A decorated and carved wooden door of the late Byzantine period (14th Century), which belongs to the Dionysiou Monastery in Mount Athos, Greece, constitutes an important relic of valuable technological information due to its construction technology and history. Seventeen (17) samples detached from the door are studied using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (SEM-EDX), and micro-Raman and FTIR spectroscopy. The following materials are identified in the cross sections of the door samples using micro-Raman spectroscopy: orpiment, lead white, red lead, red ochre, cinnabar, carbon black, gypsum, anhydrite, and calcite, and an organic colourant of the indigoid family. SEM-EDX studies supported to the aforementioned Raman results. Interestingly, a combination of inorganic and organic colourants was detected. The main goals of this particular study were to: (a) reveal the colour palette and materials, (b) identify the type of varnish and its condition, and (c) contribute to future restoration processes and aid conservators in selecting compatible restoration materials.

In the Covid-19 pandemic, digital social connections have taken on a new level of significance. Building on our previous work, we propose a decentralised service model for a digital resilience network (DRN) which enables people with mental and physical illness as well as those experiencing adverse social events to align themselves, provide peer support, share and access resources. The model has five domains: Biopsychosocial, geographical, technological, information and rule domains. Each application of the model can be described using the five domain descriptors and can thereby function as an index which can allow the individual to navigate the networks according to their individual circumstances.

This paper describes a computer program that implements an algorithm for com- pressing technological information with losses using archive data of the information-measuring system "Skala-micro" of the Kursk and Smolensk NPPs as an example. The presented al- gorithm allows to compress file archives at the data level with the possibility of their quick subsequent recovery within the limits of the acceptable error. The main goal of the algorithm is to significantly reduce the excess amount of memory when storing data for its subsequent more efficient use.

Western Paraná is an important agricultural and livestock region, where the cooperatives are an important differential aspect. Therefore, this study sought to identify the role of cooperatives on the income and technological information of farmers in Western Paraná. An exploratory/descriptive research using questionnaires answered by cooperative members was carried out and it was identified that most of the farms (58.2%) have between 10 and 50 ha and, 96.0% of the farmers carry out the annual crops cultivation as the main source of income. In addition to this, activities such as poultry farming (28.0%) and dairy cattle (19.0%) are also frequently developed. Most members (31.6%) consider that 100% of their income is linked to a cooperative and 95.0% of the members answered that the cooperative offers free courses and/or lectures to help them in their agricultural activities. Thus, the active cooperatives in the western region of Paraná guarantee profitability for small and medium-sized farmers, in addition to providing educational and information services by offering courses, lectures and professionals for technical assistance, thus improving the way the cooperative members develop their agricultural activities.

The study provided an empirical evidence on the use of improved goat production technologies among rural farmers in Abia State, Nigeria. The specific objectives of the study were, ascertain the extent of use of improved goat production technologies, determine factors influencing use of improved goat production technologies and identify constraints to access and use of improved goat production technologies. A multi-stage random sampling procedure was adopted in selecting 120 respondents. Data were collected through the use of questionnaire and analysed with frequency, percentage, mean and regression model. Respondents were aware of dipping (100%),deworming (99.2%) fostering of kids (93.3%) and colostrum feeding (71.7%), among others. On extent of use of improved goat production technologies, respondents highly used most of improved goat production technologies [grand mean = X̄ = 3.20]. All the respondents [100%] agreed that lack of access to credit was a constraint to use, 100% agreed on lack of credibility from source of technological information, 99.2% agreed that they were afraid of taking risk, 93.3% agreed on difficulty in technology application, among others. Age education, household size, farming experience, farm size, income and access to credit were the determinants of use of improved goat production technologies at 5% level of probability Greater use of available improved technologies will promote productivity, and therefore there is need for proper sensitization and awareness by relevant agencies. Again, credit should be made available to farmers by relevant governmental and nongovernmental agencies to increase the level of use of available improved technologies. Keywords: improved goat production technologies and farmers

This study provided insights into the availability and use of agricultural information by small scale farmers in the Mbeya Region of Tanzania. The research used structured questionnaires to interview 240 rice farmers in the Mbeya region. The findings revealed that farmers accessed agricultural information from various agents including local government extension staff, neighbors and friends, advertisements, electronic media including the internet, television, radio, and other channels. The identified technological information application methods included by lectures, field demonstrations, exposure visits to various places, and printed production. The majority of farmers perceived to have dissatisfied (43%), strongly dissatisfied (25%), strongly satisfied (20%), satisfied (8%), and no opinions (4%) concerning accessibility to agricultural information and technological services. The majority of farmers claimed that both agricultural information and technological communication are strongly needed for agricultural performance. The study suggests that government and non-government organizations should collaborate to bridge the existing information-sharing gap between farmers and  information providers. Keywords: extension communication, technological information, rural areas, rice farmers, Tanzania.
