The development of handicrafts in Indonesia is now experiencing such a rapid pace, especially those oriented to various modern technological facilities lately. Accompanying all human needs that are passive and have an active function, furniture or household furniture products are the main choice in various worlds of property today, both domestically and abroad. The relationship between craft art and several aspects that must be met shows the existence of a problematic in its embodiment. This is probably not realized by the kriyawan who appear instantly and oriented to a market. It's the same with craftsmen in Mulyoharjo Village, although there are those who have the idea of working through an artistic instinct and become unconventional craft craftsmen in their social community.

Abstract Background Left atrial (LA) reservoir strain provides prognostic information in patients with and without heart failure (HF), but might be altered by atrial fibrillation (AF). The aim of the current study was to investigate changes of LA deformation in patients undergoing cardioversion (CV) for first-time diagnosis of AF. Methods and results We performed 3D-echocardiography and strain analysis before CV (Baseline), after 25 ± 10 days (FU-1) and after 190 ± 20 days (FU-2). LA volumes, reservoir, conduit and active function were measured. In total, 51 patients were included of whom 35 were in SR at FU-1 (12 HF and preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF)), while 16 had ongoing recurrence of AF (9 HFpEF). LA maximum volume was unaffected by cardioversion (Baseline vs. FU-2: 41 ± 11 vs 40 ± 10 ml/m2; p = 0.85). Restored SR led to a significant increase in LA reservoir strain (Baseline vs FU-1: 12.9 ± 6.8 vs 24.6 ± 9.4, p < 0.0001), mediated by restored LA active strain (SR group Baseline vs. FU-1: 0 ± 0 vs. 12.3 ± 5.3%, p < 0.0001), while LA conduit strain remained unchanged (Baseline vs. FU-1: 12.9 ± 6.8 vs 13.1 ± 6.2, p = 0.78). Age-controlled LA active strain remained the only significant predictor of LA reservoir strain on multivariable analysis (β 1.2, CI 1.04–1.4, p < 0.0001). HFpEF patients exhibited a significant increase in LA active (8.2 ± 4.3 vs 12.2 ± 6.6%, p = 0.004) and reservoir strain (18.3 ± 5.7 vs. 22.8 ± 8.8, p = 0.04) between FU-1 and FU-2, associated with improved LV filling (r = 0.77, p = 0.005). Conclusion Reestablished SR improves LA reservoir strain by restoring LA active strain. Despite prolonged atrial stunning following CV, preserved SR might be of hemodynamic and prognostic benefit in HFpEF. Graphical abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship between qualia and language. Author will begin with the explanation of the nature of qualia using the negative method (second and third chapter), which will reveal that qualia are neither ontological properties in a traditional sense, viewed as instances of subjective experience, nor that they possess any epistemological value as such. In the fourth chapter, qualia will be confronted with language on the grounds of experience which we understand as holistic. Experience as such is not differential, which means it does not contain subject-object relationship in an ontological sense. Afterwards, phenomenologically analyzed, experience will be shown in two modes: pre-personal and personal. Pre-personal experience as unreflective cannot produce a subject-object relationship and as such is a birthplace of qualia as a stimuli-response structure. On the other hand, the possibility of personal experience depends only on consciousness. Consciousness is an active function of experience which produces the subject-object relationship by objectifying the relations between itself and the other. Such objectification is only possible within the boundaries of language which is constituted as a relationship of meanings; which is to say that without meaning there is no object at all. The final conclusion of the paper refers to the bridge connection between qualia and language (pre-personal and personal) which is established by consciousness.

People are capable of learning diverse functional relationships from data; nevertheless, they are most accurate when learning linear relationships, and deviate further from estimating the true relationship when presented with non-linear functions. We investigate whether, when given the opportunity to learn actively, people choose samples in an efficient fashion, and whether better sampling policies improve their ability to learn linear and non-linear functions. We find that, across multiple different function families, people make informative sampling choices consistent with a simple, low-effort policy that minimizes uncertainty at extreme values without requiring adaptation to evidence. While participants were most accurate at learning linear functions, those who more closely adhered to the simple sampling strategy also made better predictions across all non-linear functions. We discuss how the use of this heuristic might reflect rational allocation of limited cognitive resources.

The modern technology of heat-protective clothing is increasingly aimed at maintaining the active function of materials. Adding heat-preserving components into the volume of heat-insulating fibrous materials changes their structure and properties. In this article, the methods of forming the structure of multi-component insulants with heat-preserving components, as well as the study of structural and thermophysical properties, are presented. Composite textile materials were used in this study, namely a 0/30/50/100% Outlast textile (based on polyester fleece, 70%) + Termofiber (fiber-insulated polyester material, 100%). Based on the research, we established the structural parameters of Termofiber fibrous canvas and the Outlast textile. The study of the thermal conductivity of complex combined insulation materials was performed for different temperature conditions (up to +25 °C) and for the proportion of the heat-accumulating textile components. Based on the obtained research results for the development of complex materials from Termofiber + the Outlast textile, the fraction of the Outlast textile component should be limited to no more than 40% for textile shells in clothing that are operated at a temperature of +5 °C or below. Further conditions for determining the composition of the studied materials for clothing can be settled by taking into account the density of the materials, the mass, and the general thermal insulation of clothing.

Abstract Background This study investigated the ArmA-TH sub-scale measurement properties based on item response theory using the Rasch model. Methods Patients with upper limb hemiplegia resulting from cerebrovascular and other brain disorders were asked to complete the ArmA-TH questionnaire. Rasch analysis was performed to test how well the ArmA-TH passive and active function sub-scales fit the Rasch model by investigating unidimensionality, response category functioning, reliability of person and item, and differential item functioning (DIF) for age, sex, and education. Results Participants had stroke or other acquired brain injury (n = 185), and the majority were men (126, 68.1 %), with a mean age of 55 (SD 22). Most patients (91, 49.2 %) had graduated from elementary/primary school. For the ArmA-TH passive function scale, all items had acceptable fit statistics. The scale’s unidimensionality and local independence were supported. The reliability was acceptable. A disordered threshold was found for five items, and none indicated DIF. For the ArmA-TH active function scale, one item was misfit and three were locally dependent. The reliability was good. No items showed DIF. All items had disordered thresholds, and the data fitted the Rasch model better after rescoring. Conclusions Both sub-scales of ArmA-TH fitted the Rasch model and were valid and reliable. The disordered thresholds should be further investigated.

The article analyzes the word – forming role of stylistic figures (metaphor and metonymy) in the formation of polysemantic words-terms. The common regularities of the use of stylistic figures in the mobile terminology, ways of their change (semantic senses) are revealed. It is noted that the meaning- senses making paradigm of metaphor is a complex system-forming unit, which creates a set of derivatives motivated by the same sign. The nominative function of metaphor, which is able to form new senses, is also traced. It is generalized that metaphor is a semantic shift in meaning, and metonymy is a semantic shift in reference. Stylistic figure metaphor performs both figurative and active function of speech and can be represented by a set of semantic markers or semes. The article argues that the stylistic figure as a result of a combination of heterogeneous components of content that emerged in the context, is implicitly separated from it, realized in both metaphor and metonymy, providing a proper understanding of native speakers. It is highlighted that metaphor is a semantic process where the form of a language unit is transferred from one referent to another on the basis of one or another similarity of objects / concepts in the speaker’s mind. It is proved that penetrating into professional language, metaphor gradually loses its imagery, associativity and acquires a strict terminological meaning. It is concluded that stylistic figures (metaphor, metonymy) are able to create new meanings in both semantic and cognitive dimensions, their free combination allows the emergence of a new sense that is actualized in a particular speech act.

Diltiazem HCl is a class of benzodiazepine calcium channel blockers used to treat angina pectoris, arrhythmias, and hypertension. Diltiazem HCl improves first-pass metabolism, a short half time of 3-5 hours, and bioavailability of diltiazem for oral administration of about 40%. Mucoadhesive buccal film diltiazem HCl releases the drug to the buccal mucosa, so the first pass metabolism can be avoided because of its absorption through the venous system that flows from the cheek. This study aimed to study HPMC polymers and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) polymers on swelling index, residence time, mucoadhesive strength of mucoadhesive buccal film diltiazem HCl, FTIR, and drug release. The prepared film was evaluated for swelling index, mucoadhesive strength, and mucoadhesive residence time. The optimal amount for HPMC was 35 mg, and PVP was 15 mg. The combination of polymers with this amount can produce a swelling index was 3,00, mucoadhesive strength was 41,87 gF, and mucoadhesive residence time was 330,66. FTIR test indicated that there was no interaction between active function clusters of Diltiazem HCl and other excipients. The release of the optimum formula in the 360th minute was about 97.847%, following in the zero-order release model and Higuchi.
