Kebaruan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kajian antropolinguistik yang berkaitan dengan lirik nyanyian budaya. Bentuk lingual yang khas tidak dapat dipisahkan dari bentuk musikalnya.  Anthropolinguistics places language as the main study and its existence in various aspects of language. Word problems are classified to S problems and P problems by Verschaffel [9], classification is being specified and expanded. Reviewed word problems in Lithuanian first grade textbooks and divided to types. Submitted recommendations to use more varied types word problems, that would let to expand concepts understanding, develop mathematical reasoning, motivate to study word problem.

The present paper aims to study word structure and meaning of the proper names that appear in Mustai Karim’s literary works. In this article, the methods of system, theoretical and practical analysis are used. Based on the analysis of poetonyms, the word-building patterns of proper names in M. Karim’s autobiography novel «Long-long childhood» are considered. As far as this issue has never been the focus of linguists’ attention, this research is the first attempt of a comprehensive study of proper names used in M. Karim’s novel from structural and word-building angles; the specificity of the functioning of onims and their role in the creation of artistic images, as well as in the reflection of the main stages in the development of the Bashkir language, is revealed. The work makes a definite contribution to the study of trends in the development of the Bashkir language system, as well as structural and word-formation features of poetic onomastics.

Word embeddings are increasingly being used as a tool to study word associations in specific corpora. However, it is unclear whether such embeddings reflect enduring properties of language or if they are sensitive to inconsequential variations in the source documents. We find that nearest-neighbor distances are highly sensitive to small changes in the training corpus for a variety of algorithms. For all methods, including specific documents in the training set can result in substantial variations. We show that these effects are more prominent for smaller training corpora. We recommend that users never rely on single embedding models for distance calculations, but rather average over multiple bootstrap samples, especially for small corpora.

There has been a great deal of research on emotional information processing within the field of clinical psychology. Many tests have been developed and the emotional Stroop test is one of the most used. However, some versions of the Stroop test have methodological issues when used to study word-colour interferences, especially when the words are emotionally charged. We present a computer-assisted version of the emotional Stroop test called Tastiva, which is highly versatile, useful, and accessible, in addition to being easy to use and widely applicable. The Tastiva software and User Manual is available on the University of Seville website: http://grupo.us.es/recursos/Tastiva/index.htm. We also present a case study using neutral and sexual content words, in which the program calculates the word exposure time by analysing the behaviour of the respondent. One of its novel contributions is the graphic presentation of meas-ures: response time, errors, and non-response to stimuli.

Product is a platform with which the companies and the consumers communicate with each other. The product style contains two kind of information - one from the companies and the other from the consumers side. Product style map is an effective tool for product strategy planning. In this study, word processing technology was firstly investigated including methods of new words identification, words semantic measurement, and new words explanation. Consequentially, Product Style Keywords Map was produced with the fore mentioned technology, dynamic SOM model was adopted to cluster the product style keywords. A visualization and interaction structure was set up based on Flex technology.

Background. The aim of this study was to investigate the individual effects of envelope enhancement and high-pass filtering (500 Hz) on word identification scores in quiet for individuals with Auditory Neuropathy. Method. Twelve individuals with Auditory Neuropathy (six males and six females) with ages ranging from 12 to 40 years participated in the study. Word identification was assessed using bi-syllabic words in each of three speech processing conditions: unprocessed, envelope-enhanced, and high-pass filtered. All signal processing was carried out using MATLAB-7. Results. Word identification scores showed a mean improvement of 18% with envelope enhanced versus unprocessed speech. No significant improvement was observed with high-pass filtered versus unprocessed speech. Conclusion. These results suggest that the compression/expansion signal processing strategy enhances speech identification scores—at least for mild and moderately impaired individuals with AN. In contrast, simple high-pass filtering (i.e., eliminating the low-frequency content of the signal) does not improve speech perception in quiet for individuals with Auditory Neuropathy.
