Central line associated blood stream infection (CLABSI), is a substantial contributor to in-hospital morbidity and death, as well as increased cost and length of stay in the intensive care unit (ICU). CLABSIs are one of the most deadly for each infection is expected to have a mortality rate of 12-25 percent. CLABSI prevention is important, and nurses play a vital role. Nurses are required to complete initial training as well as annual competence tests for central venous catheter protocol and other skills to ensure that they are delivering direct care to patients using the most up-to-date evidence-based practices. Conclusion: CLABSI prevention bundles are the best method for implementing many interventions at once in addition to standardizing practice. Standard prevention bundles in addition to routine CLABSI education for staff are the most effective methods for preventing infection; it is inevitable that compliance with bundles will vary across healthcare institutions.

The beauty of synchronized dancing lies in the synchronization of body movements among multiple dancers. While dancers utilize camera recordings for their practice, standard video interfaces do not efficiently support their activities of identifying segments where they are not well synchronized. This thus fails to close a tight loop of an iterative practice process (i.e., capturing a practice, reviewing the video, and practicing again). We present SyncUp, a system that provides multiple interactive visualizations to support the practice of synchronized dancing and liberate users from manual inspection of recorded practice videos. By analyzing videos uploaded by users, SyncUp quantifies two aspects of synchronization in dancing: pose similarity among multiple dancers and temporal alignment of their movements. The system then highlights which body parts and which portions of the dance routine require further practice to achieve better synchronization. The results of our system evaluations show that our pose similarity estimation and temporal alignment predictions were correlated well with human ratings. Participants in our qualitative user evaluation expressed the benefits and its potential use of SyncUp, confirming that it would enable quick iterative practice.

The purposes of this research are to compare the practice between working standard and personal working standard of teachers who are certified by attending professional teacher knowledge standard workshop held by the teachers’ council who are different in gender, age, ways of knowledge certified and teaching according to/not according to educational certificate background. The samples are 246 research participants certified by attending professional teacher knowledge standard workshop of the teacher’s council: Developmental division of the Faculty of Education, Mahasarakham University. Sampling operated by using Multi-Stage Random Sampling. Teachers’ data collection are self-evaluation and with school directors also as informers. Research instrument are piloted quality inspected questionnaire indicated by Item Total Correlation and Reliability of Cronbach. Data are analyzed by using X, s.d., t-test: independent samples, One way ANOVA, and multiple comparison of Scheffe. The research found that: 1) Overall, the female teachers who have been certified by attending professional teacher knowledge standard workshop of the teacher’s council follow teaching standard in the academic activities facets on professional teacher’s development and self-practice standard and ethic is higher than male teachers with statistically significant at the .05 level. 2) Teachers who with age differences follow the standard of being a good role model for the students. They work cooperatively with others in the community creatively. Personal practice standard about ethic to society is different with statistically significant at the .05 level. 3) Teachers who have been certified by attending professional teacher knowledge standard workshop of the teacher’s council foster on teacher professional development and immensely develop the students to their full potential more than transferring method with statistically significant at the .05 level. 4) Teachers who teach according to educational certificate background practice according to the standard professional teacher on designing learning activities with the students in mind. They thrive so as to make every opportunity to be for learning. They also have higher ethic than teachers who are not teaching according to their educational certificate background with statistically significant at the .05 level.

Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is a highly contagious new type of respiratory disease (pneumonia) caused by coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). All countries are making various efforts to control covid-19, but there are still many infected victims, so WHO has designated this case as a Covid-19 Pandemic. Pregnant women are more susceptible to viral infections; this is due to changes in the immune system and body anatomy. Pregnancy checks in the hospital will be a significant risk for the threat of covid-19 transmission, while services during pregnancy are essential to avoid complications that can occur during pregnancy. This study aims to identify midwives' knowledge and practice regarding the standard of pregnancy services during the Covid 19 pandemic, using a questionnaire given to midwives as health care workers. The study design used a crosssectional study with a chi-square statistical test to determine health services barriers during the pandemic. They were analyzed descriptively. Samples took with quota sampling, with a total of 30 midwives in Candi Sidoarjo sub-district. The research instrument used a questionnaire. This study indicates that 70% of midwives have good knowledge but do not implement standard pregnancy care during the pandemic. The analysis results show that there is no relationship between knowledge and standard practice of pregnancy services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Conclusion: Most midwives have good knowledge and do not practice standard pregnancy services during the Covid- 19 pandemic. Suggestion. The next research is to identify the achievements of the pregnancy service program during the Covid-19 pandemic

Background: Surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) carries the known risk of shedding debris into the left ventricle during valve leaflet excision and annulus debridement. Embolization of this debris may have devastating effects for the patient. While surgeons have developed methods to mitigate this risk, no data exists as to their efficacy. Herein, we present the first study that evaluates the efficacy of a technique for capturing debris during SAVR. Methods: Our group conducted a prospective case series of 20 patients who underwent SAVR using the insertion of an intraventricular surgical sponge prior to valve leaflet excision and annulus debridement to capture debris. Surgical sponges were grossly, radiographically, and histologically examined for the presence of cellular and acellular debris to determine the efficacy of this technique. Results: Of the 20 surgical sponges analyzed, 15 (75%) specimens registered positivity for cellular and/or acellular debris. 7 (35%) sponges were grossly positive, 15 (75%) were radiographically positive, and 4 (20%) were histologically positive for calcified debris on examination. Conclusions: This represents the first study that objectively evaluates a method used to capture debris in SAVR procedures. Our results demonstrate a high frequency of debris captured within intraventricular surgical sponges and confirms the efficacy of this technique. While this data is promising, numerous additional approaches exist to capture debris and a best practice standard should exist across the specialty. In addition, this study does not address the clinical outcomes associated with this technique. To these ends, additional data and multicenter collaboration is required.

Horticultural therapy utilizes plants and plant-based activities in the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with various disabilities.  The practice has been in use since the time of ancient Egypt, Hindus and other cultures. In the United States, The American Horticultural Therapy Association is the professional society that has established educational and training standards for those wishing to practice in the profession of horticultural therapy. Various studies have shown the positive mental and physiological healing benefits of plant-based activities.  While horticultural therapy has not achieved the evidence-based practice standard on its own, this treatment approach is flexible and adaptable enough to be integrated into existing scientific evidence-based therapy practices in mental healthcare. Despite current challenges with horticultural therapy practice, the use of plants and plant-based activity as a therapeutic method will continue to have a role in the healthcare community. Plants and gardening activity are benign and non-threatening, making their use in therapeutic treatments an appealing approach to populations worldwide.

This chapter examines how Malaysian contract law deals with extremely one-sided, onerous, or otherwise unfair terms, such as exclusions or limitations of liability, penalty clauses, or restraint of trade clauses. It discusses the overt judicial control of such terms under specific legislation, sometimes targeted exclusively at standard terms or consumer contracts. It also analyses how the Malaysian courts have exercised a more indirect control by employing traditional general contract law doctrines, such as contract formation, interpretation, or the rules on procedural fairness, in order to protect parties against the imposition of unfair terms. A number of hypothetical clauses are analysed to illustrate how Malaysian courts regulate unfair contract terms in practice, standard terms, consumer contracts, exemption clause

Currently, in world practice, standard molybdenum concentrates undergo oxidative firing to obtain technical molybdenum oxide, which is the starting material for the production of ferromolybdenum. For the production of high-purity products, technical oxide is subjected to chemical purification by dissolving it in a solution of ammonia water. Molybdenum salts are precipitated from ammonia solutions, and Fe, Si, Cu, Al impurities are introduced with waste solutions from the technological cycle.
