The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of treatment strategies and methods as well as a practical decision support, based on the current version of the guideline on memory rehabilitation [55] and the authorsʼ views. We show that the choice of a method for efficient neuropsychological treatment depends on the type and severity of the memory disorder as well as on the previous therapy experience of the affected person and the defined therapy goal: e.g., what it means to work with implicit »errorless learning« methods; which form of external memory aids can be used with which patients; that methods for improving memory performance are available for persons with moderate to mild memory disorders; and that PC therapy is also likely to help younger and more mildly affected persons. The aim is also to provide a broad overview of current studies on memory rehabilitation, some with very promising results. However, many questions remain unanswered to date, some of which have been highlighted in this paper with the aim of stimulating future research to enable those affected by memory impairment to achieve the best possible rehabilitation and the greatest possible independence

The study also aims to find out an easy, effective and less complicated procedure for second-degree haemorrhoids. The 15 participants with second degree internal haemorrhoids were selected as per inclusion criteria. After doing all the preoperative procedures, the citrakādi kṣāra lēpa was done in a single sitting. The duration of the study was 30 days. The assessment of reduction of size of haemorrhoids, mucosal changes after the procedure and frequency of bleeding were done before the treatment, on 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 15th, and 30th day using the required assessment tools. The symptoms, constipation and mucous discharge were assessed on the 0th and 30th days. The follow up was done on the 60th day. The statistical analysis of the results was done using non- parametric tests. On analysing, it was found that the Citrakādi kṣāra shows 86.11% of the efficacy in the reduction of both subjective and objective parameters. Key words: Haemorrhoids, Arsas, Citrakādi kṣāra

Abstract In palliative care, it is important to inform relatives or caring persons about the condition of the affected person, this could also include vital or biomedical data. Nonprofessional caregivers need information around the topic. However, the data should be stored in a backend system and be able to be viewed and edited by multiple caregivers on multiple platforms. Using the example of the backend solution described here, we will show how a FHIR-compliant server for health data, which could be provided from a digital health App (DiGA), can be established, as well as a second server for article database as a "CRUD"-API and user identification.

AbstractI aim to show that the common idea according to which we can assess how bad death is for the person who dies relies on numerous dubious premises. These premises are intuitive from the point of view of dominant views regarding the badness of death. However, unless these premises have been thoroughly justified, we cannot measure the badness of death for the person who dies. In this paper, I will make explicit assumptions that pertain to the alleged level of badness of death. The most important assumption I will address is the assignment of a quantitative value of zero to death, which leads to the conclusion that there are lives not worth living for the affected person. Such a view interprets the idea of a live worth living in quantitative terms. It is in conflict with actual evaluations of relevant people of their lives.

Introduction: Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) for many years has been thought to occur mainly in the male population. However, recent studies and change in professionals' perception allowed us to understand that there are significant differences between predominant features related to the gender of the affected person, which changes our look at how the condition may exhibit in women.  Current state of knowledge: In this review, we provide a general look at the disorder, its characteristics in the young and adult population, differences in symptoms and finally -  how it may prove difficult to diagnose this condition among women. Several factors that could contribute to development of ADHD were listed in literature, among them genetics, prenatal period, diet and parents’ emotional wellbeing. Concerning women, they are considered to internalize their psychological struggles, such as depression and stress more often than men, rendering them more susceptible toward suicidal behaviors and making diagnosis harder. Conclusions: When it comes to diagnosis in women, the main difficulty is that the symptoms are presented in a different way compared to men suffering from the same disorder. Because of those reasons, it’s harder to make a proper diagnosis. Therefore, further studies, taking account of affected one’s gender needs to be conducted, while medical professionals have to be more cautious.

The worldwide transmission of acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) as a deadly or devastating disease is known to affect thousands of people every day, many of them dying all over the planet. The main reason for the massive effect of COVID-19 on society is its unpredictable spread, which does not allow for proper planning or management of this disease. Antibiotics, antivirals, and other prescription drugs, necessary and used in therapy, obviously have side effects (minor or significant) on the affected person, there are still not clear enough studies to elucidate their combined effect in this specific treatment, and existing protocols are sometimes unclear and uncertain. In contrast, it has been found that nutraceuticals, supplements, and various herbs can be effective in reducing the chances of SARS-CoV-2 infection, but also in alleviating COVID-19 symptoms. However, not enough specific details are yet available, and precise scientific studies to validate the approved benefits of natural food additives, probiotics, herbs, and nutraceuticals will need to be standardized according to current regulations. These alternative treatments may not have a direct effect on the virus or reduce the risk of infection with it, but these products certainly stimulate the human immune system so that the body is better prepared to fight the disease. This paper aims at a specialized literary foray precisely in the field of these “cures” that can provide real revelations in the therapy of coronavirus infection

Erotomania is a rare subtype of delusional disorder, whereby the affected person believes that another individual, usually someone with higher socio-economic status, is in love with them despite having little or no contact. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first published case of same gender erotomania, involving a 28-year-old single lady and a 42-year-old divorcee towards a female psychiatrist. We aimed to share the challenges experienced by the managing psychiatrist as she inopportunely became the theme of her patients’ delusion. We also reviewed and discussed recent literature on erotomania to create awareness among psychiatrists towards this rare psychiatric condition.

In a Carpathian village whose tradition I have been studying for a number of years, in pre-COVID-19 narratives about illness, an unexpected illness— especially a potentially fatal one—was often viewed as a sign from above. Depending on the relation between the speaker and the affected person, it might either cast doubt on the person's behavior or indicate an undeserved tragic stroke of fate. Uis paper examines whether that has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. I explore how people in this village talk about the pandemic, and how their narratives fit into, and possibly add to, our understanding of traditional values, supernatural beliefs, and the linguistic expression of these values and beliefs in the village.
