Protein analysis can be used to efficiently detect the early stages of various diseases. However, conventional protein detection platforms require expensive or complex equipment, which has been a major obstacle to their widespread application. In addition, uncertain signals from non-specific adhesion interfere with the precise interpretation of the results. To overcome these problems, the development of a technique that can detect the proteins in a simple method is needed. In this study, a platform composed of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) was fabricated through a simple imprinting method for protein detection. The corrugated surface naturally formed by the nanoparticle assemblies simultaneously increases the efficiency of adhesion and binding with analytes and reduces undesired interactions. After forming the GNP micropatterns, post-functionalization with both cationic and neutral ligands was performed on the surface to manipulate their electrostatic interaction with proteins. Upon protein binding, the change in the electrical values of the micropatterns was recorded by using a resistance meter. The resistance of the positively charged micropatterns was found to increase due to the electrostatic interaction with proteins, while no significant change in resistance was observed for the neutral micropatterns after immersion in a protein solution. Additionally, the selective adsorption of fluorescent proteins onto the micropatterns was captured using confocal microscopy. These simply imprinted GNP micropatterns are sensitive platforms that can detect various analytes by measuring the electrical resistance with portable equipment.

A new double-open-cubane core Cd(II)-O-Cu(II) bimetallic ligand mixed cluster of type [Cl2Cu4Cd2(NNO)6(NN)2(NO3)2].CH3CN was made available in EtOH/CH3CN solution. The 1-hydroxymethyl-3,5-dimethylpyrazole (NNOH) and 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (NNH) act as N,O-polydentate anion ligands in coordinating the Cu(II) and Cd(II) centers. The structure of the cluster in the solid state was proved by XRD study and confirmed in the liquid state by UV-vis analysis. The XRD result supported the construction of two octahedral and one square pyramid geometries types around the four Cu(II) centers and only octahedral geometry around Cd(II) two centers. Interestingly, NNOH ligand acts as a tetra-µ3-oxo and tri-µ2-oxo ligand; meanwhile, the N-N in NNH acts as classical bidentate anion/neutral ligands. The interactions in the lattice were detected experimentally by the XRD-packing result and computed via Hirschfeld surface analysis (HSA). The UV-vis., FT-IR and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), supported the desired double-open cubane cluster composition. The oxidation potential of the desired cluster was evaluated using a 3,5-DTB-catechol 3,5-DTB-quinone as a catecholase model reaction.

The luminescent coordination multi-ligand compounds of europium (III) with o-methoxybenzoic acid and island-containing phosphorus-containing neutral ligands of the composition Eu (MOBA) 3 • 3Н2О and Eu (MOBA) 3 • L, where MOBA is o-methoxybenzoic acid, D is hmpa (D hexamethylphosphoric triamide), tppo (triphenylphosphine oxide), Et6pa (hexaethylphosphotriamide). The composition, structure, and thermal properties of complex multi-ligand compounds of europium (III) were studied. It was shown that during thermolysis, detachment of a neutral ligand molecule occurs in one stage with an endothermic effect, complex compounds are stable up to 280 С.Based on the data of IR spectroscopy, it was found that in the europium (III) o-methoxybenzoates, the o-methoxybenzoic acid is coordinated to the europium (III) o-methoxybenzoic ion in a bidentate manner. The low luminescence intensity of multi-ligand europium (III) compounds is explained by the inefficient transfer of electronic excitation energy from o-methoxybenzoic acid and phosphorus-containing neutral ligands to the europium ion.
