AbstractJatropha oil-based polyurethane acylate gel polymer electrolyte was mixed with different concentrations of tetrabutylammonium iodide salt (TBAI). The temperature dependences of ionic conductivity, dielectric modulus and relaxation time were studied in the range of 298 to 393 K. The highest ionic conductivity of (1.88 ± 0.020) × 10–4 Scm−1 at 298 K was achieved when the gel contained 30 wt% of TBAI and 2.06 wt% of I2. Furthermore, the study found that conductivity-temperature dependence followed the Vogel-Tammann Fulcher equation. From that, it could be clearly observed that 30 wt% TBAI indicated the lowest activation energy of 6.947 kJ mol−1. By using the fitting method on the Nyquist plot, the number density, mobility and diffusion coefficient of the charge carrier were determined. The charge properties were analysed using the dielectric permittivity, modulus and dissipation factor. Apart from this, the stoke drag and capacitance were determined.

The field-effect transistor method is used to study the mobility of charge carriers in layers of lead sulfide nanocrystals with ligands of tetrabutylammonium iodide and 1,2-ethanedithiol used to create solar cells. The difference between the operating of a transistor in ambient air and in an inert atmosphere is demonstrated. It is shown that, in the ambient air, the processes of charging nanocrystals are activated when current flows, and the influence of the polarization of the interface of nanocrystals and the insulator on the measurement of the mobility is analyzed. Different reactions of the layers with ligands to light have been demonstrated, showing a significant oxidation of the surface of nanocrystals treated with 1,2-ethanedithiol.

AbstractA TBAI-mediated sulfenylation of N,3-diaryl-1-arylsulfonyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amines with arylsulfonyl hydrazides has been established, and an expanded inventory of N,5-diaryl-4-(arylthio)-1H-pyrazol-3-amines was constructed through C–S bond formation and N–S bond breaking. Mechanistic investigations suggest thiosulfonate as a key intermediate in the sulfenylation, and the detosylation is promoted by the generated arylsulfinic acid. The method is characterized by simple operating conditions, broad substrate range as well as gram-scale reaction.

A set of tetranuclear alkyl aluminum adducts 1 and 2 supported by benzodiimidazole-diylidene ligands L1, N,N’-(1,5-diisopropylbenzodiimidazole-2,6-diylidene)bis(propan-2-amine), and L2, N,N’-(1,5-dicyclohexyl-benzodiimidazole-2,6-diylidene)dicyclohexanamine were synthetized in exceptional yields and characterized by spectroscopic methods. These compounds were studied as catalysts for cyclic carbonate formation (3a–o) from their corresponding terminal epoxides (2a–o) and carbon dioxide utilizing tetrabutylammonium iodide as a nucleophile in the absence of a solvent. The experiments were carried out at 70 °C and 1 bar CO2 pressure for 24 h and adduct 1 was the most efficient catalyst for the synthesis of a large variety of monosubstituted cyclic carbonates with excellent conversions and yields.
