Abstract Conventional single-organ-isolation-based pharmacokinetics study is short of time-course information and exists considerable inaccuracy due to the inter-individual differences and characteristic imparities between in vivo and ex vivo tissues/cells. The in vivo time-course and multi-organs study of model drugs in living subjects could afford precise spatio-temporal correlation. Herein, a revolutionized trans-dimensional fluorescence system was home built, with the macro-level detection part for simultaneous pharmacokinetic study in different organs, and one confocal imaging needle for micro-level visualizing cellular uptake of drugs with super-high resolution (0.472 μm). Correlating these simultaneous acquired trans-scale data, an innovative physiologically-based pharmacokinetics (PBPK) model was firstly created for predicting drug disposition in other species. Its accuracy and reliability was firmly supported by the high consistent predicted-data with the real-measured data in mice and in human, respectively. This study provides an innovative methodology and revolutionized instrument for in vivo real-time advancing assessment of druggability.

Al-Qāḍī ʻIyāḍ’s explanation of the hadith of Ummi Zara’ is considered one of the most authentic explanations and was approved by the early and later scholars. The aim of this research is to clarify the method employed by Al-Qāḍī ʻIyāḍ in the study of the noble hadith through his explanation “Bughyah al-Ra’id Lima Tadammanahu Hadith Ummi Zar’ min al-Fawa’id”. The researcher relied on the inductive approach in introducing Al-Qāḍī ʻIyāḍ and his efforts in this explanation, and the analytical approach in order to highlight Al-Qāḍī ʻIyāḍ’s innovative methodology, which distinguished this explanation from others. The research concluded that Al-Qāḍī ʻIyāḍ established the rules of a new approach in dealing with the religious text, based on comprehensiveness and integration, which explains his extraction of a huge number of jurisprudential and Arabic issues, with unique investigations and wonderful references.

In this work, an innovative methodology to assess the security, habitability and functionality requirements of school buildings have been designed. The objectives are two: to design an evaluative methodology to assess technically the satisfaction of the basic requirements: safety, habitability and functionality that exist in public school buildings, and apply the methodology developed in university teaching so that students of the disciplines related to construction are able to justify, based on the regulations, their project decisions and intervention. The methodology is developed in the subject Applied Construction of the Master in Architecture of the Rey Juan Carlos University. The main result is that, from the detection of a real problem, such as the state of conservation of school buildings, we can developed an educational practice that helps Master students to ensure that their projects comply with current regulations. One of the most relevant conclusions is that the teaching applications of a real research, offer a provided value at academic level and a realistic view of the current constructions. Furthermore, stress the importance of both planning in accordance with the regulations and ensuring the conservation of the buildings

The article is an interpretation of Oles Ulyanenko’s novel Fiery Eye on the principles of corporal-mimetic method for analyzing fiction. Having applied this innovative methodology, the conclusion is reached that the novel is not based on an apocalyptic vision but on a seduction phenomenon. This conclusion disputes traditional critical reflections on Oles Ulyanenko’s literary works. The content of seduction is determined by the correlation between the desire for power, woman, sex and death. They are symbolically echoed by the image of a sky with an enormous eye in the center, blazing with seductive fire. This fire is vivifying warmth and light. According to Oles Ulyanenko, the way there runs through a carnival turning cruelty into mercy, horror into delight, hatred into tenderness, disgust into pleasure, and vice versa.

This paper will provide an overview of the philosophical premises, the generation of research questions, data collection and analysis process, potential ethical issues, and quality of inference of living theory action research methodology. Based on the ontological value that everyone has knowledge within themselves, living theory action research considers knowledge to be the creation from evaluation and reflection as part of actions to improve educational practices. This paper suggests a way to move ahead with living theory action research by shedding light on the significance of multimedia use and the role of educational influence in its methodology to communicate the meanings of expression of embodied values and for the validation process. This paper aims to help emerging educational action researchers understand living theory action research as an innovative methodology to address the gap between values and practical implementation for action researchers.

Experimental procedures are often involved in the numerical models validation. To define the behaviour of a structure, its underlying dynamics and stress distributions are generally investigated. In this research, a multi-instrumental and multi-spectral method is proposed in order to validate the numerical model of the Inspection Robot mounted on the new San Giorgio's Bridge on the Polcevera river. An infrared thermoelasticity-based approach is used to measure stress-concentration factors and, additionally, an innovative methodology is implemented to define the natural frequencies of the Robot Inspection structure, based on the detection of ArUco fiducial markers. Established impact hammer procedure is also performed for the validation of the results.

PurposeThe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic highlighted the necessity of practicing Evidence-based Management (EBMgt) as an approach to decision-making in hospital settings. The literature, however, provides limited insight into the process of EBMgt and its contextual nuances. Such insight is critical for better leveraging EBMgt in practice. Therefore, the authors' aim was to integrate the literature on the process of EBMgt in hospital settings, identify the gaps in knowledge and delineate areas for future research.Design/methodology/approachThe authors conducted a systematic scoping review using an innovative methodology that involved two systematic searches. First using EBMgt terminology and second using terminology associated with the EBMgt concept, which the authors derived from the first search.FindingsThe authors identified 218 relevant articles, which using content analysis, they mapped onto the grounded model of the EBMgt process; a novel model of the EBMgt process developed by Sahakian and colleagues. The authors found that the English language literature provides limited insight into the role of managers' perceptions and motives in EBMgt, the practice of EBMgt in Global South countries, and the outcomes of EBMgt. Overall, this study’s findings indicated that aspects of the decision-maker, context and outcomes have been neglected in EBMgt.Originality/valueThe authors contributed to the EBMgt literature by identifying these gaps and proposing future research areas and to the systematic review literature by developing a novel scoping review method.

This paper presents the development of a novel model for optimizing the planning of hotel renovation projects to maximize hotel revenues during renovation work while minimizing project cost. The model is developed in three main modules: optimization, scheduling, and hotel profit modules. The model integrates an innovative methodology that enables renovation planners to select which hotels to renovate during any fiscal year based on an allocated renovation budget and identify an optimal floor renovation start date, optimal overtime hours usage and number of assigned crews for each renovation activity, and an optimal floor renovation order in each hotel. An application example of three hotels is analyzed to illustrate the use of the model and demonstrate its capabilities. The results of this analysis illustrate the novel contributions of the model and its original capability in generating optimal plans for hotel renovation projects that enable hotel owners to maximize revenues of their hotels during renovation work while minimizing hotel renovation costs.
