincing, and that the fans' protest actions against the project were justified. The new Champions League format and Financial Fair Play were discussed in the context of the research topic and the participants stated that these two concepts were useful but structurally lacking.                         Conclusions: As a result, the process and the findings show that; It will be the most accurate and efficient strategy for both football clubs and UEFA to give priority to the opinions of the fans in the actions to be taken. Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.

Acronyms, songs, advertisements, movies, television series, comic strips, memes or even sports news: Traces of Christian symbols, sayings, or references can be found in numerous places and contexts. But most children and adolescents exposed to religious education in German schools, only know these contemporary references without being aware of their origins. So one of the most challenging tasks in religious education is enabling learners to decode those references and adaptations. Being able to decode the occurring transformations of religion within these daily life phenomena is the prerequisite for being able to make an informed decision about the underlying concepts and religious ideas.  This article provides an example of how to alternatively address the quite abstract teaching of dyophysitism by using snippets of the famous animated sitcom „The Simpsons“.

The heterogeneity and the increasing amount of the news published on the web create challenges in accessing them. In the authors' previous studies, they introduced a semantic web-based sports news aggregation system called BKSport, which manages to generate metadata for every news item. Providing an intuitive and expressive way to retrieve information and exploiting the advantages of semantic search technique is within their consideration. In this paper, they propose a method to transform natural language questions into SPARQL queries, which could be applied to existing semantic data. This method is mainly based on the following tasks: the construction of a semantic model representing a question, detection of ontology vocabularies and knowledge base elements in question, and their mapping to generate a query. Experiments are performed on a set of questions belonging to various categories, and the results show that the proposed method provides high precision.

Introduction. Cognitive linguistics believes that metaphor is a way of human thinking and a powerful tool for cognition. In other words, the theory of cognitive metaphor believes that metaphor is not only a rhetorical technique, but also a way of human cognition, which affects the form of human thinking. In news headlines, metaphors are even more commonly used. In the current rapid development of new media, the first visual impact of news headlines on the audience plays a vital role in the spread of articles and the amount of reading. Based on the theoretical framework of conceptual metaphor, this work compares the war metaphors in sports news headlines of Russian and Chinese of new media, attempting to analyze the similarities and differences in the use of metaphors, which helps illuminate the complex, dynamic, and nuanced functions of metaphor in cognition in sports news headlines, and in headlines of new media in particular. Material and methods. Since the 21st century, especially in the past 10 years, with the popularization of computers and the Internet, coupled with the technical support of 5G communications, new media has developed, popularized and improved rapidly.
