Abstract: There is no shortage of artworks that have integrated the spoken word, writing or translation into their aesthetic form, although it is rare for language to be the subject of the works. This is the case of several works made during the 1990s in former colonies of Southeast Asia. The works call into question the cultural heritage that words and writing systems constitute. From their respective contexts, Vietnam and Singapore, two artists offer an incisive commentary on the politicized uses of vernacular languages and literacy. Performance pieces by artists Truong Tan and Amanda Heng contribute new ways of understanding the functioning of language, and the violence that can be exerted through linguistic colonization.

Objectives: This study analyzed the Korean Hangul word decoding properties of children with reading disabilities by considering reading intervention and reading related language factors. Methods: A corresponding sample t-test, correlation analysis, and repeated measurement were examined for the relevance of Hangul and reading difficulties, predictors of Hangul reading difficulties, and the effects of Korean word meaningfulness (word/non-word) and spelling regularity (regular/irregular) variables. Results: 1) After reading intervention, children with reading disabilities improved in their Hangul decoding, listening comprehension, phonological awareness, and word writing scores. 2) Before and after reading interventions, variables related to decoding were receptive vocabulary, phonological awareness, word writing, and rapid naming. 3) The variables of children’s ability that predicted decoding were word writing, listening comprehension, receptive vocabulary, and rapid naming; and the variable that predicted non-word decoding was word writing. Phonological awareness, which showed significant correlation with decoding scores, did not act as a significant predictor of decoding scores. 4) Reading interventions and decoding-level variables (word meaning and spelling regularity) both showed significant effects in the decoding of Korean Hangul, especially after reading interventions. Conclusion: The reading disability of Hangul is acting on both the characteristics of the ideogram and phonogram system, and the characteristics of Hangul’s unique spelling system.

AbstractIn this study, we investigated effects of morphological processing on handwriting production in beginning writers of German. Children from Grades 3 and 4 were asked to copy words from a computer screen onto a pen tablet, while we recorded their handwriting with high spatiotemporal resolution. Words involved a syllable-congruent visual disruption (e.g., “Golfer”), a morpheme-congruent visual disruption (e.g., “Golfer”), or had no disruption (e.g., “Golfer”). We analyzed productions in terms of Writing Onset Duration and Letter Duration at the onset of the second syllable (“f” in “Gol.fer”) and the onset of the suffix (“e” in “Golf_er”). Results showed that durations were longer at word-writing onset only for words with a morpheme-congruent visual disruption. Also, letter durations were longer at the onset of the second syllable (i.e., “-fer”) and shorter at the onset of the suffix (i.e., “-er”) only for words with a syllable-congruent visual disruption. We interpret these findings within extant theories of handwriting production and offer an explanation for the observed effects before and during trajectory formation.

From the medieval past we can single out several kings-poets, kings-scientists and scholars, education reformers, of whom Vakhtang VI deserves great respect.Versatile and varied turned out to be his genius and spectacle as well. King Vakhtang's intellect was accessible to completely different fields of science, such as history, jurisprudence, philosophy, astronomy-astrology, chemistry, medicine, grammar, textology, pedagogy. Not to mention the writing, where he said a decent word. Despite the difficult political situation, King Vakhtang VI still managed to create a prosperous cultural and educational environment in the country. With his initiative and support, the first printing house was established in Georgia in 1709. With the revival of the printed word, writing opened up vital space, giving more thought to thinking.By printing "The Knight in the Panther's Skin" the foundation was laid for the scientific study of the text of the poem - the work of restoration, the foundation was given to the most important field - Rustvelology. The literature of the Renaissance period is characterized by a number of novelties associated to the name of the King Vakhtang VI. The King, endowed with creative talent, contributed in every way to the development of new fields of science, the introduction of new themes and genres in literature. Understanding the national problem, trying to establish it and turning it into a spiritual need is the niche of Vakhtang's creativity. The only spiritual refuge of the king tired of life was the Christian faith. "The elaboration of religious themes, the cry to God, in addition to bringing spiritual peace to the deeply believing poet, at the same time he promoted the ideas of Christianity among the people and strengthened the religious faith.King Vakhtang VI not only enriched the Georgian literature with his original works, but also greatly contributed to his translation activities. His role in the development of lexicography was also great. The genius of Vakhtang VI can be discussed endlessly. It means a lot even to the fact that the history has survived in the name of the "lawgiver" king.

Good scriptwriting or reporting requires a high level of accuracy. The basic problem is that the level of accuracy of the authors is not the same. The low level of accuracy allows for mistyping of words in a sentence. Typing errors caused the word to become non-standard. Even worse, the word became meaningless. In this case, the recommendation application serves to provide word-writing recommendations in case of a typing error. This application can reduce the error rate of the writer when typing. One method to improve word spelling is Approximate String Matching. This method applies an approach to the string search process. The Levenshtein Distance algorithm is a part of the Approximate String-Matching method. This method, firstly, is necessary to go through the preprocessing stage to correct an incorrectly written word using the Levenshtein Distance algorithm. The application testing phase uses ten texts composed of 100 words, ten texts composed of 100 to 250 words, and ten texts composed of 250 to 500 words. The average accuracy rate of these test results was 95%, 94%, and 90%.

This research is here to explain several forms of errors in the material module of the Pendidikan Profesi Guru Dalam Jabatan Tahun 2020. Research on the analysis of language errors in the PPG module has never been carried out.  In data collection, used the Listening method with the Note Technique.  The data are recorded in such a way in tabulations.  In analyzing the data, the Intralingual Matching method was used with HBS and HBB techniques. HBS and HBB techniques are realized by comparing between language data and applicable rules.  Furthermore, deviant linguistic data are classified based on the types of violations against linguistic rules and theories.  The presentation of the results of data analysis in this study is based on the taxonomy of linguistic categories in language error analysis.  The results showed that in the module I PPG Dalam Jabatan Tahun 2020 there were spelling errors in the form of punctuation errors, capital letters errors, italicization errors, and word writing errors; morphological errors in the form of word formation errors and word non-conformity; syntactic errors in the form of misuse of conjunctor and ineffective sentences.
