Nowadays, it is very often that some portion of the Indian traction system is still suffering from a single line railway transportation. This in turn creates a havoc disturbance in maintaining the proper sequence of traction control system. Also, passengers are taking risk to catch the train which is already in motion but no such action has been taken to eliminate these consequences. It has been found that more or less various works have been done on Automation in Railway Crossing Gate using Microcontroller and IR Sensor. Thus, it is often decided to develop an idea for the Indian traction system to ensure better controlling action by introducing Limit Switches as Tactile Sensors and by introducing HMI using PLC. The purpose here to take control over various controlling domains, including Railway crossing gate are as follows: Track signal, crossing level signal, alarm notification, and platform edge fence. The proper sequencing needs to be operated via a 128 I/O module with 2 KB memory size small PLC kit.

This chapter presents the ongoing research, which aims to select suitable electrodes for their use in the pressure distribution measurement system Plantograf. In our research, we examine more materials, especially Yokohama conductive rubber CS57-7RSC and also conductive inks, which are represented type DZT-3 K, Graphit 33 and mixture of Loctite-Henkel conductive inks type Loctite 7004Hr and Loctite NCI 7002EC. All materials can be used as a converter between pressure and electrical quantities in the design of planar pressure transduces. We build on our previous works, where were examined the properties of conductive rubber, conductive inks and electrodes. Next part is focused on the newest results of our research. Due to the still incomplete results in the given issue, we decided to perform an extensive and original measurement of a total of 172 combinations of different electrode sizes, the ratio of conductive ink mixtures and the thickness of the applied ink layer. Thanks to this, it will be possible in the future to select a suitable combination of electrodes and inks when designing tactile pressure sensors for industrial or medical applications without the need to perform time-consuming preparatory measurements and exclude unsuitable ink-electrode combinations.

With the rapid development of society in recent decades, the wearable sensor has attracted attention for motion-based health care and artificial applications. However, there are still many limitations to applying them in real life, particularly the inconvenience that comes from their large size and non-flexible systems. To solve these problems, flexible small-sized sensors that use body motion as a stimulus are studied to directly collect more accurate and diverse signals. In particular, tactile sensors are applied directly on the skin and provide input signals of motion change for the flexible reading device. This review provides information about different types of tactile sensors and their working mechanisms that are piezoresistive, piezocapacitive, piezoelectric, and triboelectric. Moreover, this review presents not only the applications of the tactile sensor in motion sensing and health care monitoring, but also their contributions in the field of artificial intelligence in recent years. Other applications, such as human behavior studies, are also suggested.
