The present work embodies findings of a survey done during the period 2018- 2020 to find out biodiversity of tylenchid nematodes parasitic on some mostly grown vegetables of Kashmir valley. Four species of nematodes belonging to the order Tylenchida Thorne, 1949 were found to be enormously prevalent and are described herein with alterations from the original probably because of habitat change. Spinacia oleracea (Spinach) and Allium cepa (Onion) were taken for the study. Merlinius microdorus (Geraert, 1966) Siddiqui, 1970; Boleodorus cylindricus Dhanachand, Renubala and Anandi, 1993; Pratylenchus sativus Kaul, 1985 and Helicotylenchus graminophilus Fotedar and Mahajan, 1974 were met with the varied intensity on these hosts. The morphological variations are significantly noted under remarks with the individual species under observations.

Abstract This paper describes an assemblage of diverse floodplain facies of reworked loess (facies b, c) in a Middle Pleistocene monsoonal setting of the Hanzhong Basin, central China. The vertical and lateral sedimentary sequences show changing energy conditions. Apart from the highest energy in the channel facies (facies a), a relatively high energy floodplain environment (facies b) prevailed in waterlogged conditions, with small, laterally migrating (sub)channels. Facies b generally interfingers with aggrading horizontal sheets of overbank deposits in alluvial pools and swamps in a floodplain with much lower energy (facies c), in which phases of stability (soil formation) occasionally interrupted overbank deposition. Reworked loess forms the main part of the floodplain deposits. The paleosols are considered to have been formed under low hydrodynamic conditions in an interglacial environment. These interglacial conditions follow the commonly assumed glacial conditions of channel facies a. The sedimentary successions in the floodplain show a recurrent composition and cyclicity between wet and dry floodplain sedimentation terminated by stability with soil formation. The cyclic rhythm of stacked high- and low-energy floodplain sediments is attributed to varied intensity of different hydrodynamic flooding events that may have been due to changing monsoonal rainfall or simple intrinsic fluvial behavior.

Purpose – The “explosion” of entrepreneurship observed in Poland after 1989 and continuing throughout the years with varied intensity is a global phenomenon. Most importantly, the entrepreneurship freed the accumulated resources of human energy that had been dormant in the years of the People’s Republic. Research method – For the study presented herein the method of analysis of available statistical data dating back to the years 1989-1992, and of source materials in the form of memories of entrepreneurs operating in that period was applied. Results – The objective of research as such proves that, even though the economically active entities did not fall within the frame of the concept of “entrepreneurs” proposed by Joseph Schumpeter, they were the one who initiated the dynamic changes in the Polish economy after 1989, often referred to as the “creative destruction”. Considering the above, the development of the resources of entrepreneurship observed at those times took place during the transformational recession that occurred in 1990-1991. In its classical form, the Schumpeterian phenomenon of using recession as a springboard to business success by active individuals was observed. Originality / value / implications / recommendations – In the literature on the subject, there is a lively and inspiring discussion about the transformational recession and its social consequences. Less frequently, scientists point to the link between the explosion of entrepreneurship after 1989 and the transformational recession. The article deals with this research problem from the microeconomic perspective. It reveals the efforts of entrepreneurs to build their own businesses and indicates their contribution to alleviating the social consequences of the transformational recession.

This study seeks to explain how political participation is influenced by cultural values manifested in political advertising. In this regard, this study proposes a model that encompasses the concepts of Schwartz’ basic human values in which self-transcendence and conservation interact with three political values manifested in advertisements, namely law and order, civil liberties and patriotism, to determine political participation. Analyses were performed on a random sample of 834 Pakistanis collected through a survey. Structural equation modelling (SEM) techniques were employed, and analysis of moment structures (AMOS) was used to determine political participation. The findings of this study revealed that self-transcendence and conservation, albeit varied intensity, interact with political values manifested in advertisements. The findings also provide theoretical and managerial implications, which are discussed in greater detail in this article.

Purpose: Maximal oxygen uptake () is a key determinant of endurance performance. Therefore, devising high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that maximizes stress of the oxygen-transport and -utilization systems may be important to stimulate further adaptation in athletes. The authors compared physiological and perceptual responses elicited by work intervals matched for duration and mean power output but differing in power-output distribution. Methods: Fourteen cyclists ( 69.2 [6.6] mL·kg−1·min−1) completed 3 laboratory visits for a performance assessment and 2 HIIT sessions using either varied-intensity or constant-intensity work intervals. Results: Cyclists spent more time at during HIIT with varied-intensity work intervals (410 [207] vs 286 [162] s, P = .02), but there were no differences between sessions in heart-rate- or perceptual-based training-load metrics (all P ≥ .1). When considering individual work intervals, minute ventilation () was higher in the varied-intensity mode (F = 8.42, P = .01), but not respiratory frequency, tidal volume, blood lactate concentration [La], ratings of perceived exertion, or cadence (all F ≤ 3.50, ≥ .08). Absolute changes (Δ) between HIIT sessions were calculated per work interval, and Δ total oxygen uptake was moderately associated with (r = .36, P = .002). Conclusions: In comparison with an HIIT session with constant-intensity work intervals, well-trained cyclists sustain higher fractions of when work intervals involved power-output variations. This effect is partially mediated by an increased oxygen cost of hyperpnea and not associated with a higher [La], perceived exertion, or training-load metrics.

“The body of death” on the basis of selected worksby Vladimir SorokinOne of the outstanding characteristics of Vladimir Sorokin’s works is the permanent presence of Thanatos motifs. The structure of Sorokin’s pictures of death both executed and experienced is subordinated to the logic of the process of going beyond the word-body opposition. Consequently, death in Sorokin’s prose is always deprived of its proper dignity. Moreover, it is shown as a senseless and absurd. The conscious emphasis on physicality, understood as the expression of the desire to overcome the word-body opposition, causes the necessary presence of means which are typical of horror films. This strategy can be observed within the whole oeuvre of the author, however with varied intensity as in the recent works Sorokin places much lesser emphasis on the display of human physicality in the face of death.„Тело смерти” на примере избранных произведений Владимира СорокинаОдной из опознавательных черт творчества Владимира Сорокона является постоянное присутствие танатологических мотивов.

A high magnitude (Mw =7.8) earthquake caused a geological disaster recently on April-May 2015 in Nepal Himalayas and resulted in severe devastation in Nepal as well as neighboring states in India. Looking into its recurrent occurrence with varied intensity, in the present study, the earthquake pattern in Nepal Himalayas was analyzed during the period 1900 to 2015 using United States Geological Survey (USGS) data sources in GIS environment. The result exhibits that the intensity of earthquake events are increased in recent decade in Nepal Himalayas as compared to previous century (1900-2014). The information pertaining to earthquake epicenter, magnitude, depth to hypocenter, demography etc. was also analyzed in geospatial environment to deduce its relation with geotectonic settings and possible risk in the vicinity. The earthquake events were also observed at deeper location (more than 40 kms) during 1900-2014(414 events; 53.9%) as compared to the recent events (2015), where majority of eathquake events (146 events; 85.3%) recorded at below 10 km depth (Janakpur and Bagmati provinces in Nepal). The result exhibits high number of recent events with greater magnitudes in central Nepal during April-May 2015 affecting a very large population above and around their vicinity with varied intensity. The cities located in central Nepal are highly prone to frequent earthquake hazard and induced risk on population of 2,923,621 persons followed by north-western Nepal.
