Analisis Dampak Operaional PLTU Jeranjang Terhadap Kondisi Sosial dan Ekonomi Masyarakat Di Kabupaten Lombok Barat

PLTU Jeranjang, West Lombok Regency, is a power plant that uses low-calorie coal. The activities and all power generation activities, including the PLTU Jeranjang, have the potential to have an impact on the social and economic conditions of the community around the power plant location. More in-depth research is needed regarding the impact on social and economic conditions, especially in the Jeranjang area. The aims of this research are (1) to find out how big the social and economic impact of the operational activities of PLTU Jeranjang on the community around the area of PLTU Jeranjang. (2) As a reflection and reference in efforts to increase the national electrification ratio with its impact on environmental, social, economic, and cultural conditions. The method used is a qualitative method by applying questionnaires, interviews and field observations to collect data. While the research sample used purposive sampling by considering the selection of respondents, ease of access, cost and time of the study. This study resulted that the community experienced a decrease in income up to 79%, especially fishermen and farmers. However, the level of anxiety is relatively low because %URS only reached 56%. The health impact that is often experienced by the community throughout the year is Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (ARI). The magnitude of the disturbance in fishing activities is classified as having a sufficient impact because 71% of fisherman feel a change in the typology of fishing which has an impact on the economy. The amount of disturbance to fishing activities is quite adequate with an FAI value of 0.003391. The operational activities of the PLTU Jeranjang as a whole have an impact that is still included in the low category so that this impact can be minimized by optimizing the monitoring, control, treatment, and information disclosure between the PLTU Jeranjang and the community.

Research on the Impact of Government Environmental Information Disclosure on Green Total Factor Productivity: Empirical Experience from Chinese Province

Government environmental information disclosure is an important means to promote environmental supervision and law enforcement, and improve the level of environmental management. In order to explore the impact of government environmental information disclosure on the sustainability of urban economic growth, this paper uses the Pollution Information Transparency Index (PITI) to measure the degree of government environmental information disclosure, studies its effect on green total factor productivity through two-way fixed effect model and systematic GMM estimation method, and further adopts threshold model to study whether there is heterogeneity in this effect. The results show that: (1) Each unit of government environmental information disclosure will increase green total factor productivity by 0.2 units. (2) Considering the endogeneity, the promotion of government environmental information disclosure to green total factor productivity has increased. (3) The degree of government environmental information disclosure plays a non-linear role in the path of green total factor productivity. The greater the degree of economic development, the more obvious the effect of government environmental information disclosure on green total factor productivity. Therefore, this paper believes that the government should strengthen the disclosure of environmental information based on the urban economic development to ensure the sustainability of urban economic development.

Banking disclosure and banking crises in Africa: does board gender diversity play a role?

The paper aims to investigate the impact of board gender diversity in explaining the relationship between bank disclosure and the predicted probability of banking crises in Africa. The study employs robust panel estimates based on an aggregate dataset of banks in 42 African countries over the 2006–2018 periods. From the study, board gender diversity (more women on boards and the presence of women on boards) has a positive impact on information disclosure of banks. We find that board gender diversity and bank disclosure have the possibility of reducing a banking crisis. We observe that board gender diversity enhances the reductive effect of bank disclosure on a predicted probability of a banking crisis. The implication is that women on boards provide prudent decisions on financial information disclosure that significantly reduce the possibility of a banking crises in order to ensure stable banking systems.

Privacy Disclosure in the Real World

Privacy protection is a hot topic in network security, many scholars are committed to evaluating privacy information disclosure by quantifying privacy, thereby protecting privacy and preventing telecommunications fraud. However, in the process of quantitative privacy, few people consider the reasoning relationship between privacy information, which leads to the underestimation of privacy disclosure and privacy disclosure caused by malicious reasoning. This paper completes an experiment on privacy information disclosure in the real world based on WordNet ontology .According to a privacy measurement algorithm, this experiment calculates the privacy disclosure of public figures in different fields, and conducts horizontal and vertical analysis to obtain different privacy disclosure characteristics. The experiment not only shows the situation of privacy disclosure, but also gives suggestions and method to reduce privacy disclosure.
